Alex married Yip, a non-celebrity 14 years his junior, earlier this year.
He revealed they were dating in 2023.
Yip is a cult victim who appeared on the Netflix documentary In The Name of God: A Holy Betrayal to expose the South Korean Jesus Morning Star (JMS) cult.
Back then, Alex told Hong Kong media her interview in the documentary was "tough to watch".
"I admire her courage greatly, that she would come out and talk about such injustices and report them," he said.
"It chilled me to the core initially, and I wondered why she could be so naive and immature, but she was probably more resilient compared to the rest of us in the things she did.
"I treasure her more after watching it. It chilled my heart, and it hurt, but I felt she is all the more amazing."

Brittney Marie Jones: Kelly Clarkson's Ex-Assistant Cheated on Her Husband With Brandon Blackstock and Was Living With Him at the Time of His Death

Kelly Clarkson's ex-assistant is allegedly who had an affair with Brandon Blackstock, allegedly cheated on her husband, according to a report. According to a source, Jones's now ex-husband, Greg LaPoint, found out about her alleged affair with the music executive in the summer of 2023, a source told Page Six, which was the first to report on the cheating scandal. "He got screwed over due to [Jones and Blackstock's] fling starting during his marriage," the insider told Page Six. Court documents obtained by Page Six reveal that the Jones married Gypsy Nights drummer Greg LaPoint on August 13, 2021. Evidence of their marriage still appears on his social media accounts. Cheating and an Affair Brittney Marie Jones Facebook In a September 11, 2022, Instagram post, the "Favorite Escape" musician wrote, "Can't believe it's already been a year since we said, 'I do.'" "I can not imagine a world without you by my side, a partner who is as real as they come. A lover, cuddler and sure spit fire. I am forever grateful I get to call you my wife," he added. Although LaPoint acknowledged at the time that every relationship has its highs and lows, he ended his heartfelt message by saying, "I will always be the one you can count on to lift you up." Brittney Marie Jones Facebook Sources told that when LaPoint learned of his wife's alleged affair, he immediately asked her to file for divorce. According to court documents obtained by Page Six, she filed on July 13, 2023, citing "irreconcilable differences." Jones, however, listed their separation date as January 2023 — even though LaPoint shared a photo of them happily hiking that same month. Court records show their divorce was finalized in February 2024. While Jones is accused of being unfaithful, multiple sources told Page Six that Blackstock did not have an affair with her while still married to Clarkson. Brandon Blackstock and Kelly Clarkson. Instagram According to two insiders, the music executive and the "Since U Been Gone" singer were divorced "long before" his relationship with the former assistant began. One source added that Blackstock "slipped away to Montana" after his high-profile breakup, keeping many details of his romance out of the public eye. Shocking Secret Affair The public first learned of Jones's relationship with Blackstock through an obituary following his recent death from cancer, which described her as his "beautiful and loving partner in life and business" and that they had started "building a life, building companies, and working tirelessly to create Headwaters Livestock Auction." Brandon Blackstock with Brittney Marie Jones Facebook The two had known each other for years, as Jones worked for Clarkson from 2018 to 2022 — during the talk show host's marital struggles — managing her daily schedule, according to her LinkedIn profile. During that time, Jones also served as Blackstock's executive assistant and later continued working with him at his Valley View Rodeo. Clarkson has never addressed the infidelity allegations. However, court filings revealed she said that the "level of conflict" between herself and the father of her two children had "increased" and that they had a "difficult time co-parenting due to issues of trust between them." Jones was living with Blackstock in the period leading up to his death. Public records suggest she had been living at his nearly $1.7 million Montana estate since at least April 2024. By that time, Blackstock had been single for several years, having separated from Clarkson in 2020, with their divorce finalized in 2022. Clarkson was reportedly not fond of her ex's new relationship, with a source telling the Daily Mail it was "the icing on the cake of the disappointment." Still, the two women managed to remain cordial, as the insider noted, "Kelly understood that Brittney wouldn't cause any issues between her and her children, and there was never any misunderstanding between them." Jones appeared to be deeply in love with Blackstock, as her father recently shared on Facebook that the businessman was his daughter's true "soulmate." "Yesterday we lost a good man Brandon Blackstock my daughter's soulmate and I considered him my son," he wrote after the music manager lost his three-year melanoma battle at age 48. Blackstock died on Aug. 7 after a long battle with melanoma, an aggressive type of skin cancer. His family shared the heartbreaking news in a statement. Brittney Marie Jones Facebook "It is with great sadness that we share the news that Brandon Blackstock has passed away. Brandon bravely battled cancer for more than three years," Blackstock's loved ones said. "He passed away peacefully and was surrounded by family," they added. "We thank you for your thoughts and prayers and ask everyone to respect the family's privacy during this very difficult time." Silver Bow County Coroner Dan Hollis later verified that the talent manager "died peacefully" from melanoma at his residence in Butte, Montana.

Blackpink's Jisoo shot new music video in Singapore's Rainforest Wild Asia

South Korean singer and actress Jisoo from K-pop girl group Blackpink shot the music video for her new song Your Love in Singapore's Rainforest Wild Asia, in partnership with Singapore Tourism Board (STB) and Mandai Wildlife Reserve. The two-minute 54-second clip, released on Aug 12, sees her singing amid a lush tropical rainforest, as well as the man-made cave system in Singapore's fifth wildlife park. She is also filmed in Cavern Restaurant, a cavernous 150-seat air-conditioned restaurant and one of the eateries within the attraction. Also making an appearance are langurs, one of the animal species that inhabit Rainforest Wild Asia. Your Love is a single from Jisoo's debut solo mini-album Amortage, which was released on Feb 14. In March, the 30-year-old was in Singapore for an appearance at Amortage at Far East Malls, a pop-up concept store celebrating the album release. Jisoo will be back in town with her fellow Blackpink bandmates to perform at the National Stadium on Nov 29 and 30 as part of their highly anticipated Deadline world tour. The music video is also a collaboration with local dance talent agency Jam Republic, which oversaw the overall operations and logistics during filming, and Jisoo's agency Blisoo. Ms Serene Tan, STB's director, North Asia, says in a statement: "Together with Mandai Wildlife Group, one of our key partners in this collaboration, we aim to showcase Singapore's unique landscapes and attractions, including its lush green spaces and immersive wildlife experiences. "Jisoo's emotional performance brought Singapore's natural beauty to life, and we hope that leveraging her global influence, we can introduce K-pop fans and visitors around the world to the unforgettable experiences that only Singapore can offer, and inspire them to experience them for themselves." Mandai Wildlife Park is a visually striking and memorable experience, and we expect it to resonate strongly with South Korean travellers who value emotional storytelling and Instagrammable photos." Rainforest Wild Asia will be hosting the Your Love Meets The Wild campaign, an immersive rainforest adventure that includes special trails that recreate scenes from the music video and visits to stone chambers inspired by real caves. The campaign will run from Aug 13 to Oct 5. Jisoo is the latest pop star to film a music video in Singapore in partnership with STB this year. In May, K-pop boy band BTS member Jin released the shot-in-Singapore music video for his single Don't Say You Love Me that featured scenes filmed in local spots such as National Gallery Singapore, Gardens by the Bay, Singapore Flyer and Goldhill Plaza. British band Coldplay's Man In The Moon MV, released in February, features the quartet performing on a custom-made floating stage in Marina Bay. Besides prominent places such as Jewel Changi Airport and S.E.A. Aquarium, it also features heartland spots, such as an HDB estate in MacPherson.

'So much of my work never made it out there': Ferlyn Wong unveils 2014 SKarf footage, Entertainment News

Even if this quintet disbanded 11 years ago, fans still fondly remember its 13th debut anniversary yesterday (Aug 14). To commemorate the occasion, local actress Ferlyn Wong took to Instagram to share previously unreleased practice footage of K-pop girl group SKarf, which she was part of from 2012 to 2014. In the video, the five members perform a song cover of Wings by British girl group Little Mix. The 33-year-old wrote in her Reel's caption: "Thirteen years ago, the world met SKarf. Singapore saw its first homegrown talents step into the K-pop spotlight. "We grew up quickly, learning to navigate change and survival at a young age... What we went through wasn't just a journey; it was a quiet fight to keep going. "Today, we've all taken flight in different directions. We're not always in touch, but when we do reconnect, it's as if no time has passed. I'm proud of us. Talent? Plenty. Luck? Not so much. Passion? We were on fire!" SKarf debuted in Seoul in August 2012, with their song Oh! Dance. Its original line-up consisted of leader Tasha and Ferlyn from Singapore, Sol who is Korean-American and Jenny from South Korea. After Sol's departure in December 2012, Korean member JooA and Japanese member Hana joined the group. A day leading up to yesterday's release of the footage, Ferlyn dropped hints when she posted Instagram Stories of herself dancing to K-pop choreographies, reminiscing: "Back then I ate, slept and breathed dance. Everyone just got used to it. "The only thing that makes me sad is knowing so much of my work never made it out there. Those were the days before social media. Will be releasing something special tomorrow." Ferlyn told AsiaOne that she had decided to post the song cover after 11 years as she has "grown deeply proud" of everything that has been achieved under SKarf's name. "What touches me even more is knowing that so many SKarf fans have stayed by our side all this time, supporting us, cheering for us and looking out for us. Their love has never gone unnoticed. "It's also a chance for me to share our story with new fans who have come to know me through (local dramas) Emerald Hill and The Spirit Hunter. Whether they've been here since day one or only just joined me on this journey, they're part of this chapter and I'm so grateful for them." She also shared that she recently had a video call with JooA and Tasha. The latter is now an actress, going by Tasha Low, and both Singaporeans recently acted together in the drama Emerald Hill: The Little Nyonya Story. "It reminded me how special our connection is. We can go months without talking, but when we do, it feels like no time has passed at all. There's a level of trust and comfort between us that's so warm," she expressed. "Everyone is doing well. Thank you for the concern." Despite the group's disbandment in 2014, many SKarf fans and Singaporeans showed their adoration for the group in the Reel's comments section. One said: "So much love for SKarf! Proud to be a fan from the start, all of you worked hard and did well! Keep shining, fighting!" "I still sing Oh! Dance and Luv Virus in the norebang (Korean for karaoke)!" said another fan. "My favourite song with my favourite group?! I'm so sad this cover never got to be performed, but nonetheless, thank you so much Ferlyn for showing us this precious video!" wrote a fan. Acknowledging the heartfelt comments, Ferlyn said: "I'm always so grateful for all of our SKarf fans. The journey hasn't always been easy, but they've made it meaningful and full of purpose. Just as they feel I've touched their lives, I want them to know that they've touched mine too. "I can't wait to make more memories together. For those who've been with me since my SKarf days, it's so special to see you grow, achieve and make your mark in the world. I'm grateful to you for being part of this journey with me."
