Good genes run in the family! Inside Larry Emdur's genetically blessed clan and why his son is one of the Eastern Suburbs' most eligible bachelors
Channel Seven presenter Larry Emdur has had a very long TV career spanning over 30 years.
And The Morning Show host, 60, has been just as successful in his personal life after marrying his stunning wife Sylvie in 1995.
The couple met in the 1990s on a plane while she was working as a flight attendant and they went on to tie the knot.
Larry and Sylvie, who share son Jye, 31, and daughter Tia, 26, often gush over their successful relationship and have built an extensive property portfolio over the years.
They are currently building a new home on a property they purchased in Neverfail Bay, Berowra Waters back in 2021.
Their real estate son Jye is in a new relationship with Bella Duncan-Todman after splitting from his long-term partner Taylor Jones in 2023.
It is unclear when they started dating, but Jye went Instagram official with his new love in December 2024.
The hunk has almost 8000 followers on Instagram and frequently posts photos of his globetrotting lifestyle.
His glamorous and equally genetically-blessed sister Tia married husband Rowell Jauco in a lavish ceremony in February 2024.
She previously made headlines for buying a $1million property with her parents as a 19-year-old.
The family is known to have an extensive property portfolio, with Jye also selling his $1.3million apartment in Sydney's Pyrmont in 2023.
In an interview with The Sunday Telegraph's Body+Soul in 2022, Larry and Sylvie revealed their secrets to a successful partnership.
The TV host explained the pair have a pact to create memories by doing something 'crazy' each year while they can.
'We decided we need to do at least one completely crazy thing each year so that we'll have some ridiculously good stories to remind each other about when we're in the nursing home,' he said.

The presenter also said he has never been one to start and argument or to engage in conflict.
'I'd love to be one of those people who can puff their chest out and have a good solid argument but I'm just not.'
'Once I screamed at our son and I ran off and threw up,' he added.
Meanwhile, Sylvie revealed Larry's positivity and optimistic attitude has meant their relationship hasn't caused major problems.
'You never know what you're going to get with him but it's always spontaneous and fun. We're very lovey-dovey,' she said.

The adventurer went public with his stalker hell on Instagram in 2020 NEW CHAPTER TV star, 43, goes Instagram official with new girlfriend after stalking terror and near death experience Click to share on X/Twitter (Opens in new window) Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window) TV hardman Levison Wood has revealed his new girlfriend for the first time after his stalking terror and near death experience. They wrapped up in winter coats, with Levison in a black padded jacket and the new lady in his life wearing a black coat and a khaki beanie hat. He then shared a candid snap of her looking content as she glanced out of a window. While another photo showed them exploring the outdoors and on adventures - including them canoeing and in front a picturesque mountain backdrop. The former Army officer wrote: "Over the years I've met many people on the road, but every now and then, someone comes along who doesn't just travel with you, but changes the pace of the journey entirely. This is Ana. "We've been exploring a shared path together lately, one filled with plenty of adventures, challenges and commitment. "An exciting new chapter awaits." Levison previously told The Sun about his dating life and admitted in 2023 that he's not short of offers since he started making his shows for Channel 4 in 2015. Levison even got advice, however unconventional, on landing a wife during his adventures, the most recent of which saw him travel to Namibia, in southern Africa, to film desert lions. Explorer Levison Wood on becoming a sex symbol He said: 'The lead woman in the Himba tribe initiated me into the tribe by putting clay dreadlocks in my hair, which she said would make me look a lot more stylish. 'They also have this test for men, a sort of coming of age ceremony when they are 12, where they get their bottom two front teeth knocked out with a brick. 'I've obviously still got my teeth, and they were taking the p*** out of me, saying, 'You're never going to find a wife and get married if you've got those teeth'.' He said: 'I'd love to have a family one day, but I don't think there is any need to follow convention and settle down at all. 'Sod that, I'm more up for continuing the adventures, no matter what. But I try to avoid talking about finding someone and love, as the last time I did, I ended up with a stalker.' In 2020 the said stalker was jailed for three months after more than eight months of harassment during which the woman contacted Levison's parents and turned up outside his house in South West London. Speaking about his brush with a stalker, he told The Times: "I've had some persistent fans over the years but this was on another level. "It went from being a nuisance to her contacting family members, turning up outside my house. It wasn't nice: I was looking over my shoulder wherever I went. "I was reluctant at first to contact the police because last year I felt they had bigger things to deal with. "It felt embarrassing more than anything. Women get this a lot more than blokes do, so it was a real learning curve to be on the receiving end." Levison went public with his stalker hell on Instagram in 2020 when he said the person in question had "taken it to the next level" by contacting his family. He wrote at the time: "So the stalker has taken it to the next level and started to message my parents. @brumpolice pls advise is there anything that can be done? "She claims to be a paediatric doctor and records show her license was revoked. This person needs to be removed from any contact with kids." The star later added: "I've blocked this psycho three times today. @instagram does nothing and said individual just sets up new account and puts vile and obscene comments all over my wall." Levison is known for his Channel 4 documentary From Russia To Iran: Crossing The Wild Frontier. He is formerly a member of the British Army and has fought in the war in Afghanistan. In 2010, Levison decided to leave the Army and started pursuing a career in photography and journalism before going on to become a best-selling author. However, in 2021 he decided to rejoin as a Major in the 77th Brigade which was only formed in January 2015. The TV star previously revealed he nearly died while filming for a documentary after his taxi plunged off a 500ft down a cliff face in Western Nepal, while also experiencing other close calls. He told The Sun: 'The times I've been closest to death weren't in the Army but on expedition. 'For this series, in Greenland there was a real risk our boat could have been crushed by ice as the waters change direction with the wind, and in the desert you're up against wild animals. 'Our crew got chased by a lion in Namibia. I had to dive into the back of the car because one was bounding towards me. That was slightly terrifying. 'There are risks everywhere and you have to be very, very vigilant. 'You can imagine the length of the safety form that needs to be filled out. But everyone accepts there are loads of risks. If you want to show people these stories some- body has to be out there on the front line. 'At least I'm not getting shot at this time.' 7 Levison said Ana has changed his life for the better Credit: Instagram 7 The adventurer previously opened up about his scary stalking ordeal Credit: Getty

UK spot that's 'just like Venice' boasts beautiful grounds and gondola rides
This beautiful underrated spot in one UK city has not even been discovered by many locals - and you can explore it on a gondola ride while admiring the amazing views With summer upon us, many are plotting getaways and outdoor escapades to make the most of the sunny season - but jetting off can hit the wallet hard. Fortunately, Britain is brimming with fabulous staycation destinations that promise unique adventures and days out without the hefty price tag. One such gem in Coventry is drawing comparisons to Venice, complete with stunning views, serene waters, and even gondola rides. Coombe Abbey, a grand 12th-century abbey turned four-star hotel, sits amidst 500 acres of breathtaking grounds. Just a stone's throw from Coventry city centre, this historic haven offers a slice of tranquillity and grandeur. And if splurging on a hotel stay isn't in the cards, you can still soak up the scenery for just £15 a head. A TikTok video showcasing the idyllic setting has gone viral after content creator Katy Victoria indulged in a £40 punting package for two, which included a refreshing glass of prosecco each, along the tranquil Coombe Pool. Katy hailed the lake as "Coventry's hidden gem" and described the punting experience, courtesy of Abbey Punks UK, as supremely romantic. "I couldn't stop smiling all night," she shared on her TikTok post. Katy and her partner, both locals, were astonished they'd never come across this enchanting activity before. She expressed her surprise on social media: "We felt like we was in a movie! I honestly feel like more people need to know about this as for us it's right on our door step and we knew nothing about it until a friend shared it on Instagram. "I cannot express enough how amazing it truly was and I promise you will not be disappointed," she enthused. The Abbey Punting Experience offers a serene 35-minute journey around Coombe Abbey's moat, with room for up to six passengers. Kids can enjoy the ride at no cost, while adult fares kick off at £30 for a duo. The voyage lasts around 35 minutes. Abbey Punts describes the experience as "the perfect way to encapsulate the wonder of the park's wildlife, the intriguing history of Coombe and the Medieval Abbey, from its historic moat to the Gate House,". They even offer punting hats for those who fancy a bit of dress-up. Katy shared: "Whether you want to book a proposal, a date night or just show up after a day at the park he's very flexible with times. The majority of the time a booking isn't required so just go to the reception of the hotel and you will find a sign for Abbey Punts to the right of you. Or you can find his WhatsApp on his website which is what I did because I wanted to make sure we reserved the sunset slot." Summing up her experience, Katy said: "We honestly didn't know what to expect at first but hands down one of the most unique experiences I've ever had, we're definitely going back." Surprised locals have been reacting to Katy's video with one commenting: "Wait what! I'm from Coventry? This is a thing? Since when?". Another local chimed in: "Hold the phone, I'm from Cov and didn't know about this, since when?". Another person added: "I had no idea you could do this at Coombe! Literally 20 mins from us, definitely on my list now!". Another individual shared a cherished memory, commenting: "We had one of the first weddings he did (it's our anniversary tomorrow) and it was so special for our guests to use in the evening, they loved it!". Another person reminisced: "Wow we stayed here a few years ago- I want to go back and do this now!". How to get there If you are travelling from Coventry centre it is around a 15-minute drive to Coombe Abbey. If you are from out of town, you can drive or get a train to Coventry train station. A swift train journey from London Euston via Avanti West Coast to Coventry takes roughly 55 minutes. Direct trains to Coventry are also available from Manchester Piccadilly and Birmingham New Street.

Dua Lipa finally confirms engagement to Callum Turner
It's been half a year since Dua Lipa, 29, sparked engagement speculation after flashing a chunky ring over Christmas— and it's finally official. The Levitating hitmaker revealed that she is engaged to her boyfriend Callum Turner after he proposed with a very special ring. An Instagram photo dump first sparked rumours as a sparkling diamond could be seen on that finger, but Dua stayed silent. Months after teasing fans, she confirmed in an interview with British Vogue that she and Callum, 35, are set to tie the knot. 'Yeah, we're engaged,' last year's Glastonbury headliner cooly shared. 'It's very exciting. This decision to grow old together, to see a life and just, I don't know, be best friends forever – it's a really special feeling.' Dua revealed that Callum popped the question with a custom-made ring, which he had consulted with her sister Rina over. 'I'm obsessed with it,' she continued. 'It's so me. It's nice to know the person that you're going to spend the rest of your life with knows you very well.' The happy couple began dating in January 2024 and made their relationship Instagram official in July. Dua was first spotted out with the Fantastic Beasts actor in March, with the pair grabbing a spot of dinner on date night in London. The Houdini icon had seen him before they began dating, having bumped into each other at The River Cafe and been introduced by the co-founder and Table 4 podcast host Ruth Rogers. At this point, Callum was simply 'that really hot guy' from the cafe, but a year later, their paths crossed once more, and she took the plunge. Book fanatic Dua bonded with the actor over the fact they were both reading the same novel — a real compatibility test. Despite this meet-cute, the duo are not rushing down the aisle as between Callum's film shoots and Dua's tour there is little time to plan. 'We're just enjoying this period,' she explained. 'I've never been someone who's really thought about a wedding, or dreamt about what kind of bride I would be. All of a sudden I'm like: 'Oh, what would I wear?'' We're sure whatever Dua chooses to wear will be a show-stopper. When the rumours of their engagement began last year, a source told The Sun: 'They are engaged and couldn't be happier. 'Dua has had one of the best years of her career professionally, and this is the cherry on the cake. Callum is such a solid support for Dua, and they make a wonderful couple.' Last year was certainly a big one for the Future Nostalgia icon as she headlined Glastonbury alongside Coldplay and Sza. Her set was praised by festival goers, filled with big hits, dance numbers, and a guest appearance from Tame Impala. However, it wasn't just on stage she was making an impact as Dua went viral for an interaction with a man who sang to her backstage. More Trending Dua was enjoying some downtime wandering around the 15000-acre site when a fan armed with a ukulele stopped her. The Camden busker introduced himself, and said: 'I want to play you 30 seconds of my song and if you like it, I just want your reaction.' Glancing at the camera, Dua agreed with the busker launching into exactly 30 seconds of his ukulele song before she cut him off and said, 'Well done mate. So good, so good.' As she attempted to escape, the guy asked for a hug — which Dua politely obliged before high-tailing it out of there and making a beeline for Callum. Got a story?
