In a video which has racked up over 106,000 likes, she showed how you simply need to play the cotton pad inside your blusher or powder.
You can then snap the lip shut and your powder will be protected from any bashes, which could lead to it cracking.
Maya explained: 'Without it, there's more chance of cracking or breaking.
'The cotton pad acts like padding so if it gets thrown or hit it'll be more dense together, decreasing the risk.'
