Allan Saint-Maximin accuses Mourinho's Fenerbahce side of giving him 'doping products'

Former Newcastle United attacker Allan Saint-Maximin has made a startling allegation about his spell at Fenerbahce with former Roma boss Jose Mourinho.
Speaking on the Zack Nani Podcast, Saint-Maximin claimed Fenerbahce tried to pressure him into breaking anti-doping rules. The winger, who joined the club on loan last season from Saudi Pro League side Al-Ahli, made the allegation while explaining why the team failed to win the league title.

'Jose Mourinho (Fenerbahce manager) gave everything to be champions. But unfortunately, the club was surrounded by factors other than football,' claimed Saint-Maximin.
'To give you an example, they even tried to dope me. People don't know these things. You cannot speak openly because you'll be threatened. They say, 'If you talk, we will do this or that.' Sometimes you find yourself in situations that go beyond football.'
Upon witnessing the chaos his comments caused, Saint-Maximin added more in a post on X.
'I see that things are going all over the place on X, so I'm going to clarify what I said. I was talking about those people around the club who are ready for anything,' he wrote.

'In my case, when I was sick, they practically gave me a treatment that's considered a doping product. I'm unsure for what purpose this team of doctors did that.'
Unsurprisingly, the Turkish giants responded to Saint-Maximin's allegations with a statement of their own.
'By distorting the facts regarding the medical treatment he received following a health issue, the player has attempted to mislead the public and damage the reputation of our club.'
'As Fenerbahce Sports Club, we hereby inform the public that we will exercise all our legal rights against these misleading statements and any attempt to undermine our institutional reputation.'

Woltemade to rejoin Stuttgart team on July 28 amid Bayern rumours

Germany's Nick Woltemade celebrates his side's second goal of the game during the UEFA European Under-21 Championship semi-final soccer match between Germany and France at Kosice Football Arena. Robert Nemeti/dpa VfB Stuttgart forward Nick Woltemade is to rejoin the team on July 28 ahead of the new season despite rumours of a potential transfer to German champions Bayern Munich. Due to his participation in the Nations League Final Four and in the under-21 Euros this summer, he will receive a few extra vacation days. Advertisement But a club spokesperson confirmed on Monday that he will join his team-mates for their pre-season training camp as planned. Over the weekend, there were speculations whether Bayern could rush to sign Woltemade aftertheir midfielder Jamal Musiala fractured his fibula and dislocated his ankle in the Club World Cup quarter-final against Paris Saint-Germain on Saturday. Musiala will undergo surgery and sidelined for several months. However, according to media reports, Bayern and Suttgart are very far from an agreement over the transfer fee. The German Cup champions allegedly want a huge fee, with some reports speaking of close to €100 million ($117.33 million), to get him out of his contract until 2028. Advertisement Stuttgart kicked off their pre-season preparations with performance tests on Monday. In addition to Woltemade, his national team colleagues Deniz Undav, Maximilian Mittelstädt and Alexander Nübel as well as Bosnian international Ermedin Demirovic were also absent. Unlike Woltemade, the quartet will rejoin the team for a friendly match against SV Fellbach on Saturday.

Everton closing in on loan for England's Robinson

Everton are closing in on an agreement to sign England winger Katie Robinson on loan from Aston Villa this summer, with an option to buy clause. The deal is not yet finalised but all parties are confident of an agreement with Robinson planning to carry out a medical at Everton on Wednesday. Advertisement Robinson joined Villa on a free transfer from Brighton in 2024 and has a year remaining on her current contract. The 22-year-old was the youngest member of Sarina Wiegman's Lionesses squad that reached the Women's World Cup final in 2023. She made 16 appearances in all competitions for Villa last season but only started five matches under new manager Natalia Arroyo between January and May. Robinson impressed during her time at Brighton and is considered a young forward with high potential. New striker Daniels will 'add to Killie's quality'

New striker Djenairo Daniels believes moving to the "the big stage" of Kilmarnock is "the best decision" for his career as he joins from Cork City. Dutchman Daniels, 23, signs from the League of Ireland side - who he only joined in April - for an undisclosed fee on a two-year deal. Advertisement "I couldn't wait until everything was done," the PSV youth forward said. "I'm finally here now. "The decision was very quick, because it's a big stage, a big opportunity for me and my career. "That was the decision I had to make for myself, and it was the best I am sure." Daniels scored five goals in 12 games for Cork City, having joined them on a short-term deal after he left Icelandic side Fram. Manager Stuart Kettlewell says "his qualities are clear to see". "Djenairo is one that we've been aware of for a while and his qualities are clear to see," he said. "He's been playing consistently recently and we're confident he will come in and hit the ground running, and that he can add to the quality we already have in the squad."
