Everything We Saw At Today's Big PlayStation State Of Play
Today, February 12, 2025, Sony held its first State of Play showcase of 2025. There weren't any massive surprises, but there were a ton of really neat-looking games that just might snag your attention. In particular, there was a good chunk of third-person melee action, typically featuring swords slashing up some monstrosity.
Enough preamble, let's get into everything we saw at today's State of Play!
Sony kicked off their show with a nice little look at Monster Hunter Wilds, in all its open-world, monster-bashing glory. If you haven't been following this game, it's worth checking out the trailer as it showcases a wide variety of beasts and environments. Monster Hunter Wilds ships on February 28, 2025.
With some slick-looking art and 2D platforming hack-n-slash action, Shinobi: Art of Vengeance seesthe folks behind Streets of Rage 4 take a shot at resurrecting Sega's classic ninja series. Let's hope it plays as good as it looks. I mean, some of those landscapes are just too gorgeous. I could die there and be okay with it.
Crossworlds, as the name suggests, seems like it's putting a world-hopping spin on the Sonic Racing series, with mid-race portals you can drive through to take you to other realms. It has a closed beta on February 21, which you can sign up for now.
Oh hell yeah, it's a Digimon game! When was the last time you played one of those? Time to stop playing Palworld!
With an ethereal presentation that promises a sword-swinging hero's journey through some pretty spectacular-looking environments, Lost Soul Aside looks promising for fans of speedy and flashy third-person melee action. Hopefully it will be stylish enough for the more discerning fans of the genre among us. Lost Soul Aside launches on March 30, 2025.
A demo for the new Yakuza title arrives this week!
Here's a mashup you probably didn't expect. Ichiban Kasuga from Like A Dragon brings his cheerful disposition and thrilling heroics to the world of Dave the Diver.
This Portal-meets-Halo-like sequel is rolling out an alpha demo later this month, on February 27.
Hey, if you always wanted to roam around a virtual hub dedicated to everything WWE (akin to the City in NBA 2K25 but for wrestling), check out the video above as Paul Heyman shows off The Island.
Oh, hi Randy. And other Randy. The Randys (Randies?) showed up to give us a quick look at the latest game in the cartoony-yet-always-gory Borderlands universe. I'll have to wait till I get the game in my hands for sure, but from the looks of the trailer at least, the gunplay looks more solid and substantial than ever. The Randys also announced a special State of Play later this year that will go all in on BL4.
Bordelrands 4 launches on September 23, 2025.
Today's SoP showed off even more of the upcoming Split Fiction, the science fiction meets fantasy fusion co-op adventure from the makers of It Takes Two.
I always sit up straight when a domineering masculine voice demands a status report. Maybe that's something I need to work out with my therapist. Either way, Directive 8020 is a flashy-looking science fiction horror romp that gives me some serious Alien vibes. Dead bodies on space stations, the creepiness of 'substances' in space? Heck yeah. Directive 8020 arrives on October 2nd.
Five Nights At Freddy's is getting yet another game, likely filled with even more animatronic creeps just waiting to scare the heck out of you.
With a lush, dark, and creepy aesthetic that's giving some gentle Tim Burton vibes, The Midnight Walk is a fresh-looking first-person shooter with some clear stealth and puzzle elements. It arrives on May 8, 2025. It'll also be playable on PS VR2!
I keep telling people that Octopodes are super smart. And Darwin's Paradox! is all about that. This cute-looking platformer from Konami arrives later this year.
A roguelike Dynasty Warriors just might be the twist to this legendary series you never thought you needed. It's available on PS5 and PS4 today if you're interested in giving it a shot.
These days I continue to suspect that the PS2 era was peak gaming. It's all been downhill since then. Is that true? I don't really know. But what I do know is that an ambitious remaster of Onimusha 2 is arriving on May 23 if you want to get a taste of that PS2 magic.
If Onimusha 2 wasn't enough, today's SoP followed it up with more Onimusha (nuts, right?). This one isn't a remaster, however. Rather, with a stylish modern presentation and some great-looking physics interactions, new series entry Onimusha: Way of the Sword is definitely worth putting on your radar with an expected release window of 2026.
Okay, for those of you who enjoy MGS3, I'm happy for you. The game is fine. This remake doesn't inspire me to put up with it again, but hey, if you want to hear David Hayter play Snake again (who wouldn't?) It'll probably be worth it for that alone.
Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater arrives on August 28, 2025—but you knew that already, didn't you?
Give me Adam Jensen—err, I mean his voice actor, Elias Toufexis—and a moody trailer for a pretty intense-looking sci-fi game and I've almost forgotten what Deus Ex even is. With a release date of September 4, 2025, Hell Is Us looks like it could be a gripping adventure.
If you were fan of 2023's soulslike Lies of P, you'll be happy to check out a trailer for its upcoming expansion, arriving this summer.
Where to begin with this one? Somehow, I imagine this is what Hideo Kojima's dreams look like—glimpses of play with violent interuptions. Kojima isn't involved in this game, but it still looks worth checking out as it seems quite imaginative.
Days Gone might be mid at best for some folks, but I quite enjoyed it and with a permadeath mode and other features, I might be willing to give it a spin again. This remaster launches on April 25.
If you're up for looking pretty and slashing weird monsters, Stellar Blade is getting a PC release and an expansion this June.
Lost Records: Bloom & Rage Tape 1 sees the folks at Don't Nod take on the story of a fateful summer in the lives of a group of young friends, and how they're dealing with its ramifications as adults.
Blue Prince is a puzzle game billing itself as an 'atmospheric architectural adventure' set inside a cryptic house that's hopefully filled with worthwhile secrets for those of us who like to snoop around where we probably don't belong.
Abiotic Factor, already a huge hit on Steam, is a co-op survival game that gives me some Half-Life vibes, with strange creatures and scientific endeavors that hopefully won't doom us all.
The original Armored Core, Armored Core Project Phantasma, Armored Core Master of Arena, and Patapon 3 are coming to PlayStation Plus for subscribers with access to the Classics Catalog.
There sure were a lot of swords at today's event. And while Hell Is Us maybe looks most appealing to me, I'd be lying if I said Tides of Annihilation wasn't a close second.
Blood-pumping music and stylish action complete with wall-running and first-person shooting are at the heart of Metal Eden. It's expected on May 6, 2025.
Mindseye is an action adventure game about 'AI and human greed' destroying society. It's directed by Leslie Benzies, the former president of Rockstar North, so don't be surprised if it gives off some serious Grand Theft Auto vibes.
Saros is the latest game from Housemarque, makers of such elegant games as Returnal and Resogun. It stars Rahul Kohli and while the trailer has no gameplay, it hints pretty strongly at this game building on what the studio achieved in Returnal, which, it seems, is exactly what they're aiming to do. Saros arrives in 2026. They closed the show with this one, so maybe it's worth keeping on your radar? And that wraps up our rundown of Sony's February 12, 2025 event! Nope, there was no Bloodborne or God of War. Sorry!

WWE Money in the Bank 2025: March card and bold predictions
The post WWE Money in the Bank 2025: March card and bold predictions appeared first on ClutchPoints. It's already time for the 2025 WWE Money in the Bank PLE, and it has a stacked four-bout card with two ladder matches — who will earn themselves a world championship match? Advertisement Plus, a year after announcing his retirement tour at the 2024 Money in the Bank event, WWE Champion John Cena will compete at his final iteration of the annual PLE. He will team with Logan Paul to face World Heavyweight Champion Jey Uso and a returning Cody Rhodes. Aside from the two namesake ladder matches, there is a Women's Intercontinental Championship and high-profile tag team bout. Triple H loves a four-match card, and that's what fans are getting with Money in the Bank. 2025 WWE Money in the Bank match card and predicted winners Below is the full match card for the 2025 WWE Money in the Bank PLE. Note: the order of the matches has not been confirmed as of the time of this writing. Predicted winners are bolded. Advertisement Men's Money in the Bank ladder match: Seth Rollins vs. LA Knight vs. Penta vs. Solo Sikoa vs. Andrade vs. El Grande Americano Women's Money in the Bank ladder match: Alexa Bliss vs. Roxanne Perez vs. Rhea. Ripley vs. Giulia vs. Naomi vs. Stephanie Vaquer Tag team match: Cody Rhodes and Jey Uso vs. John Cena and Logan Paul Women's Intercontinental Championship: Lyra Valkyria (c) vs. Becky Lynch Can John Cena and Logan Paul co-exist? © Joe Camporeale-Imagn Images The match: Cody Rhodes and Jey Uso vs. John Cena and Logan Paul Instead of having John Cena defend the WWE Championship in what could be his last match in Los Angeles, WWE has him teaming with Logan Paul against Cody Rhodes and Jey Uso. It feels like a waste of Cena in his last run as an in-ring performer, but alas. Even if Travis Scott or The Rock interfere, I don't foresee the babyface team losing. Rhodes needs a rematch against Cena to get his revenge, and that can start with him pinning the champ. Expect Rhodes and Uso to win, setting the former up for a rematch at SummerSlam in August 2025. Advertisement Cena's 17th world championship has been fumbled. It should have been a moment celebrated by all WWE fans. Instead, it's been a dud in a storyline that was obviously constructed on the fly. Final prediction: Cody Rhodes and Jey Uso defeat John Cena and Logan Paul. Will it be 'Mami in the Bank'? The match: Women's Money in the Bank ladder match: Alexa Bliss vs. Roxanne Perez vs. Rhea. Ripley vs. Giulia vs. Naomi vs. Stephanie Vaquer Given WWE's recent moves, like cutting R-Truth and Carlito from their roster as part of cost-saving efforts, you'd think the marketability of Rhea Ripely winning Money in the Bank would be too great to pass up. Advertisement There certainly is a chance Ripley could win, but it'd cause a stir online. I think Ripley will come really close, but someone, whether it be Iyo Sky or someone else, will interfere and cost her the match. Giving it to a young star like Roxanne Perez or Stephanie Vaquer is another solid option. The briefcase could launch them to the main event as they did with Tiffany Stratton. However, I think Naomi is who WWE will go with. She is having the run of her career at the moment, and why not add fuel to the fire? She could steal the Women's Championship from Stratton with a cash in and head into a match against Jade Cargill and/or Bianca Belair as champ at SummerSlam. Final prediction: Naomi wins the Women's Money in the Bank ladder match. Third time's the charm for LA Knight? Hali Tauxe/IndyStar / USA TODAY NETWORK. The match: Men's Money in the Bank ladder match: Seth Rollins vs. LA Knight vs. Penta vs. Solo Sikoa vs. Andrade vs. El Grande Americano Advertisement For the third year in a row, LA Knight will compete in a Money in the Bank ladder match. Despite not winning either of the last two, he has remained perpetually over. It would be nice if WWE rewarded Knight for his efforts with a win. He's probably not the favorite, as Seth Rollins has a faction behind him that could interfere, but I think Knight will finally pull it off. Either Roman Reigns or CM Punk will cost Rollins the match. Heck, I could see both of them getting involved, as Reigns has unfinished business with both Superstars. While another Rollins run with the briefcase would be interesting, Knight has earned a chance to shine. Rollins will probably beat Uso for the World Heavyweight Championship at some point, but it won't be via the Money in the Bank briefcase. Advertisement As for the rest of the field, Andrade hasn't been important in months, ditto for Solo Sikoa since he lost to Reigns at the WWE Monday Night RAW on Netflix premiere on January 6, 2025. El Grande Americano would be unexpected, but there's no shot WWE pushes Chad Gable like that. Final prediction: LA Knight wins the Men's Money in the Bank ladder match. Becky Lynch, Women's Intercontinental Champion? Joe Camporeale-Imagn Images. The match: Lyra Valkyria (c) vs. Becky Lynch for the Women's Intercontinental Championship At one time, it seemed like a foregone conclusion that Becky Lynch would beat Lyra Valkyria for the Women's Intercontinental Championship. Their Money in the Bank showdown being a 'Last Chance' match — which means Lynch can no longer challenge for it for as long as Valkyria is champion if she loses — takes some intrigue out of it. Advertisement I still think Lynch will inevitably win the belt someday, but not yet. Her winning would help build Valkyria as a babyface in pursuit of regaining her championship. But we're still awaiting the return of Bayley, who Lynch took out to be Valkyria's tag team partner at WrestleMania 41. Unless WWE has no plans for Bayley at any point soon, she will probably attack Lynch, setting up a triple threat match between them at SummerSlam or the next Saudi Arabia show. Final prediction: Lyra Valkyria retains the Women's Intercontinental Championship. WWE Money in the Bank starts at 6:30 pm EST on Saturday, June 7, 2025. WWE news: Ric Flair confirms second cancer diagnosis in 3 years
The post WWE news: Ric Flair confirms second cancer diagnosis in 3 years appeared first on ClutchPoints. It's unfortunate to say, but Ric Flair is gearing up for another real-life fight. The two-time WWE Hall of Famer told PEOPLE magazine he has been diagnosed with skin cancer, making it the second time in three years that he's faced the illness, SI reports. Advertisement Flair confirmed he'll begin treatment next week and thanked his supporters for the outpouring of concern. After initially denying health reports on social media to keep the matter private, he decided now was the time to share the news. 'I appreciate the concerns!' he said, grateful for the messages from fans who have followed his storied career. The wrestling icon has stared down death before. In 2017, Flair suffered multiple organ failures due to alcohol abuse. Doctors gave him just a 20 percent chance of surviving. He was placed in a medically induced coma, had part of his bowel removed, and received a pacemaker. 'I crashed in an airplane and broke my back, I've been hit by lightning,' Flair told PEOPLE back then. 'But this is totally different. Anything I've been through before is nothing like this.' Resilience in and out of the ring Flair's journey has been marked by both triumph and trauma. His struggles with health and addiction were at the center of the 2022 Peacock documentary Woooooo! Becoming Ric Flair. Former partner Wendy Barlow discussed how deeply the physical and emotional toll affected him behind the scenes. Advertisement Even after everything, Flair returned to the ring for one last match in 2022. He teamed with son-in-law Andrade to defeat AEW stars Jeff Jarrett and Jay Lethal in a match that felt more like a tribute to his legacy than a battle for bragging rights. He most recently appeared on AEW's Collision on May 17, participating in a tribute to former NFL player and fellow wrestler Steve 'Mongo' McMichael. For decades, Ric Flair has been known for his style, bravado, and unforgettable performances. Now, once again, he's showing the same strength that made him a legend.
