Harian Metro reported today that this special screening was part of the company's Tech For Good initiative, falling under its social ESG core.
In collaboration with Primeworks Studios and Pepper Labs, the event successfully brought together 200 attendees.
This included 100 individuals from the People's Housing Programme (PPR) community around the Klang Valley, alongside 100 staff and their families from REV Media Group.
The presence of the beloved mascots, Ejen Ali and Ejen Alicia, delighted the younger audience members, transforming the screening into not just an entertaining activity but also a precious moment for those who rarely have the chance to watch films in cinemas.
REV Media Group CEO Samuel Wee expressed his company's gratitude for being able to bring this best-selling Malaysian animated film to a community that might otherwise miss the opportunity to see it.
"The Tech For Good programme is a reflection of our commitment to using technology and media to bring about meaningful change," he said.
He also highlighted the film's impressive box office collection of RM40.6 million, adding that it continues to make an impact, not only in cinemas but also in people's lives.
This initiative underscores REV Media Group's dedication to contributing to society and leveraging their digital platforms to bridge social gaps and foster a spirit of unity through entertainment.

Multilingual rapper-songwriter Balan Kash unveils powerful new music video 'Cekap' in the spirit of Merdeka month
In conjunction with Malaysia's Independence Month, renowned rapper-songwriter and creative force Balan Kash returns with his latest offering — the official music video (MV) for 'Cekap', produced by Balan Kash Entertainment. More than just a visual project, this release highlights Balan Kash's versatility as an artist while weaving a powerful story of Malaysian pride and identity through a MV in symbolism. In addition, Balan Kash has recently earned even more recognition by being nominated for two of his songs in the 'Best Hip-Hop Song' category at the 24th Anugerah Industri Muzik (AIM24), further solidifying his exceptional accomplishments in the music industry. 'Cekap' – More Than Just a Song " Cekap " , the title track of Balan Kash's first full-length Malay-language album, presents a unique fusion of modern hip-hop, classical Indian sounds, and traditional Malaysian influences. The word 'cekap' in local slang, meaning 'sharp' or 'on-point,' reflects bravery and confidence in voicing issues that resonate with the hearts of Malaysians. For Balan Kash, this piece goes beyond entertainment. It serves as a reminder that after more than 60 years of independence, Malaysians — regardless of race, language, or culture — continue to share a common spirit: the spirit of unity. A Visual Narrative Of Identity & Unity Directed by Kinggolddigga, the " Cekap " Music Video (MV) invites viewers into a striking visual narrative about identity and national unity. It opens with a traditional Dikir Barat performance, with Balan Kash standing at the center of a circle of musicians — a symbolic merging of cultural heritage with his contemporary musical style. 'I wanted to start with something that represents Malaysia. Dikir Barat is close to all of us, and I believe modern music can co-exist harmoniously with tradition,' says Balan Kash. The story then shifts to a blood donation cent re , a powerful metaphor that reminds us that, despite our differences, Malaysians share the same blood. 'Regardless of race or religion, our blood runs the same — red. That's the foundation of unity I want people to feel when they watch this MV,' he adds. The climax comes in the 'Circle of Unity' sequence, where a diverse group of Malaysians dip their hands in red paint and form a symbolic circle of shared identity. A dramatic scene between Balan Kash and the police resolves peacefully with a handshake, representing reconciliation and understanding. These visuals are reinforced with stylized performance shots — from flashing police cars to a bold red background — underscoring themes of pride, courage, and love for the nation. 'For me, " Cekap " is not just a song, but a reflection of the Malaysian spirit I've carried since childhood. Growing up in Klang, surrounded by a vibrant multicultural community, I learned that our strength comes from unity — not division. That's the true essence I wanted to express through this MV,' says Balan Kash passionately. Speaking about " Cekap " , Balan Kash reflects on its significance: 'As Malaysians, we may have different stories, but we all share the same spirit. " Cekap " is my way of celebrating freedom, diversity, and the strength we hold when we stand together. This MV is my dedication to our beloved homeland — a reminder that no matter the challenges, we are always one.' " Cekap " was also produced under the Dana Kebolehan Pasaran (Domestik 2.0) by DKK (Dana Kandungan Kreatif) Industri Muzik, an initiative supported by MyCreative Ventures and the Kementerian Komunikasi & Multimedia Malaysia (KKMM). Balan Kash Entertainment also extended its appreciation: ' B alan Kash Entertainment wishes to express our heartfelt gratitude to KKMM via MyCreative Ventures for the government's continuous support towards the development of the creative industry through the Dana Kandungan Kreatif (DKK).' NOTE: Do not miss the chance to watch Balan Kash's brand-new music video 'Cekap', now streaming exclusively on his official YouTube channel from 9pm on Thursday (Aug 21).
