Celebs Go Dating is a British reality dating series that launched on E4 in 2016 and has become one of Channel 4's streaming success stories. The beloved celebrity matchmaking show was the network's second most-watched streaming program in September 2024, proving its staying power in the competitive reality TV landscape. The format centers around an exclusive dating agency where celebrities work with relationship experts to confront their romantic patterns and fears. These famous faces then go on real dates with carefully selected members of the public, creating authentic moments of connection, rejection, and personal growth under the watchful guidance of professional matchmakers.
The show's enduring appeal lies in its ability to reveal universal dating struggles (who knew, celebs have awkward dates just like us!) As relationship expert Paul Carrick Brunson explained in a 2022 interview with Vice, 'What happens with all the celebs is that they walk into the agency and they think, 'This is TV, we're gonna have a good time!' And they get in here and they're like, 'Oh my god it's real, they're real! They really mean business!' Then when they leave the agency, and they get a message from us on IG or WhatsApp, or they reach out to us when they have a problem, they realize this is much more than a television show.'

ExpressVPN is one of the most popular VPN services and the one we recommend the most of any VPN service we've tried. The service—which allows users to set their location to over 160 locations in 105 countries with unlimited bandwidth—offers a 30-day free trial and a money-back guarantee with several subscription options to fit different viewing needs. The monthly plan starts at $12.99, which works well if you don't want a long-term commitment. The best value, however, comes with the two-year plan at just $3.49 per month—a 73% savings compared to the monthly rate. You'll pay $97.72 upfront for 28 months (24 months plus 4 free bonus months), then it renews annually. There's also a middle option with the annual plan at $4.49 monthly, offering 67% savings. ExpressVPN only takes around five minutes to set up, and also promises lightning-quick connectivity and 24-hour live-chat support, and allows users to connect to any device, from computers to phones to tablets.

Reality TV Star's Daughter Breaks Silence on Near-Death Ordeal

Reality TV Star's Daughter Breaks Silence on Near-Death Ordeal originally appeared on Parade. The older daughter of Jamie Lynn Spears has spoken for the first time about the accident that nearly took her life. Spears, the sister of iconic singer Britney Spears, has previously referenced the frightening incident. She has appeared on reality television shows such as Dancing with the Stars, Special Forces: World's Toughest Test, and the U.K. show I'm a Me Out of Here. Now, Spears' 17-year-old daughter, , referred to the harrowing accident herself. On August 13, Watson published a YouTube video on her new channel. It wasn't her first video, but it was the longest she had shared so far. Watson explained that her goal with the YouTube channel was to document her senior year. In this video, however, Watson took some time to reflect on how accident-prone and "injury-prone" she was throughout her childhood. She mentioned having asthma, which led to numerous hospital visits, and she experienced injuries to her ankle, wrist, knee, hips, and back over the years. She noted, "But, I've never broke[n] my neck. I did have an accident, though. I was in a coma, and I came back to life, and I'm very blessed." Aldridge quipped, "So yeah, I've just been very accident-prone. I swear my parents are amazing, and they did not do anything to me." Jamie Lynn Spears' Daughter Nearly Died in an ATV Accident As People noted, Spears talked about the incident during her time on I'm a Me Out of Here." The accident happened in 2017, when Watson was still quite young. "I almost lost my oldest daughter ... She drowned and we couldn't save her," Spears revealed. She continued, "We tried really hard. She was trapped under a little side-by-side that we ride around our pond." Spears added, "My father-in-law, my mother-in-law, me, and my husband, we run to jump in to save her, and you kind of — in that moment you think, 'This is not real. She's going to pop up, this isn't real.'" The reality TV veteran shared, "I could feel her arm, and I'm jerking it, I couldn't get her up because it's a pretty heavy machine. In that moment, you think, you know logically she's been underwater too long." Spears' mother-in-law had immediately called 911, and emergency personnel quickly arrived as the family worked on rescuing Watson. "[Maddie] was caught in the safety netting. So when they got there, she was not alive. They took her from me, and they intubated her," Spears recalled. Watson was airlifted to the hospital and placed on life support. The family even brought in a priest to do her last rites. "Her spirit responded to it for whatever reason. She got better and better every day and walked out of the hospital. [She] has had no repercussions," Spears explained. The Reality TV Alum Is Proud of Her Daughter for Persevering Spears shared her daughter's video on her Instagram page and included a heartwarming caption. She noted the YouTube channel "has now turned into a way for [Watson] to share the not so fun parts of her life too." She added, "I'm so proud of this kid, she never lets anything or anyone sit her down, and sharing her journey through it all hopefully inspires others to never stop going hard for what they want out of life." Meghan Markle's Netflix Series Faces Backlash Over Chrissy Teigen Guest Spot

Though the second season of Meghan Markle's lifestyle series doesn't debut until later this month, one of the Duchess of Sussex's upcoming guest stars is already drawing a heated reaction. On Tuesday, Netflix unveiled the Season 2 trailer for 'With Love, Meghan,' which hits the streaming platform Aug. 26. In it, Markle can be seen with a number of celebrity pals, including chef David Chang and 'Queer Eye' fashion expert Tan France. Related: Among those also set to appear on the series is Chrissy Teigen. The model and TV personality, who is married to musician John Legend, can be spotted in the trailer joining Markle for what looks like a crafting session. 'Oh my gosh, I could do this every day,' she proclaims. Related: By Thursday, Teigen's appearance in the 'With Love, Meghan' trailer had been met with a fair amount of backlash online, with some calling Markle's decision to include the 'Cravings' author in her lineup of guests 'despicable' and 'a grotesque miscalculation.' 'Netflix should cancel the episode with Chrissy Teigen as she is the ultimate cyber bully,' one person wrote in the comments on Netflix's official YouTube page. 'Netflix is now promoting a cyber bully.' Wrote Jezebel: 'The purported anti-bullying advocate opened the doors of her rich friend's Montecito mansion to one of the internet's most prolific bullies.' Watch the trailer for Season 2 of 'With Love, Meghan' below. Much of the criticism stems from Teigen's previous online exchanges with fellow model and TV personality Courtney Stodden. In 2021, Stodden ― who is nonbinary and uses they/them pronouns ― gave a lengthy interview to The Daily Beast in which they called out Teigen for routinely harassing them on X, then known as Twitter, while they were still a teenager. 'She wouldn't just publicly tweet about wanting me to take 'a dirt nap' but would privately DM me and tell me to kill myself,' Stodden, who was 26 at the time of the interview, told the outlet. 'Things like, 'I can't wait for you to die.'' Shortly after Stodden's interview was published, Teigen issued a lengthy apology. 'I'm mortified and sad at who I used to be. I was an insecure, attention-seeking troll,' she wrote. 'I am ashamed and completely embarrassed at my behavior but that is nothing compared to how I made Courtney feel.' Markle has not yet responded publicly to the criticism. HuffPost has reached out to a representative for Teigen seeking comment, but did not immediately hear back. The trailer for 'With Love, Meghan' was released just days after Netflix announced it had extended its partnership with Markle and her husband, Prince Harry. As some outlets pointed out, however, the new contract wasn't nearly as extensive as the overall deal the Duke and Duchess of Sussex initially struck with the streaming platform in 2020. When the first season of 'With Love, Meghan' premiered earlier this year, reviews were mixed to negative, with some comparing it unfavorably to 'Pamela's Cooking With Love,' a cooking show hosted by actor Pamela Anderson. A particularly stinging review by New York Magazine's Vulture blog suggested the main problem with the series was Markle herself. 'She comes off, in short, like a member of the British royal family: afraid of showing vulnerability, obsessed with appearances, and seeking affirmation from a public she cannot be part of,' the outlet noted. 'Nothing could be weirder or more depressing.' Prince Andrew's 'Nasty' Comments About Kate Middleton Revealed As Cause Of Rift With Prince William

Prince Andrew allegedly made some "nasty comments" about Kate Middleton, and in the process, shattered his relationship with Prince William. Reports suggest the Prince of Wales has increasingly grown frustrated with his uncle amid the barrage of controversies that have trailed him in recent times. Prince William is also believed to have concluded plans on keeping Prince Andrew away from the firm when he becomes King. Prince Andrew's 'Nasty Comments' About Kate Ruined His Relationship With Prince William, Author Claims Royal biographer Andrew Lownie has weighed in on the long-standing rift between Prince William and Prince Andrew in his new book titled "Entitled: The Rise and Fall of the House of York." Lownie claims Andrew made a number of "rude" and "unkind" comments about Kate Middleton, which caused his relationship with William to fall apart. The royal author also noted that the alleged remarks came from a place of jealousy as Andrew was envious that the Princess of Wales had become a prominent figure of the royal family following Queen Elizabeth's death. "I can't see how anyone could make unkind comments about Kate when she's been the family's saving grace," Lownie told Radar Online. "It surprised me, but people do get jealous," he added. "I'd have thought Prince Andrew would respect William as future king though than to be nasty about his wife." The Duke Of York's Comments Made The Prince Of Wales Turn His Back On His Disgraced Uncle It remains unknown what exactly was said about the future queen, but Lownie noted that it caused William to turn his back entirely on his uncle. Amid the barrage of controversy that has trailed Andrew, the royal author added that William had grown increasingly frustrated with his uncle. "William has a very strong sense of public duty and is doing his best to keep the show on the road," Lownie said. "He's all about doing things the right way and has enough on his plate without having to think about his uncle." "Everyone is pulling together — Charles, Anne, Edward, William, and others — but the whole side has been let down by Prince Andrew," he added. Prince Andrew No Longer Has A 'Public Future' After Epstein Scandal The Duke of York has been a controversial figure within the royal family for years, especially because of his association with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein and alleged Chinese spy Yang Tengbo. He was stripped of his military titles and royal patronages in 2022 and has since lived a largely private life at Royal Lodge. "I don't think he has any public future," Lownie told Sky News. "I would say his private future is pretty limited, too. I mean, he lives in Royal Lodge [on the Windsor Estate], he plays golf, watches TV, and presumably sees his grandchildren ... he's living the life of a retired man." According to the author, one member of staff noted that the removal of his royal and military titles has stung more than the disgraced royal is willing to admit. "What most annoys him is his lack of a royal status," Lownie added. "That's what really sort of gave him his whole sense of identity. And that's, you know, it's not being able to put on his uniforms and strut around and being self-important." King Charles Has Quit Trying To Evict His Younger Brother From Royal Lodge King Charles and the royal family have reportedly been trying to evict Andrew from his Royal Lodge. However, the duke seemingly achieved a quiet victory as Charles has now thrown in the towel on trying to kick out his younger brother. According to a report, Andrew "has won the row" and would be staying put at the residence, at least for the time being. Despite the small win, royal expert Hillary Fordwich is not convinced Andrew's stay would last long, and he shouldn't celebrate just yet, per Fox News. "This is a limited pyrrhic win, as he's certainly not reclaiming any stature either in public or within his own family," she explained. "His remaining in Royal Lodge is merely due to his legal rights derived from the original binding 75-year lease agreement from 2003 with the Crown Estate rather than anything favorable to Andrew's redemption." Prince Andrew May Run Into Problems Due To The 'Immense Annual Upkeep' Required By Royal Lodge Fordwich added that Royal Lodge requires "immense annual upkeep" that runs into several millions of dollars per year. "Public scrutiny of royal spending is intense," Fordwich said. "It will further destroy his relationship with both his family and the public as he is an entitled embarrassment to both." "In 2028, this issue may well be revisited," she added. "The Crown Estate will then have new grounds to review or revoke the lease due to property maintenance disputes. In the interim, he must fund the estate's costly repairs, all of its upkeep, and his security." Solve the daily Crossword
