"We got a very good response," All-Party Delegation member Manan Kumar Mishra says
Madrid [Spain] June 3 (ANI): On conclusion of All-Party delegation's visit to four nations, BJP's Rajya Sabha MP and senior advocate Manan Kumar Mishra said that all the countries that they visited responded positively to India's response to Pahalgam terror attack.
In conversation with ANI, Mishra recounted how they did not expect a positive response from an Islamic country like the UAE, but they got a good response instead.
'Under the leadership of Shrikant Shinde, we visited four countries. We went to the UAE first. We got very good response there. We did not expect that we would get such a good response from an Islamic country like UAE,' he said.
He added that Sierra Leone and Liberia even observed silence for the innocent civilians who dies in the attacks.
'Today, in the parliament of two countries- Sierra Leone and Liberia, silence was observed to honour the deceased souls (of those who died in Pahalgam terrorist attack). This is a big thing. Everyone has condemned the activities of Pakistan and the terrorist incidents. Everyone has strongly opposed terrorist activities by Pakistan,' he said.
Mishra said that in the coming days, they expect that these countries will raise their voices in international for a for India.
'We expected that in the coming days, these three countries in the UNSC and African Union will raise their voice. Pakistan is a terrorist country that produces terrorists. It trains and dispatches them to India and other countries. We have explained these things very well to them,' he said.
Mishra said that they met the Indian diaspora in these places as well and got a good response.
'We met the Indian diaspora everywhere and got a great response. We have been successful in conveying a message against Pakistan and terrorism. In the coming days, the results of our mission will be revealed to the country and the world,' he said.

Jaisalmer: In a symbolic tribute to the heroes of Operation Sindoor , the Wildlife Institute of India (WII) in Jaisalmer has named five Great Indian Bustard (GIB) chicks after key figures and elements of the military operation. This initiative not only honours the valour of Indian forces but also highlights the intersection of national defence and wildlife conservation. Operation Sindoor, launched by the Indian govt, targeted terrorist hideouts in Pakistan, showcasing India's strategic, technological, and female power. In recognition of this, the GIB chicks born during the operation at the Sudasari and Ramdevra breeding and conservation centres have been named Sindoor, Atom, Mishri, Vyom, and Sophia. Deputy Conservator of Forests at Desert National Park, B M Gupta, explained the significance of these names. The chick named Sindoor, born on May 5, represents the entire military campaign. Atom, born on May 9, symbolises the strategic strength of the operation. Mishri, born on May 19, pays tribute to an intelligence officer known for countering cyber-espionage. Rs 2,000-cr classroom ‘scam' case: ACB questions former AAP minister Satyendar Jain for five hours
Former AAP Minister Satyendar Jain was questioned on Friday by the Anti-Corruption Branch (ACB) of the Delhi government for around five hours at their office in North Delhi. On May 3, the ACB had issued summonses to Jain and former AAP minister Manish Sisodia over alleged corruption to the tune of Rs 2,000 crore in the construction of classrooms in government schools when their party was in power. Officials said after Sisodia's questioning on Monday, Jain is likely to be called for questioning in the coming week. Jain arrived at the ACB office around 11.45 am, along with his lawyer, and was questioned till a little over 5 pm. Sources said Jain was asked several questions with regard to how the classrooms were built. Officials further added that Jain's response to allegations was repetitive. When asked about a certain kind of favouritism shown to contractors and architects, Jain claimed he did not know them or had any personal relationship with them. On April 30, the ACB had registered an FIR against the two AAP leaders in connection with alleged corruption in the construction of 12,748 classrooms or semi-permanent structures during the previous AAP government's tenure. While Sisodia held the finance and education portfolios in the AAP government, Jain was the minister of health, industries, power, home, urban development, and PWD. Following the summonses, the AAP had said in a statement, 'This is not a scam by any stretch — it's a calculated political ploy by the BJP. They are weaponising institutions to attack AAP leaders and create a false narrative… When the Aam Aadmi Party held power in Delhi, the BJP systematically defanged the ACB to strip it of any real authority. Today, they are using the same weakened institution as a tool to target AAP leaders and further their own agenda.' Joint Commissioner of Police Madhur Verma, who heads the ACB, had earlier confirmed the registration of the FIR. 'The Chief Technical Examiner's report of the Central Vigilance Commission (CVC) pointed out several anomalies in the project, and the report was kept under the carpet for about three years. The case was registered after permission under Section 17-A of the Prevention of Corruption Act was received from the competent authority,' he said. In 2019, BJP leaders Kapil Mishra, Harish Khurana and Neelkant Bakshi had filed a complaint alleging financial irregularities in the construction of classrooms in government schools in three zones. According to the complaint, the construction cost per room came out to approximately Rs 24.86 lakh, exponentially higher than the roughly Rs 5 lakh it takes for similar constructions in Delhi. They also alleged that the project was awarded to 34 contractors, most of whom were associated with the AAP. According to ACB officials, 12,748 semi-permanent structures were supposed to be built at a cost of Rs 1,200 per sqft, but the cost shot up to around Rs 2,292 per sqft during construction.
