Outlander star Hermione Corfield's life from knowing co-star before prequel to Tom Cruise film

She is stepping into the role of Claire Fraser's mum Julia Morison in the Outlander prequel Blood of My Blood
Outlander Blood of My Blood has made its debut with actress Hermione Corfield among its four main stars.

MGM+'s Blood of My Blood will take a step back in time once again, this time focussing on the whirlwind romances between Jamie (played by Sam Heughan) and Claire's (Caitriona Balfe) parents.

Living in the First World War, Henry Beauchamp (Jeremy Irvine) falls madly in love with Julia Moriston (Hermione Corfield) but when she touches those magical Scottish stones, she finds herself in the 18th Century.

So how will the pair find each other again as they are separated by time, much like their daughter Claire would grow up to be? As the iconic romantic drama debuts, here's all there is to know about actress Hermione Corfield.
Tom Cruise link
Born in December 1993 in London, Corfield's love of the arts started as a young age as she studied English Literature at University College London before taking a method acting course at the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute in New York.
She also briefly worked as a model, appearing on the cover of Tatler UK in 2013.

But it didn't take too long before she delved into the world of acting and featured in 50 Kisses and Mr Holmes, before landing a role in Tom Cruise's Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation.
She portrayed a shop girl who turned out to be a secret agent that was soon killed by the villain, portrayed by actor Sean Harris.

Speaking about working opposite Cruise as Ethan Hunt, she described it as 'the most amazing experience, it was a complete dream to work with him and such a huge opportunity for a young actress starting out.'
Pride and Prejudice and Zombies
The following year, the 31-year-old was cast in the horror action film Pride and Prejudice and Zombies which sees the English countryside from the classic Jane Austen novel, plagued by zombies.
Corfield was cast as Cassandra Featherstone and while the film stars some big names including Lily James and Matt Smith, as a former literary student, she wasn't initially too sure about taking part.

She told Tumblr: 'When I first saw the title I was amused but I also thought they were slaughtering an iconic book.
'But it's actually a stroke of genius combining zombies and period drama – it's hilarious!'
Outlander
Corfield has been cast as one of the four leading stars in the Outlander prequel, Blood of My Blood.

Her character Julia Moriston's big love story is with First World War soldier Henry Beauchamp who is being played by War Horse and Mamma Mia! actor Jeremy Irvine.
It's key for the stars to have chemistry on set but this was easier than expected given that Corfield and Irvine already knew each other before shooting.

She told Cinema Daily US: 'I was familiar with Outlander and I was familiar with the project.
'When I got the call saying that they wanted to screen test me, I then realised that Jeremy Irvine was playing Henry, which was a really lovely surprise because he and I have known each other for 10 years, so I was quite lucky in that aspect.
'Whenever you walk into those chemistry reads, it can be a bit of a challenge, while with him there was an immediate level of comfort, which was a huge advantage.'

What's next
Apart from Blood of My Blood, Corfield has an exciting thriller in the pipeline, according to her IMDb profile.
Currently in post-production, she is going to feature in Family Secrets with Grey's Anatomy star Eric Dane and The Fosters' Maia Mitchell.
The synopsis reads: 'A young man infiltrates a wedding to seek revenge on the bride's grandfather by befriending the groom and seducing the bride.'

Love Island's Blu Chegini says he's 'not a women hater' as he teases All Stars return

Blu Chegini has responded to backlash following his time on the latest series of Love Island as it hasn't stopped him from wanting to return for the All Stars series Love Island star Blu Chegini has insisted he is not a "woman hater" as he hits back at claims from his time in the villa. During his time on the ITV2 dating show, he ruffled feathers with his behaviour. ‌ He turned up as an original star on the latest series and was initially coupled up with Alima. The pair quickly established they were in a friendship couple, and Blu made a beeline for Shakira, even sharing a kiss in the hideaway. ‌ However, days into the series, he was dumped in dramatic scenes when he had to go head-to-head with Shea. It comes after one huge TV star looks completely unrecognisable as she reveals latest facelift ‌ READ MORE: Lucy Mecklenburgh says she sleeps in separate bed to Ryan as she fumes over pregnancy READ MORE: Andy Carroll 'splits from Lou Teasdale due to her demands' weeks after public row Blu's Love Island journey wasn't over, though, as he strolled back into the villa last month. He attracted backlash during his time on the show due to how he acted towards Alima. Having said he wasn't interested in her because she was not his "type," Blu was labelled dismissive and even racist by some viewers. He later addressed the claims, stating he didn't have a type and his comment was misinterpreted. Now, Blu has hit back again as he said: 'I am not a women hater I was paired up with Alima I didn't see a connection with her I'm now being called a racist because she is a a black girl. He added: "I got back lash for saying Alima wasn't my type, I wasn't her type either. She didn't get backlash." Blu continued: " Maya Jama was cold towards me because I was opinionated or maybe the whole Alima controversy has turned her off me. "I am now working on communication, personal development. I was angry in the show, I struggle with English as I was schooled in Spain." Blu went on to insist: "I love women, I have respect for women. I couldn't play the villain card, it's not in my nature. ‌ "If I could have chosen other girls in the first four days it would have been Meg, Megan or Shakira." Speaking of the other girls to Simon Gross on Instagram live, he explained: "I don't have a connection with Helena. "Gabby is my type. We might go on a date." Blu explained that he wouldn't say no to appearing on Love Island All Stars as previous contestants head to the South African villa for a second chance at finding love. "I would do All Stars if I was still single but it be my third or fourth time. I can't do what Casey [O'Gorman] did. We will see." Blu said of the Islanders' decision at the time of his dumping: "We asked them for their point of view as we were both really stubborn in that situation. We weren't going to budge, so we had to get them to make the decision. "I felt like I had a stronger bond with everyone in there, obviously, I'd been there a bit longer. I was constantly trying to make a connection and exploring everyone. I was making moves as quickly as I could, as opposed to Shea, who was a bit more laid back. "Everyone had their own thoughts. But listen, someone's got to go at the end of the day. The way it went was better than I thought it would have gone; I had some nice things said about me, and that meant a lot to me."

Beyonce and Jay-Z's huge plans as they buy mega home in Cotswolds

EXCLUSIVE: Beyoncé and Jay-Z sparked rumours of a move to the UK when they were spotted visiting the Oxfordshire hotspot in June - but we now understand it's official Superstar singer Beyoncé and rapper husband, rapper Jay-Z, are in the process of buying a plot of farmland in the Cotswolds. The US pair sparked rumours of a move to Britain when they were spotted visiting Oxfordshire in June. The Mirror understands Beyoncé, 43, and Jay-Z, 55, are now in the process of sealing the deal for 58 acres with planning permission to build a lavish country retreat. ‌ Last night, a source close to the sale said: 'They were in negotiation on the price, and it isn't on the market any more, which would suggest it's a done deal.' ‌ Architectural drawings obtained exclusively by the Mirror describe the opportunity as a 'spectacular rural estate' offering 'seamless indoor-outdoor living, combining timeless materials with contemporary architecture.' It comes after David Beckham speaks 'as a father' in 'family' announcement after latest Brooklyn snub. ‌ The document continues: 'Meticulously designed to integrate with the natural landscape, the property offers a striking architectural statement, blending contemporary style with sustainable building practices.' The land, with permission for a lake and woodland, was sold off-market with a guide price of £8.5 million, but it is unclear how much the A-list couple paid. It sits just five minutes from the chocolate box village of Great Tew, close to where a host of celebrities, including the Beckhams, Simon Cowell and former US talk show host Ellen DeGeneres, call home. Exclusive private members club Soho Farmhouse, which hosted Meghan Markle 's hen do, is a stone's throw away. And posh farm shop Daylesford Organic, visited by US vice president JD Vance earlier this week, is also on the doorstep. Beyoncé and Jay-Z reportedly visited the land by helicopter earlier this summer during the English leg of her Cowboy Carter World Tour. An insider said at the time: 'In the past week, [the couple] flew between her London gigs to view a 58-acre plot of land. ‌ "Located close to friends Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi, and with Simon Cowell and the Beckhams as neighbours, she felt it would be an ideal UK home for her family, away from the city when they're in the country.' It previously emerged that the couple were keen to put down roots here after Los Angeles was devastated by wildfires earlier this year. A close friend said: 'The wildfires have given them a good reason to look outside of Los Angeles to build new bases. They will always be based in LA, but the UK is on the agenda. Beyonce loves the UK because they support everything she does.' ‌ Beyoncé and Jay-Z, who share twins Rumi and Sir, eight, and older daughter Blue Ivy, 13, aren't the first big US names to relocate to the sleepy Oxfordshire countryside. Ellen DeGeneres, 67, and wife Portia de Rossi, 52, made the move across the Atlantic to the area last year in a bid to escape Donald Trump 's America. The couple's first home was hit by flooding but they've since relocated to a £38 million hilltop pad set in sprawling grounds. It is around a 30-minute drive from their original home, and planning documents show it has a 'sustainable drainage system' and is not 'at risk of flooding.' ‌ Brad Pitt reportedly owns a home nearby, while Tom Cruise and singer Ariana Grande are frequent visitors. Last August, Taylor Swift and her partner Travis Kelce rented a £33.3 million bolthole in the village of Great Tew during the UK leg of her Eras tour. And the late tech giant Steve Jobs' daughter Eve, 27, wed Olympic show jumper Harry Charles, 26, in the local church last month. Guests at the ceremony included Former US Vice President Kamala Harris, Bill Gates's daughter Jennifer and Bruce Springsteen's daughter, Jessica. ‌ US Vice President JD Vance is currently holidaying with his family at Dean Manor, a Grade II-listed country home in the tiny Cotswolds hamlet of Dean. He also stayed with the Foreign Secretary David Lammy in Kent and will later travel to Scotland. Beyoncé and Jay-Z are no strangers to the property market. In 2017, they moved into a 12,000 sq ft residence in Malibu, complete with a cinema, gym, wine cellar and ocean views. And they splashed out £66 million later that year for a 30,000 sq ft mansion in Bel Air, California, with eight bedrooms, 11 bathrooms, four swimming pools and a 15-car garage. News of the couple's UK move comes hours after Beyoncé won her first Emmy award for Beyoncé Bowl - her Christmas Day halftime NFL show streamed by Netflix. When approached by the Mirror, the previous landowner declined to comment. Beyonce's publicist was approached for comment.

Now, Pride and Prejudice fans have a shot at snapping up a unique piece of TV history as the picturesque manor house hits the market. The grade II-listed country house, immortalised to millions as the home of protagonist Elizabeth Bennet and her family, is up for sale for £3.95million. The BBC's 1995 adaptation featured Jennifer Ehle as Elizabeth Bennet and Colin Firth as the dashing Mr Darcy. It is widely lauded as the best adaptation of the Jane Austen classic ever made. Those wanting to live their very own Jane Austen-inspired life can strut through the Queen Anne front pillared portico or wistfully meander through the mature gardens like the on-screen family. The historic country house, featuring a wood carved doorway reputedly by Grinling Gibbons as well as eight bedrooms. It also boasts seven bathrooms and six reception rooms, providing ample room for family life and entertainment. The second floor is a flat and games room, says Knight Frank, who are handling the sale. And there's plenty of outside space too, with extensive lawns approaching the house dominated by a 400-year-old Lebanese Cedar, which has one of the biggest ever recorded in the UK. 14 The Bennet family walking into the front of Luckington Court Credit: PIC FOR REFERENCE ONLY - NOT FOR 14 Pride and Prejudice 1995 is considered the best adaptation of the novel Credit: Alamy 14 Jenifer Ehle, playing Elizabeth Bennet walking into Luckington Court gardens Credit: PIC FOR REFERENCE ONLY - NOT FOR 14 The small country estate boasts luscious views Credit: Kennedy Newsand Media 14 It is described as a 'quintessentially English' property Credit: Kennedy Newsand Media The new owners will also enjoy a tennis court, stable block, a dovecote, an outdoor riding school. The property also boasts home farm buildings, 1.27 acres of woodland and four well-presented cottages. James Walker, Regional Head of Central in Knight Frank's Country Department, said: "It is a privilege to be involved with the sale of Luckington Court, which is the epitome of a classic, small country estate. "The next custodian will appreciate the subtle grandeur and the sense of pride it evokes. "Quintessentially English and wonderfully understated." Prior to the 1995 TV series coming out, another version of Pride And Prejudice was written for the BBC in 1980 by the late Fay Weldon. But the 1995 version is arguably better known as it helped make Colin Firth a household name. And its famous lake scene inspired similar sequences in Bridget Jones' Diary and Bridgerton. Luckington Court at Luckington near Chippenham in Wiltshire had last been taken off the market in 2023, listed with estate agent Wooley & Wallis with an asking price of £6 million. In 2018, it was put up for sale for the first time in 70 years, through Strutt & Parker, with a higher guide price of £9 million. 14 The Bennet sisters walking in the garden of Longbourn which is Luckington Court in real life 14 The picturesque property is nestled in a peaceful area Credit: Kennedy Newsand Media 14 Luckington Court in Luckington, Wiltshire, famously portrayed Longbourn Credit: Kennedy Newsand Media
