Amir, Malaysian PM explore ways to boost ties

His Highness the Amir of the State of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani met with Prime Minister of Malaysia HE Dr Anwar Ibrahim on the sidelines of the second ASEAN-GCC Summit, held at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Center in Malaysia. The meeting discussed areas of bilateral cooperation and explored ways to enhance them across various sectors, particularly in investment and economy. The two sides also exchanged views on the latest regional and international development, as well as the topics listed on the Summit agenda.
The meeting was attended by Chief of the Amiri Diwan HE Abdullah bin Mohammed Al Khulaifi, Minister of Commerce and Industry HE Sheikh Faisal bin Thani Al Thani, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs HE Sultan bin Saad Al Muraikhi, and a number of members of the official delegation accompanying HH the Amir. Attending from the Malaysian side were HE Minister of Foreign Affairs Mohamad Hasan, HE Minister of Investment and Trade Tengku Zafrul, and high-ranking officials.
