Report: AEW's Original Plans For Darby Allin Revealed
What did AEW have planned for Darby Allin in 2025?
Darby Allin is currently on the climb to the top of Mount Everest. But what would All Elite Wrestling look like right now if Allin were on the road with the company instead?

The former multi-time TNT Champion was written off AEW programming at the end of December when he was tossed down a flight of stairs by the Death Riders. Allin hasn't been seen on AEW programming since. We now have some information on what the company's plans were for Allin had he been back on television by now.
According to Fightful's Sean Ross Sapp (via Fightful Select), AEW's initial hopes were that Darby Allin would be back on the road in time for this year's Owen Hart Cup. This would have led to a featured match for Allin at Double or Nothing.
A typical climb of Mount Everest takes anywhere from six to ten weeks. So, a return to AEW by Double or Nothing looks very unlikely.
Previous rumors and reports suggested that AEW wanted Allin to be the one to dehtrone Jon Moxley. With the company's initial hopes for the timeline of his return, it appears these two things could have lined up.

Defending Champ Carlos Alcaraz Advances To French Open Final After Opponent Retires
Spain's Carlos Alcaraz (R) speaks to Italy's Lorenzo Musetti after the latter withdrew due to an ... More injury in their men's singles semi-final match on day 13 of the French Open tennis tournament on Court Philippe-Chatrier at the Roland-Garros Complex in Paris on June 6, 2025. (Photo by JULIEN DE ROSA / AFP) (Photo by JULIEN DE ROSA/AFP via Getty Images) Carlos Alcaraz will get to defend his French Open title. The 22-year-old Spaniard advanced to Sunday's final against either No. 1 Jannik Sinner or No. 6 Novak Djokovic after he won his semifinal over No. 8 Lorenzo Musetti, 4-6, 7-6(3), 6-0, 2-0. Musetti retired early in the fourth set with an injury after being broken five straight times. Alcaraz will be seeking his second straight French Open title and his fifth career major title against either Sinner, who has won 19 straight major matches, or Djokovic, who is seeking a record 25th Slam. The winner on Sunday will take home nearly $2.9 million, and the runner-up nearly $1.5 million. Musetti, who lost to Alcaraz in the Monte Carlo final and the Rome semis, has now lost six straight to the Spaniard. Musetti seized the first set thanks to multiple Alcaraz unforced errors. Musetti also served well. 'He is definitely off his range,' Andre Agassi said on TNT after Alcaraz miss-hit a drop shot into the net while serving at 3-4 in the second. Musetti held serve for 5-4 in the second in a game that lasted 14 points. 'He is on fire with his serve,' Jim Courier said of Musetti. Alcaraz served for the second set at 6-5 in the second but Musetti broke him to force a tiebreak. Alcaraz evened it at one set apiece by winning the second-set tiebreak with a forehand drop shot winner. But after that, Musetti's level fell off and Alcaraz won the next eight games before the Italian retired.
