Love Is Blind UK: Meet Yolanda - And Her Very Famous Cousin

Graziadaily6 hours ago
Would you get engaged to someone you've never seen IRL before? It might seem like a crazy idea, but this is exactly the premise of Love Is Blind, which has landed back on our screens for a second series.
The show, hosted by Matt and Emma Willis, follows 30 singletons as they get to know each other soundproof pods, interacting just by conversation. It's only when a couple gets engaged in the pod that they meet on their honeymoon – and finally come face to face. The couples then navigate life in the real word together – which is where the real drama starts to unfold. From there, it's a matter of time who will make it to the wedding.
For season two, we've already seen a stellar line up of singletons ready to find their chance at true love, including Sophie, Ashleigh and Singer. One other singleton looking to make an impact is Yolanda – who has a very famous cousin.
Yolanda is a Specialist occupational therapist and a contestant on Love Is Blind. She is from Hampshire and is a self-confessed adrenaline junkie who enjoys sky diving and bungee jumping.
Netflix says 'Yolanda is known as 'a 'ride or die' by friends and family, spending her days and nights looking after the people she loves the most.'
Yolanda is 26, making her the youngest single on the show. However, according to Netflix she considers herself to be 'wise beyond her years.'
It turns out Yolanda already has some reality TV links. Her cousin is Mimii Ngulube - whose real name is Michelle – who won Love Island last year alongside Josh Oyinsan. In fact, Yolanda even appeared on Aftersun to support her and discussed the moment Josh snogged Grace in one of the challenges.
The pair have also starred alongside each other in a Boots Christmas campaign. A caption for the video read: 'Join Mimii and her cousin Yolanda as they pick out some of the best beauty and fragrance gifts from Boots this Christmas.'

Princess Andre shrugs off mum Katie Price and dad Peter's feud as she returns to social media amid slanging match

She is seemingly unfazed by the drama and has shrugged off her parents' public spat UNFAZED Princess Andre shrugs off mum Katie Price and dad Peter's feud as she returns to social media amid slanging match Click to share on X/Twitter (Opens in new window) Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window) PRINCESS Andre has shrugged off her mum and dad's feud by returning to social media hours after Peter's bombshell statement. Princess, 18, is currently caught up in between her mum and dad's public slanging match. The former couple were married with two children, Princess and Junior, before their bitter split in 2009. And now, after the shocking revelation of Peter having had Princess and Junior in his care since 2018 now coming to light, the young reality starlet is shaking off the drama. Taking to her Instagram stories amid the public feud between her mum and dad, Princess seemed unfazed as she shared what she was watching with her fans. Princess shared a photo of her television, with what appeared to be the hit Netflix series Ginny and Georgia. Alongside the snap, she penned: "I'm so so so obsessed with this show rn." Princess' post came just mere hours after her dad Peter revealed that she and her brother Junior were placed in his care seven years ago "for their safety". Taking to Instagram, Peter spoke out just hours after Katie said she had made contact with him after their fallout over daughter Princess. In the statement shared on his social media page, Peter penned: "For sixteen years I have stayed silent in the face of repeated lies from my ex-wife and her family, out of respect for my children and loved ones. "But staying silent has been incredibly frustrating. That ends today." Princess Andre takes TWO subtle swipes at mum Katie Price as she reveals what she will NEVER do to follow in her footsteps He continued: "The latest comments about my children's welfare and living arrangements compel me to set the record straight. "For well-documented reasons, and for their safety, Junior and Princess came into my care in 2018 and remained with me until they reached adulthood. "In 2019, the family courts issued a legally binding order to enforce this arrangement. "I have never made this public before out of respect for my children." Pete went on: "In 2011 and 2015, publicly documented court cases found my ex wife had made false claims. "She was ordered to pay substantial damages and legal costs, and to apologise, to me and my management. "The same falsehoods are being repeated today." He concluded: "Unfortunately, there are many more lies and baseless accusations that I have yet to address. Those will be dealt with in the coming months." Pete spoke out after the former glamour model insisted that she's a "bloody good mum" to her five children and wants to sit down with Pete to discuss their issues once and for all. Katie said on her recent podcast: "There's no reason why both parents just can't be there to support her. Now this isn't about me. I have to clarify this. "I don't care that I'm not in Princess's show. "I don't need to raise my profile by being on Princess's show, I do enough stuff. "All what I want to do, is just whatever my daughter does, and it's the same with Junior, I don't care if I'm in the background, but I want to watch her do her photo shoots, I wanna watch her do her signings, because that's what I did. "And my mum and you and Nan used to come along and support, and I'm proud of her. "And I just wanna be there with her because I now I feel that I've missed out on so much." She concluded: "Life would be more at peace because I don't have a problem. "For the sake of the children, there's room for everyone to support your kids. "Do you know what I mean? I'm not saying I have to stand with them and play happy families."

Gwendoline Christie is returning to Wednesday season 2 part 2

Gwendoline Christie, who portrayed Larissa Weems in Netflix's Wednesday, is confirmed to return for the final four episodes of season two, despite her character's death in the first season. Christie announced her comeback at a promotional event in Sydney, Australia, alongside co-stars Jenna Ortega and Emma Myers, teasing her return by saying, 'I was never gone. You just stopped looking.' Her character, Nevermore Academy headmistress Larissa Weems, was killed off in the show's first season, a decision that many viewers criticized as 'pointless' and 'anticlimactic.' Showrunners Alfred Gough and Miles Millar had previously stated that Christie was 'totally on board' with her character's demise, finding it surprising. The new season of Wednesday, which has aired four episodes, will release its remaining episodes on September 3, with fans also anticipating more emotional expression from Jenna Ortega's lead character.
