Draymond Green Makes Kevin Durant Admission About Lakers-Luka Doncic Trade
Draymond Green Makes Kevin Durant Admission About Lakers-Luka Doncic Trade originally appeared on Athlon Sports. The blockbuster trade that sent Luka Doncic to the Lakers and brought Anthony Davis to the Mavericks is still echoing through NBA circles, even as we move into the middle of June. Advertisement Though the deal was finalized back in February, the shockwaves intensified when Dallas landed the top pick in the 2025 NBA Draft. The complete picture of the trade's impact is still unfolding, but conversations around the league haven't stopped. Draymond Green recently appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live! and shared his first reaction to the trade, giving fans an inside look at the chaotic moment it all went down. ClutchPoints shared the clip, captioned: "Draymond Green thought the Warriors traded for Kevin Durant when it was actually Luka going to the Lakers." Kimmel kicked off the exchange by asking: 'When the Mavs traded Luka to the Lakers, what went through your head?' Advertisement Green's response didn't disappoint: 'I couldn't believe it. I thought Shams was hacked. When it first happened, we were at the Warriors' charity poker tournament. I had just seen Joe Lacob 10 minutes earlier. Joe goes, 'Draymond, I think we're gonna get Kevin Durant. It's happening, we're gonna get Kevin Durant.' He walks off, then runs back two minutes later like, 'Draymond, Draymond, I wasn't supposed to say anything. Don't tell anybody.' I said, 'I got you, Joe. I won't say anything.' Green continued: 'We're still at the tournament, and Steph goes, 'Draymond, you see the trade?' I go, 'It happened!' Steph asks, 'Wait, who?' And I said, 'Oh, never mind.'' Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green (23)Credit: Jesse Johnson-Imagn Images While the Warriors didn't land Durant in a reunion, they did pull off a major move by acquiring Jimmy Butler from the Miami Heat. The deal helped Golden State make it to the second round of the playoffs before falling in five games to the Timberwolves. Advertisement Draymond Green played in 68 regular-season games, averaging 9 points and 6.1 rebounds. He has been with the Warriors since entering the league in 2012. Even months after the trade, the Doncic-Davis blockbuster is still the talk of the league, especially with the draft and free agency on the horizon. Greenville celebration of Filipino-American culture later this month
On June 21, Greenville High School will be the scene of a celebration of Filipino-American culture in honor of Philippine Independence Day. Hosted by Genuine Faith Community Church in Greenville, this year's festival will mark the fifth event of its kind. 'In addition to music, select vendors, food and drinks, the event will have performances of traditional dances and songs, and children and adults will be modeling traditional, old-style Filipino garb,' Genuine Faith's Greenville president Ginalyn Davis said. The now-annual Philippine Independence Day event grew out of Genuine Faith Community Church's congregation, which is a small, closely-knit church that is largely comprised of local Filipino-Americans and their spouses. 'More than anything, we of course aim to share the message of Jesus Christ but the church also reaches out to the area Filipino community because many who are new here are nervous to go out because they don't know where to go so they end up staying at home all the time,' Davis said. 'This event is another way for us to reach out to the Filipino community of the wider area.' Despite being a Philippine Independence Day celebration, Davis emphasizes that the event and the church are open to people of all cultures. Next Saturday's Philippine Independence Day event will be from noon to 5 p.m. at Greenville High School at 3515 Lions Lair Road.

A police report from June 7 shared with USA TODAY said shortly before 1 a.m., a nanny for three kids was sprayed with bear mace before leading two suspects to a master bedroom where they rummaged through drawers, cabinets, and "raided" a closet full of clothing, jewelry and shoes. The mostly redacted police report features the unredacted last name Davis, the legal name of Macklemore's wife, Tricia Davis, and refers to a homeowner as a "high-profile individual." Macklemore and Davis share three children: Sloane, Colette and Hugo. Macklemore clarifies remark made at pro-Palestine concert in Seattle: 'Sometimes I slip up' The report does not state if Macklemore, whose legal name is Benjamin Haggerty, was home at the time. The police report also said the nanny "believed the crime may have been politically motivated for some reason." In recent months, Macklemore has made headlines for pro-Palestine posts and was removed from a Las Vegas festival performance lineup for the inaugural Neon City Festival in Las Vegas after he referred to America with an expletive during the 'Palestine Will Live Forever' event in his hometown of Seattle.
