Aaron Rodgers' bizarre NFL journey mocked as more confusing than AI by Steelers part-owner Thomas Tull
The Pittsburgh Steelers are sitting in anticipation, as the possibility of landing veteran quarterback Aaron Rodgers remains the biggest question mark in their offseason plans. With each passing day, signals from within the organization suggest that the team is confident Rodgers will eventually call Pittsburgh home — but the clock keeps ticking, and the ink has yet to meet the paper.Back in March, principal owner Art Rooney II made headlines when he confidently stated, 'he does want to come here' — a sentiment that seemed to all but confirm Aaron Rodgers' arrival. Yet, weeks later, Steelers fans are still left wondering if this much-discussed union will finally materialize. Adding to the intrigue, Thomas Tull, one of the team's minority owners, offered his own take during an appearance on CNBC. When asked about the situation, Tull quipped, 'I'm here to talk about AI, and that's a more complex issue than artificial intelligence.'The remark drew laughter, but also underlined a serious truth. Rodgers' future is as complicated and unpredictable as the quarterback himself — a player known for his introspection, cryptic messaging, and methodical decision-making. As Tull's comment subtly implied, even seasoned executives within the Steelers' hierarchy find themselves perplexed by the enigmatic signal-caller.Rodgers, for his part, hasn't ruled out Pittsburgh. During an appearance on The Pat McAfee Show, he acknowledged ongoing conversations with the Steelers and expressed admiration for head coach Mike Tomlin . 'I've been upfront with them,' Rodgers said. 'I've said, listen, if you need to move on, by all means. ... I am trying to be open to everything and not specifically attached to anything ... I'm not holding anybody hostage.'The statement reflects both transparency and indecision. It's clear that Rodgers appreciates the franchise's legacy and leadership, but his own personal challenges have kept him from making a definitive move. Given his thoughtful nature, it wouldn't be surprising if he waits until the NFL's full 2025 schedule is released — expected next Wednesday — before making any commitments. As sources suggest, Rodgers may be watching to see how the Steelers fare in terms of prime-time games and competitive positioning, especially compared to a scenario where Mason Rudolph remains the starter.Despite the uncertainty, the Steelers' behavior paints a picture of optimism. Rooney's repeated hints and the team's patience in negotiations all point to one thing: they believe Rodgers is coming. And they're willing to wait — even if it's uncomfortable — for the payoff. In the grand chess game of NFL quarterback movement, Aaron Rodgers remains one of the few true kings left on the board. Whether Pittsburgh becomes his final destination or just another conversation in a long offseason saga, one thing is certain: until his signature is on a contract, the story is far from over. Also Read: NFL sparks political firestorm by having President Trump announce 2027 Draft from the White House

After boat video controversy, Cardi B supports Stefon Diggs at ‘Diggs Day' football camp in Maryland

But Stefon Diggs, one of the league's most talented wide receivers, is making waves for a very different reason—his growing connection with Grammy-winning rapper Cardi B . The two have been spotted together more frequently in recent weeks, fueling speculation that their relationship is more than just friendly. And now, a recent appearance by Cardi at Diggs' youth football camp has all but confirmed it. Cardi B shows up for 'Diggs Day' and fans take notice Stefon Diggs hosted his annual youth football camp, 'Diggs Day,' in Maryland, a tradition that brings young athletes together for skill-building and mentorship. But this year's event came with an unexpected celebrity guest: Cardi B. The rapper was photographed at the event by none other than University of Maryland head football coach Michael Locksley, who posted the image to X (formerly Twitter) with the caption: 'Welcome to #Terpsville @iamcardib. ' The photo made waves almost instantly. Cardi B's appearance wasn't just a casual drop-in, it marked the latest public moment between her and Diggs, following a string of social media videos that have shown the pair together, including one that stirred buzz for its playful, flirty nature. While the NFL has seen plenty of celebrity-athlete pairings, this one has captured attention for its timing. Diggs is entering a pivotal point in his career. After a trade to the Houston Texans last season, he's now part of the New England Patriots' offense. But after only playing eight games in 2023 due to injury, questions remain about his readiness to bounce back. There's no denying that Diggs has had an eventful offseason. Between the boat party photos that circulated earlier this year and now the Cardi B appearances, he's remained a talking point despite not suiting up since late 2023. For some fans, it's a sign he's enjoying his life outside football. For others, it raises concerns about whether his focus is fully on the game, especially with training camp just around the corner. Showing up for a youth camp is a positive gesture, and having Cardi B there only brought more visibility to an event aimed at empowering kids. But in the ultra-competitive world of pro football, perception matters. After losing the IPL 2025 final to RCB, partner of Preity Zinta makes a special request to BCCI for.....

The 18th edition of the IPL concluded recently, in which Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) created history by winning the title for the first time. Viewership records were broken this season and the brand value of the league also reached new heights. The brand value of the IPL is increasing with every season and at present it has become the second most valuable league in the world after America's NFL. However, the gap between NFL and IPL is still quite big. Punjab Kings co-owner Mohit Burman has suggested that the IPL window be extended from 3 to 4 months (12-16 weeks). He said that other big leagues like the NFL (4.5 months), Premier League (9 months) and NBA (7 months) run for a longer period, giving them an advantage in brand building and fan engagement. In a conversation with PTI, Mohit Burman said, 'We are second after NFL in value per match, but we are still behind in total brand value. If we want to get there, we need a window of 12-16 weeks.' Burman further said, 'Longer window will give us a chance to tell better stories, increase competition and create more value for fans, broadcasters and sponsors. Just increasing the time will not do anything, during that time we will also have to focus on content, fan engagement and off-season planning.' At present, 10 teams play 74 matches and the tournament gets a window of 9-10 weeks. But there is news that from 2028, the number of matches in IPL can be increased to 94, although the number of teams will not increase. This proposed plan will allow every team to play an equal number of home and away matches, which will automatically increase the league window. However, it is not possible to implement it before 2028 as the schedule till 2027 is already fixed.

Chris Broussard predicts Mike Tomlin's first losing season despite Aaron Rodgers joining Steelers

Chris Broussard on Mike Tomlin's first losing season (Image via AP) Chris Broussard didn't hold back when assessing the Pittsburgh Steelers' playoff hopes after acquiring veteran quarterback Aaron Rodgers. On FS1, Broussard gave a sobering projection that this could mark Mike Tomlin's first losing season as head coach — despite optimism surrounding Rodgers' presence. Analyst says Aaron Rodgers' arrival won't be enough as AFC North competition looms large The longtime analyst argued that Aaron Rodgers' arrival has been overhyped, especially given the brutal competitiveness of the AFC North. 'This is going to be the 1st losing season of Mike Tomlin's career,' Broussard said. 'I'm going to give them some benefit of the doubt. Now, I'm not saying they will definitely, but let's say they start 3-0. That's a big if.' Broussard laid out a scenario where the Steelers split their six division games in the AFC North — going 3-3 — and still finish the season at 8-9. 'Even if I say they start 3-0, go .500 in the division, they're still 8-9. I just think it's going to be failure,' he added. Rodgers hasn't made playoffs since 2021 Broussard also questioned Rodgers' recent form and injury history, suggesting the hype around his arrival is misplaced. 'He (Aaron Rodgers) hasn't made the playoffs since 2021. His last three seasons — or really two, since he got hurt with the Jets in his first year — he's 13-21.' Aaron Rodgers gives Steelers best QB play in years, will not make a difference | FIRST THINGS FIRST Given the strength of the AFC North — with Joe Burrow's Bengals, Lamar Jackson's Ravens, and a resurgent Browns defense — Broussard argued that Rodgers may not be enough to push the Steelers into contention. Former NFL player and FS1 analyst James Jones offered a completely different outlook, suggesting Rodgers' arrival instantly elevates the franchise. 'Well they're a playoff team now,' Jones said on The Facility. 'Once you get to the playoffs, anything can happen. Coach Tomlin should have a smile on his face this morning because now your team has a chance to compete,' he continued. 'A couple of days ago, your team did not have a chance to compete, but Aaron Rodgers walking into that building — instantly you're a playoff team. I believe Aaron Rodgers still has a lot of good football left in him. Tomlin, renowned for never having a losing season since taking over in 2007, now finds himself in the crossfire of conflicting projections — with the 2025 campaign shaping up to be one of the most scrutinized of his career.
