Clemson makes a huge splash in the transfer portal landing guard Jestin Porter
Porter, a 6-foot-1 scoring threat, chose Clemson over several other programs, including Arizona State and Ole Miss. Considered one of the top mid-major guards available in the portal, Porter is coming off a strong junior season in which he averaged 15 points, 2.9 rebounds, 1.2 assists and 1.1 steals per game. He shot 41% from the field and connected on 36.4% of his three-point attempts.

Porter will arrive at Clemson as a rising senior with one year of eligibility remaining. He is expected to bring immediate offensive production and veteran presence to a Tiger backcourt that now includes returning guard Dillon Hunter and fellow transfer Efrem 'Butta' Johnson.
This marks the sixth addition for Clemson out of the portal this offseason, and the second guard. Brownell has also added size to the roster with big men Nick Davidson, Carter Welling, RJ Godfrey, and Jake Wahlin.
With Porter in the mix, Clemson continues to round out a roster that blends experience and scoring ability—something that could be crucial as the Tigers look to build on last season's NCAA Tournament run.

Michigan State basketball in the Top-6 for rising 2026 4-star PF Quinn Costello
On the same day that Michigan State basketball made the final list for one major 2026 recruit in Ethan Taylor, the Spartans also made the top six for the recruitment of rising power forward Quinn Costello. Costello released his top-6 on Saturday night via Joe Tipton of Tipton Edits, and it looks like MSU will be going head-to-head with several Big Ten schools for the commitment of the talented forward. Michigan State basketball makes top six for 5-star center Ethan Taylor
Michigan State basketball fans got some welcome news on the recruiting front on Saturday, when 2026 5-star center Ethan Taylor dropped his top six schools for his recruitment and included the Spartans in that group. Ethan Taylor is a 7-foot, 244-pound center who is currently ranked the No.1 center in the class by the 247Sports composite rankings. They have him ranked at No. 22 in the 2026 class by those same composite rankings.
