How to watch 'Rick and Morty' Season 8: Channel, premiere date, where to stream and more
The Emmy-winning animated series Rick and Morty is back for its eighth season this weekend. The irreverent series about a mad scientist and his grandson's adventures across the universe will premiere on Adult Swim on Sunday, May 25 at 11 p.m. ET with the first of 10 new episodes that will drop weekly through July 27. The series, which stars Ian Cardoni, Harry Belden, Sarah Chalke, Chris Parnell, and Spencer Grammer will also be airing in over 170 countries, so whether you're in the U.S. or abroad, here's everything you need to know about how to watch Rick and Morty Season 8 when it premieres on Sunday, and how to watch it with the help of a VPN if you don't have cable.

Rick and Morty airs on Adult Swim. After an entire season is finished airing, it will eventually stream on HBO Max.
There are several ways you can watch Rick and Morty without cable. Adult Swim is available on several platforms, including DirecTV, Fubo, Hulu + Live TV and YouTube TV. Warner Bros. Discovery has also confirmed that episodes will be available to stream in the U.S. on Max, but not until Sept. 1.
While the new season of Rick and Mortys won't be immediately available on Max (you'll have to wait until it arrives on Sept. 1), you can catch the past seven seasons on demand on the platform now.
If you don't have cable but still want to stream Season 8 of Rick and Morty as new episodes are released, all it takes is a VPN. By using a VPN, you can access new episodes of Rick and Morty when they air in other countries and stream them on demand after they premiere. Just note that the premiere dates may vary. For example, it's scheduled to debut June 1 in the U.K. on Channel 4's My4, and May 26 on the Australian version of HBO Max (though you'll still need your US HBO subscription to watch it). Audra McDonald is setting boundaries. The Tony-winning actress, 55, took to Instagram to call out a fan who she said followed her after a recent performance of "Gypsy" on Broadway. McDonald said the person "snuck around and found" her while she was leaving the theater and followed her "all the way to where I was staying." They then came into the building and got "uncomfortably close" to her, she said. The "Gilded Age" star said that after she got security to step in, the fan complained that they had traveled a long way to see her and "felt that they deserved" an autograph. "That is crossing a big old boundary," she said. "I just want to call that out. That's a big no-no. That's now messing with my safety. It's not right." Regardless of the reason, McDonald urged followers to let actors be and respect their boundaries when they're leaving the theater after a stage performance. "When you see an actor leave the stage door, if they don't stop, leave them alone," she said. "There is a reason that they're not stopping, and it has nothing to do with you. It's them protecting their space and peace, whatever that may be." The Broadway legend has been starring in a revival of "Gypsy" since 2024 and earned a Tony nomination for her performance as Rose. The show was also nominated for best revival of a musical at the Tonys. It had its final performance on Sunday, Aug. 17. McDonald received support from fellow actors in the comments of her video, including from Tony winner Kecia Lewis. The "Hell's Kitchen" star said it was "very kind" of McDonald to share her reasoning for not coming out to greet fans at the stage door. Troy Aikman can pinpoint the exact moment his already-strained relationship with Cowboys head coach Barry Switzer passed the point of no return during their second campaign together in 1995. When reflecting on his rocky rapport with Switzer in the newly released Netflix docuseries 'America's Team: The Gambler and His Cowboys,' which examined the Cowboys' rise and their controversies in the 1990s, the Hall of Fame quarterback recalled a meeting with Switzer following a Week 14 loss to Washington, when Aikman allegedly chewed out wide receiver Kevin Williams over dropped passes, culminating in an accusation from Jimmy Johnson's successor that put the 'final nail' in their relationship. If a player's not doing what he's supposed to do, I didn't give two s–ts as to what color he was.' In the lead-up to the big game, a story in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram outlined the fracture between Aikman and Switzer, including racial allegations made against the star quarterback. But at this point in time, there wasn't anything to talk about. We have to overcome it, and we have to move on from it. We can't reschedule the season.' In 1997, Switzer's fourth and final year at the helm, the Cowboys plummeted to 6-10. Switzer, now 87, resigned at the end of the season.
