Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 expected to launch with Exynos 2500 chip? Here is what you need to know
Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 new chipset leaks: The smartphone market is buzzing with the newest speculations about Samsung's upcoming Galaxy Z Flip 7. This highly anticipated smartphone is supposed to include some interesting new capabilities, and tech fans are anxious to discover more.
If recent leaks are to be believed, the Galaxy Z Flip 7 could revolutionize the foldable smartphone market. In this post, we'll look at the latest news and rumors about this gadget, including what we know so far and what to expect from Samsung's next-generation foldable. We'll examine everything from anticipated updates to release date rumors.
Samsung's Galaxy Z Flip 7 expected launch
The Galaxy Z Flip 7 and Fold 7 should become official in early July, alongside One UI 8.
Samsung's Galaxy Z Flip 7 new chipset
According to Sammobile sources, the Galaxy Z Flip 7 will use the Exynos 2500 processor in most regions, including India and South Korea. This is the first time an Exynos processor will be used in a Galaxy Z series phone.
It has the model number S5E9955 and replaces last year's Exynos 2400 (S5E9945) processor, which was utilized in the Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S24+ in most countries worldwide. The Exynos 2500 is a 3nm chip built by Samsung's in-house chip company, System LSI, and manufactured using Samsung Foundry's second-generation 3nm production node.
According to prior reports, it has a 10-core CPU, an Xclipse 950 GPU (based on the AMD RDNA 3.5 architecture), and 16MB of L3 cache. Samsung often employs Exynos CPUs in its high-end phones in most countries, with the exception of Canada, China, and the United States. It will be the same with the Galaxy Z Flip 7.
Samsung could continue with the Snapdragon 8 Elite for the Chinese and North American markets. The Exynos 2500 may be a better option for thin phones like the Galaxy Z Flip 7, while the Snapdragon 8 Elite gets hot in ultra-thin phones like the Galaxy S25 Edge. However, things will only become clearer after we review the phone in the following months.

Samsung's Galaxy Z Flip 7 expected specifications
Rumors have circulated about the Galaxy Z Flip 7's storage and RAM variations. The clamshell is now believed to come with 12GB of storage (no 16GB variation or anything spectacular to expect here), as well as the standard 256GB and 512GB of non-expandable storage. We are unlikely to receive a 1TB option.
Previously, it was anticipated that the Galaxy Z Flip 7 would not have significant design updates. However, freshly published renders suggest that the Z Flip 7 will feature a revamped cover display, which may be larger than previous models.
The Flip 7 maintains its clean, flat edges and will be available in a variety of bright, vivid colors. We may notice fresh blues, greens, silver, or white.
The phone should maintain its robust build and solid hinge as before. In the meanwhile, many people are worrying about the crease. Samsung practically eliminated it with the Z Flip 6, so the Flip 7 will make it even less noticeable.
Even if the phone becomes slimmer for a sleeker appearance, it is likely to feel strong and well-built, just like its predecessor.
Samsung's Galaxy Z Flip 7 expected price
According to speculations, Samsung plans to keep its foldables priced the same this year. If this is accurate, the Galaxy Z Flip 7 might start at $1,099 for 256GB of storage.

OnePlus Pad 3 with Snapdragon 8 Elite processor launching next week: All you need to know
OnePlus has confirmed that its latest Android tablet, the OnePlus Pad 3, will be launched in North America, Europe and the UK on 5 June, powered by the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite processor. On the same day, the company is also set to launch its India-exclusive OnePlus 13s compact flagship, which will feature the same SoC. However, the company is yet to announce whether the new tablet will be launched in India. The timing does seem ideal, given that last year's OnePlus Pad 2 also debuted around the same time during the OnePlus Summer Launch event. OnePlus Pad 3 will feature Open Canvas, which debuted with the OnePlus Open in 2023 and was later introduced to the OnePlus Pad 2 last year. This feature enables users to multitask with ease by opening up to three apps simultaneously. The promo images also reveal that, just like last year, OnePlus will offer a separate keyboard and stylus for the tablet. However, these accessories will most likely be sold separately. Leaks suggest that the tablet could be a rebranded version of the OnePlus Pad 2 Pro, launched in China last month. If these rumours are true, the tablet could feature a 13.2-inch, 3.4K, 144 Hz display with a High Brightness Mode (HBM) of 900 nits. Apart from being powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC, the tablet could come with up to 16 GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 512 GB of UFS 4.0 storage. In terms of optics, it could feature a 13 MP primary camera with an LED flash and an 8 MP front-facing camera for video calls and the occasional selfie. The tablet could feature a 12,140 mAh battery with support for 67 W SuperVOOC wired fast charging. It is expected to run on Oxygen OS 15, based on Android 15, and support all the new AI features already seen on the OnePlus 13 (Review) and OnePlus 13R (Review).

Top 4 Best-Selling Smartphones in Q1 2025 Are All iPhones
Apple secured the top four spots in the list of best-selling smartphones worldwide during the first quarter of 2025, with the iPhone 16 emerging the highest-selling device globally. According to Counterpoint Research, iPhone 16 was followed by iPhone 16 Pro Max, iPhone 16 Pro, and iPhone 15. This quarter also marked the return of the base iPhone model with Apple keeping its presence in the global top-10 list. iPhone 16e made a strong debut, securing sixth place in the global top-10 list for March 2025—its first full month of availability. Despite its higher price point compared to the iPhone SE 2022, the 16e is expected to outperform its predecessor over the course of its first year, thanks to significant technological upgrades and an expanded feature set. Top-Performing Countries The iPhone 16 performed well in Japan and the Middle East and Africa (MEA) region, with Japan registering the highest growth in sales of the base variant. Improved economic conditions and revised subsidy regulations supported Apple's pricing strategy and ecosystem, further enhancing its appeal in the Japanese market. The iPhone 16 Pro Max and iPhone 16 Pro took the second and third spots, respectively. However, the Pro series faced headwinds in China due to government subsidies favouring devices priced under CNY6,000 ($833) and intense competition in the premium segment from local OEMs such as Huawei. Despite these challenges, the Pro models accounted for half of Apple's total iPhone sales for the third consecutive quarter. Samsung Meanwhile, Samsung had one fewer model in the top-10 compared to the same period last year. Although the overall share of the top 10 smartphones in global sales remained steady, there was an uptick in the share of low-end smartphones (below $100) within the list. Samsung's flagship Galaxy S25 Ultra ranked seventh in Q1 2025, down from fifth place held by the S24 Ultra in Q1 2024. According to Counterpoint, the drop was due to a shorter sales window for the S25 Ultra during the quarter. Despite this, the S25 series delivered stable performance, contributing one-fourth of Samsung's total smartphone sales during its launch month. The Galaxy A16 5G claimed fifth place in Q1 2025. The A16 5G recorded a 17% year-over-year (YoY) growth, supported by broader availability in markets like North America, where it launched in January 2025. North America accounted for one-third of its total global sales. Additional momentum came from the Asia-Pacific (APAC), Latin America (LATAM), and MEA regions, where it gained popularity in the budget 5G segment. The Galaxy A06 also experienced strong growth in Q1 2025, rising four spots in the top-10 list compared to its predecessor in the same period in 2024. This was part of a broader surge in low-end smartphone demand across regions. MEA, APAC, and LATAM together contributed to three-fourths of global sales in this segment. As the supply of low-cost components improved, the low-end segment became the fastest-growing in Q1 2025, capturing nearly 20% of total global smartphone sales.
