Aaron Rodgers adds fuel to Steelers rumors with low-key Pittsburgh lifestyle moveFor nearly two months, the
Pittsburgh Steelers
and their fans have been left in suspense, waiting for a decision from future Hall of Fame quarterback Aaron Rodgers. While no official word has come from the veteran signal-caller, the writing seems to be on the wall — and it's increasingly written in black and gold.
Rodgers, a four-time MVP and one of the most decorated quarterbacks of his era, has not given a clear timeline about his plans for the 2025 season.

Steelers fans convinced Aaron Rodgers is coming after latest Pittsburgh golf club move
Though Rodgers has remained tight-lipped, his recent actions haven't gone unnoticed in the Steel City. Appearing on The Pat McAfee Show, the former Jets quarterback spoke glowingly about his visit with the Steelers' organization. That moment alone sparked a surge of optimism within the fanbase, but the tea leaves didn't stop there.

Local radio host Andrew Fillipponi recently reported that Rodgers has 'joined Nevillewood Country Club' — one of the most prestigious golf venues in the Pittsburgh area. For a player known almost as much for his love of golf as his arm strength, that's not a detail to overlook. Rodgers has participated in multiple national-level golf events, including The Match with Tom Brady and even won the AM portion of the 2023 AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am alongside PGA pro Ben Silverman.
Pair that with reports of him ordering a Pittsburgh Pirates 'Misplaced Series' hat during the start of free agency, and suddenly these "coincidences" feel more intentional. It's becoming harder to imagine all this as random activity from a player with no intention of moving to Pittsburgh.
From a football standpoint, Rodgers instantly solves Pittsburgh's most glaring problem — quarterback inconsistency. Mason Rudolph has never lived up to expectations, displaying erratic performances throughout his time in the league. Will Howard, though intriguing, was a sixth-round pick who needs time and mentorship, and Skylar Thompson is currently viewed as little more than a practice squad option.
In this context, Rodgers wouldn't just be a welcome addition — he'd be a lifeline. Despite coming off a serious Achilles injury in 2024, Rodgers began to regain form late in the season. If he returns to even 80% of his former self, Pittsburgh could go from middle-of-the-pack to legitimate contenders in the AFC.
'Rodgers would give the Steelers a chance to compete in the AFC as long as he can play the way he did near the end of the 2024 season.'
His arrival would also create a rare opportunity for a seamless quarterback transition. While Rodgers might only play another season or two, his mentorship could be pivotal for Howard's development — a luxury the Steelers have rarely had at the position since the days of Ben Roethlisberger.
The Steelers are still without a concrete answer, and the frustration among fans is understandable. Yet optimism lingers. Art Rooney II, team president, recently expressed confidence about Rodgers' potential arrival — the most public sign yet that a deal may already be brewing behind closed doors.
June 10 marks the start of mandatory minicamp, and May 27 will see OTAs kick off. If Rodgers plans to play, it would be wise for him to be inside the facility before these dates to absorb the playbook and start forming chemistry with his potential teammates.
Rodgers is known for dragging out offseason decisions, often avoiding organized team activities altogether. Still, his recent actions — from joining a golf club in Pittsburgh to spending time with players like DK Metcalf in throwing sessions — indicate that something more permanent is being planned.
While Rodgers' final decision remains unknown, all signs are pointing toward the Steel City. If he does choose Pittsburgh, it won't just be a new chapter for Rodgers — it'll be a transformative shift for a franchise that has long been seeking a spark behind center.
And if you're a Steelers fan tired of waiting, maybe it's time to hit the fairway at Nevillewood — you might just run into your next quarterback.

Mallika Andrews went on to ask 'This team has been really measured, particularly towards the beginning of the year. I remember asking questions about the goals of this team, and you all sort of shied away from this idea of our goal being to win a championship, and then that flipped for you. Were you always saying it out loud, and it was sort of like, I don't want to jinx our birthday wish by saying it to the world, or how did that work?' 'I've always thought and believed that to achieve things, you have to, like, say them out loud; you have to embrace them; you can't run from them; you can't hide from them, no matter how big the dreams are. I've achieved a lot of them, and I like to think that that has a big part to do with it, like I embrace them, and I go after them, and I'm not scared of them. The first game of the finals will be held on June 6, 2025, and will be hosted by Oklahoma City. Also Read:

Trump 2025 travel ban: Uncle Sam's new no-fly list just got bigger; this is what has been banned and barred

Image credits: Getty Images Donald Trump , the President of the United States of America on Wednesday signed a proclamation banning citizens of 12 countries across the globe from entering the United States. The move, which is a part of the POTUS' immigration crackdown launched earlier this year, is portrayed as a needed action to protect the country against "foreign terrorists" and other security threats. "We will not allow people to enter our country who wish to do us harm," Trump said in a video posted on X. He also added that the list could be revised and new countries could be added. Who has been banned from the United States and who has been barred? Find out below! These are: Burundi Cuba Laos Sierra Leone Togo Turkmenistan Venezuela Welcomed to the United States of America Image credits: Getty Images According to The Guardian, Trump's new travel ban contains a unique exemption. Players, staff or associated families with clubs participating in the 2025 Club World Cup, the 2026 Fifa World Cup or the 2028 Olympics could be exempted from the US travel ban. Section 4 of the order, outlines the exemption stating, "any athlete or member of an athletic team, including coaches, persons performing a necessary support role and immediate relatives, travelling for the World Cup, Olympics, or other major sporting event as determined by the secretary of the state" are not subject to the ban. The travel ban by the President is a reinstatement as earlier the Biden administration had repealed the ban on nationals from Iran, Libya, Somalia, Syria and Yemen in 2021 calling it "a stain on our national conscience." Many countries such as Somalia and Venezuela have already responded to the travel ban. While the former pledged to work with the U.S. to address the security issues, the latter announced that living in the United States is a "big risk" and advised its citizens against being in the U.S.

Did Donald Trump influence Rob Manfred's decision on Pete Rose's Hall of Fame chances

A long-standing decision has been rethought after years. What led to it? Who was behind the pressure? One surprising name was mentioned, and it's not a baseball player. Donald Trump 's opinion influenced a major MLB decision On Wednesday, during an MLB owners meeting, commissioner Rob Manfred shared surprising details in a press conference. He said that former U.S. President Donald Trump was one of the people who supported lifting Pete Rose's lifetime ban from baseball. Manfred said, 'He was one of a number of voices that were supportive of the idea that this was the right decision.' The decision, made official on May 13, 2025, now allows Pete Rose to be considered for the Baseball Hall of Fame in December 2027. Trump's support wasn't the only voice Manfred heard. He added, 'Obviously, I have respect for the office, and the advice that he gave, I paid attention to. But I had a lot of other people that were weighing in on the topic, as well.' Did Donald Trump influence Rob Manfred's decision on Pete Rose's Hall of Fame chances (Via Getty) Rose was permanently banned in August 1989. At that time, he and then-commissioner A. Bartlett Giamatti agreed to the punishment. Rose was found to have gambled on games, including ones involving his own team, the Cincinnati Reds, while playing and managing from 1985 to 1987. In 1991, the Hall of Fame made it clear that those on the permanently banned list would not be considered for entry. But this new ruling has changed that policy after more than 30 years. He said that robot umpires might be used in MLB starting in 2026. This technology would help teams challenge ball and strike calls. Tested in 288 games during spring training 2025, this mechanism lets teams succeed 52.2% of their challenges. Rob Manfred also said that MLB is in contact with Olympic authorities about permitting major league players to compete in the 2028 Summer Games in Los Angeles. He said talks on a possible salary cap would begin following the 2025 season. Discussions with the players' union are expected to begin in early 2026. There are also plans to finalize a new Sunday night broadcast deal before the All-Star break this year. The league is talking to three networks and streaming services. Manfred confirmed that attendance is up by 1.4% compared to last year. He also shared that the Las Vegas ballpark for the Athletics is expected to be ready by Opening Day 2028.
