Former Arsenal midfielder Thomas Partey charged with raping two women
Partey's lawyer Jenny Wiltshire said he 'denies all the charges against him', adding: 'He now welcomes the opportunity to finally clear his name.'
Partey was charged four days after leaving the north London club.
The sexual assault allegation relates to a third woman, police added.
Partey is accused of two counts of rape against one woman and three counts of rape against another.
The force said it first received reports of an allegation of rape in February 2022.
Ms Wiltshire said the 32-year-old has 'fully co-operated with the police and CPS (Crown Prosecution Service) throughout their three-year investigation'.
Partey, of Hertfordshire, is due to appear at Westminster Magistrates' Court on August 5.
Detective Superintendent Andy Furphy, whose team is leading the investigation, said: 'Our priority remains providing support to the women who have come forward.
'We would ask anyone who has been impacted by this case, or anyone who has information, to speak with our team.

Partey joined Arsenal from Atletico Madrid in 2020 in a transfer worth around £45 million.
The defensive midfielder signed for the Spanish club in 2012 and made 188 appearances – as well as going out on loan to Mallorca and Leganes.
He played 35 games for the north London club in the Premier League last season, scoring four goals.
Partey has also made more than 50 appearances for Ghana – including at the World Cup and the Africa Cup of Nations.
He left Arsenal following the expiry of his contract on Monday.

Gunderson: Scotland 'ready for battle' against England
There's always an edge when Scotland take on England and one of the Scottish U20 women's captains Merryn Gunderson has said her side is ready for the battle when they take on their Red Rose counterparts on Saturday. The two sides face off against one another in the opening round of fixtures of the 2025 Six Nations Women's Summer Series at the Centre for Sporting Excellence in Ystrad Mynach, Caerphilly. It is the second edition of the U20 tournament, which debuted in Italy, and after suffering three defeats out of three 12 months ago, the class of 2025 only have eyes for success in Wales this time around. And Gunderson, who is part of a leadership group of four and will captain her country against England, knows her team is ready for the challenge ahead. 'Every single one of the girls is up for the battle that we're going to be given, which will be really good,' the 21-year-old back rower said. 'We will fight for it, we're ready to go out there and show what we can do and what we're worth.' Gunderson plays domestically for Corstorphine Cougars/Edinburgh Rugby, having started playing the sport aged four due to her father being a coach at Forrester Rugby Club, and explained there's a good feeling around the camp ahead of their opening clash. 'We're really excited, we've had such a big build-up this year which has been really nice,' she continued. 'Going from Italy last year to come to [Wales] this year, it's good vibes. We've had really good vibes in the squad, and it's been really nice to be around.' Following on from the 2024 Women's Summer Series, 14 players across the six countries went on to achieve senior honours during the 2025 Guinness Women's Six Nations, including Scotland's Molly Poolman. And Gunderson highlighted the importance of the competition for giving players the opportunity to standout and to use it as a springboard to break into the senior team. 'It's a massive incentive for the girls,' she added. 'It's a great incentive to kick-off the World Cup too; that we can play before it and show what we can do. 'It's massively important this tournament exists and is shown on the platforms that they've got. We can show that women's rugby is growing and going from strength to strength.' With women's rugby on an upward trajectory, the 2025 Six Nations Women's Summer Series is a big chance for stars of the future to gain vital international experience, graduate along the development pathway, while also inspiring a new generation of rugby fans. Arsenal are interested in a summer move for Real Madrid winger Rodrygo, and Bernabeu manager Xabi Alonso confirmed where the Brazilian's head is at amid his uncertain future Real Madrid boss Xabi Alonso insisted Rodrygo's focus remains on the Spanish giants despite rumours linking him with a move to Arsenal. The 24-year-old's future at the Santiago Bernabeu was thrust into uncertainty last season after falling down the pecking order under Carlo Ancelotti. No longer a starter due to the attacking trio of Vinicius Junior, Kylian Mbappe and Jude Bellingham, the Brazilian looked likely to move on from Madrid after six years at the club, having signed in 2019 at just 18 years of age. It was the Gunners who emerged as the favourites to clinch his signature, given Mikel Arteta's aim to improve his attacking options ahead of the 2025/26 season. But it is understood the Premier League side will have to fork out in excess of £70million to land the winger, who is also said to be of interest to Bayern Munich and Paris Saint Germain. "I'm sure Rodrygo can return to his best form," the Spaniard said. "I spoke with him; he's positive, eager, and ready when needed." This wasn't the first time Alonso insisted that Rodygo is still considered an important member of his squad, a sentiment he stated after Madrid's 1-0 win over Juventus this past week. "After the game I try to approach everyone I meet along the way," he said. "He had a few minutes [against Salzburg] that were important for him and he will be important. Watch France vs England for free as Lionesses begin defence at Euro 2025
The Lionesses begin their Euro 2025 campaign against France on Saturday night. England gave the nation its first major international trophy since the men's team won the World Cup in 1966 when they triumphed on home turf in 2022. England coach Sarina Wiegman is now looking to repeat the feat three years on. However, she will have to rally her team to overcome the side that pipped them to top spot in their qualifying group. The Lionesses are in something of a transitional state after losing vital players like Mary Earps, who has retired from international football, and Millie Bright, who has pulled out of the competition. However, Chelsea's Hannah Hampton is set to step up between the sticks while Alessia Russo, Ella Toone and Michelle Agyemang are expected to make their mark, as the team have been playing their way into form ahead of the tournament. The omens are good for England. No reigning champion has ever lost their first game at the next tournament and they've won three of their last six matches against France in all competitions. However, this will be a stern test with their opponents having not lost their opening game at any of their last nine major tournaments. The Lionesses have been drawn into a daunting group and will also have to face the Netherlands and Wales. Wiegman will need her team to be firing on all cylinders as they look to bounce back at a major tournament after losing the World Cup final to Spain two years ago. The Group D encounter will get underway on Saturday, July 5, with kick-off set for 8pm UK time. The fixture will take place at the Stadion Letzigrund, Zurich, Switzerland.
