CM Patel presented the robust implementation plan for the Viksit Gujarat@2047 roadmap, formulated under the leadership of PM Modi.
The CM stated, 'Gujarat is among the leading states that have prepared a roadmap for Viksit Bharat @2047. As part of this roadmap, Gujarat has envisioned ensuring both — Earning Well and Living Well — for all its citizens.'
He added, 'To institutionalise this vision, Gujarat has established the Gujarat State Institution for Transformation (GRIT), modelled on the lines of NITI Aayog… GRIT will play a pivotal role in achieving inclusive and development-oriented goals.'
CM Patel also outlined the strategy of adopting a two-dimensional framework to implement the vision of Viksit Gujarat@2047. In this context, the CM said that Gujarat has adopted a Regional Economic Master Plan approach and shared details about the implementation of the Surat Economic Region Development Master Plan under the guidance of NITI Aayog.
He said that five similar Regional Economic Master Plans are being prepared for as many regions across Gujarat.
Patel also mentioned the provision for the Viksit Gujarat Fund made in the state's budget for the current year and underlined that the focus is not only on planning, but also on establishing a robust monitoring mechanism.
'For this purpose, a digital dashboard is being developed, along with the identification of more than 500 Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to ensure sustainability and data-driven decision-making,' the release stated, quoting the CM.
The CM shared details about Gujarat's sector-specific policies, including the Global Capability Centre Policy, Space Tech Policy, and Semiconductor Policy, along with the state's vision in AI. He mentioned that an AI Centre of Excellence has been made operational in GIFT City.
In the renewable energy sector, the CM highlighted that under Pradhan Mantri Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana, Gujarat has completed 3.36 lakh solar rooftop installations, accounting for 34% of the total installations under this scheme in the country.
He added that Gujarat has developed a transparent and accountable model of good governance, which reflects the approach of 'Whole of Government – Whole of Society'.

World saw India's strength during Operation Sindoor: PM to ministers & top babus

NEW DELHI: 'The world saw India's strength (duniya ne humari takat dekhhi),' PM Narendra Modi said as he addressed the Union Council of Ministers on Wednesday about Operation Sindoor 's success. 'The PM said it took us only 25 minutes to demolish the terror infrastructure Pakistan built over decades as part of its policy to use terrorism to hurt India,' a source said referring to the precision strikes on the intervening night of May 6 and 7 to destroy the headquarters and important facilities of Lashkar-e-Taiba, Jaish-e-Mohammad and Hizbul Mujahideen. Modi said the conflict with Pakistan also showed the changed nature of war. 'There was no movement of tanks, artillery and soldiers, and our armed forces acquitted themselves well in this new kind of warfare,' the source quoted the PM as saying. The conflict figured only briefly during the interaction that lasted almost four hours and saw the PM urging ministers and top bureaucrats to stop comparing the works done in the past 11 years with that of the UPA. 'He pitched for bigger aims and the need to fulfil them, said every product and infrastructure project must meet global standards and that we should set our new goals and achieve saturation,' an official said. Officials said the PM also asked ministers to visit aspirational blocks and spend at least 24 hours. During the discussion on the roadmap for 'Viksit Bharat', Modi said some ministries will soon shift to the new Common Central Secretariat (CCS) buildings along the Kartavya Path. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Costco Shoppers Say This Wrinkle Cream Is "Actually Worth It" The Skincare Magazine Undo 'He said in the initial phases there may not be enough space for ministers and officers and they need to keep their ego aside. Once all the buildings are complete, there will be enough space for all,' said a source. The message came amid the plan to shift the first set of offices from North Block to the new buildings and amid the govt's challenge to find enough space as demanded by ministries and departments. Sources said during the meeting, health secretary Punya Salila Srivasatava made a detailed presentation on obesity, with focus on reducing intake of edible oil by 10%, a call given by PM earlier. In the presentation, she shared the estimated number of obese people in India by 2035 and how the problem is more in urban areas and among children going to private schools, sources said.

'Age Of Modern Air Warfare': PM Modi To Council Of Ministers In First Meeting After Op Sindoor

Last Updated: Apart from India's successful offensive, one of the key takeaways during the meeting was good governance and the goal of becoming a developed country by 2047 In the first meeting of the Council of Ministers after Operation Sindoor, Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke on modern warfare and the success of India's strikes against Pakistan. Apart from India's successful offensive, one of the key takeaways during the three-and-half-hour meeting was governance and the goal of becoming a developed country by 2047 in alignment with the 'Viksit Bharat' vision. 'This is a significant response by our armed forces and a successful one. We should all take pride in their bravery," Modi told his colleagues, as per sources. Chaired a meeting of the Council of Ministers earlier this evening. — Narendra Modi (@narendramodi) June 4, 2025 Modi said modern warfare was different from traditional methods, where troop management took days. 'In the past, people in Punjab had to wait for days to see troop mobilisation and war-related activities, including setting up camps. Modern warfare is air warfare, and the results were seen in 22 minutes," he said. He said it had been almost a month since the strikes on terror targets in Pakistan and Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir (PoK), and India had achieved the desired results. The Prime Minister spoke about India's growth and future goals, stressing that India's aim was to become a developed country by 2047. He said each department must set smaller, achievable goals leading to this bigger objective. 'Our goal is big. We have a lot to achieve, but time is short. We must push the envelope and get going," he said. 'The world is looking at India to become a major trade hub, but the focus must be on quality. Whatever we produce, there should be no compromise on quality, regardless of the quantity." He highlighted India's achievement in becoming a significant market for indigenous defense equipment under the current regime. The work done by the government in the last 11 years, including the NDA leadership over the past year, is exemplary, he said. The PM said the Central Vista is ready and, therefore, the ministries of North Block and South Block need to prepare for relocation. He advised his colleagues to address grievances with special care and maximise their efforts as a service to the nation. He added that ministers should visit 'aspirational" districts and spend time there to understand the situation better. There were four key presentations at the meeting, including on 'aspirational blocks' by NITI Aayog, Jal Jeevan Mission by water resources ministry, government works in the last 11 years by the cabinet secretary, and on obesity by the health ministry.
