
Sunny Deol Teams Up With Farhan Akhtar For His Next Action Thriller: Report
Sunny Deol has completed the shoot of the much-awaited sequel, Border 2. And now he is reportedly set to collaborate with Farhan Akhtar for a major action thriller. The other details have not been shared till now. But Pinkvilla has reported that the film will be larger than life. However, an official confirmation is still awaited.
Pinkvilla, in its report, mentioned that Sunny Deol is teaming up with Excel Entertainment for the first time. The project is reported to be a big-budget action thriller. The entertainment portal quoted a source saying, 'The two stakeholders have been in talks for a while now, and are excited to collaborate on a high-concept big-budget action thriller. Sunny loves the script and is excited to partner with Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani on the film."
'It's a larger-than-life feature film with Sunny Deol in an avatar that the audience loves to see him in. Excel too is going all out to ensure that their maiden collaboration with Sunny turns out to be a special treat for the cinema-going audience, with a lot of intense and high-on-drama moments," source added.
What's Next For Sunny Deol?
He was most recently seen on the screens in the action film Jaat, co-starring Randeep Hooda. Released theatrically on April 10, the movie directed by Gopichand Malineni emerged as a commercial success. Jaat is set to return to screens with a sequel soon.
Currently, Sunny Deol is gearing up for the release of the period drama Lahore 1947. Starring Preity Zinta, Shabana Azmi, Ali Fazal and Abhimanyu Singh, the film is directed by Rajkumar Santoshi. Although it was scheduled to be released this year, the film has been delayed due to production issues. Besides this, the 67-year-old actor also has Border 2 in the pipeline, featuring Varun Dhawan, Ahaan Shetty and others.
Sunny Deol Is On A Trip With His Son Rajveer
Recently, the 67-year-old actor was on a trip to the majestic Himalayas with his son, Rajveer Deol. Just days ago, he posted a reel on his Instagram account, giving fans a peek into the father-son trip. The video opens with Sunny Deol asking his son if he's having 'fun". To which, he replied, 'Yes, lots of fun. Covered in dust. Good dust, healthy dust. It's good for your skin."
