Georgia QB Jaden Rashada transferring to FCS program
Former Georgia Bulldogs quarterback Jaden Rashada, who previously played quarterback for Arizona State, surveyed his options in the NCAA transfer portal for the second time in his college career. Despite not finding a new team during the winter transfer window he had many suitors like North Carolina, Western Kentucky, UConn, and more.
Rashada has decided to sign with Sacramento State Hornets which is an FCS (Football Championship Subdivision) team which is is below the FBS (Football Bowl Subdivision). Sacramento State is looking to join the FBS level in 2026. Rashada will look to become the starting quarterback for the Hornets.

Rashada's journey in college football has been an adventurous one. Originally, he committed to the Florida Gators, but due to NIL disagreements resulting in a lawsuit, he asked to be released from his National Letter of Intent and signed with the Arizona State Sun Devils in 2023.
With the Sun Devils, he completed 44 of 82 passes for 485 yards, four touchdowns, and three interceptions in 2023. Rashada competed for the Sun Devils' starting job in 2024, but after losing it to Sam Leavitt, he decided to enter the transfer portal on April 18, 2024.
He chose to transfer to the Georgia Bulldogs on April 25. Rashada could've potentially earned some more starting experience when Carson Beck went down. However, he lost the backup spot to sophomore Gunner Stockton, who took over for Beck when he suffered an elbow injury in the SEC championship.

ESPN releases bowl schedule for 33 games at the end of the 2025 college football season
The 2025 college football bowl season begins on December 13. ESPN released its schedule for the postseason on Thursday as the network will televise 33 bowl games outside of the 12-team College Football Playoff. The only non-playoff bowl games the network doesn't have the rights to are the Holiday Bowl, Sun Bowl and the Arizona Bowl. Advertisement Bowl season will unofficially begin with the Celebration Bowl on Dec. 13, and the first FBS bowl game of the season kicks off at 9 p.m. ET that night with the LA Bowl. The biggest day of bowl season is on Dec. 27. Seven games will be featured on that Saturday along with multiple Week 17 NFL games. There is a game missing from this year's bowl slate, however. ESPN announced that the Bahamas Bowl would not take place at the end of the season and that 'league commitments will fulfilled through other ESPN owned-and-operated games.' The network owns 17 bowl games and the Bahamas Bowl has annually featured teams from Conference USA and the MAC. The entire ESPN FBS bowl schedule is listed below and all times are Eastern. Taking a look at the team rankings as they stand right now, there are programs near the top of the list that haven't been associated with elite recruiting classes in recent years. It's been more than 10 years since the Sun Devils have finished with a top-20 recruiting class and it's not out of the question to think Arizona State could reach that threshold this year. Just one season after its unlikely run to the College Football Playoff, Arizona State currently holds commitments from three four-star prospects, which is more than in any Arizona State class since the 2021 recruiting cycle. The Sun Devils may not be known as a recruiting power but the arrow is certainly pointing up. Illinois currently has a top-10 recruiting class, something the program has never had at the end of a recruiting cycle. In fact, Illinois' highest-ranked recruiting class was in 2007 when it finished at No. 20 in the team rankings. With five four-star prospects onboard, Illinois is set up to finish with one of the best recruiting classes in program history. If they crash the College Football Playoff this season, who knows how high the Illini could finish. Advertisement SHARE YOUR THOUGHTS WITH ILLINOIS FANS AT LOUISVILLE Nick Lucero/ RELATED: Louisville 2026 commit list The Cardinals were fully engaged with recruiting the transfer portal earlier than the majority of college football teams and have been aggressive there over the last few years, signing just 15 or 16 high school prospects in each of the last four years. In this cycle though, head coach Jeff Brohm and company already have 17 commitments and find themselves just outside the top 10 and the team rankings. With two Rivals250 commitments and an additional four-star commitment, the Cardinals are in position for their highest-ranked recruiting class since the 2023 cycle. Still, the Scarlet Knights have put together a strong recruiting class with five four-star prospects and currently sit inside the top 10 of the team rankings. Rutgers has never finished with a top-25 recruiting class, but there is still time for the Scarlet Knights to pick up momentum with key prospects and reel them in before the end of the recruiting cycle. Advertisement SHARE YOUR THOUGHTS WITH RUTGERS FANS AT USC RELATED: USC 2026 commit list The Trojans are a far cry from the Pete Carroll years when they were consistently signing top-five recruiting classes, but head coach Lincoln Riley and general manager Chad Bowden have seemingly reversed that trend. USC currently sits at No. 1 in the team rankings with a total of 27 commitments, including two five-stars and three other top-100 prospects. The Trojans will need to continue to add elite prospects to this class if they hope to hold onto that top spot, but they've already positioned themselves to finish well inside the top 10. Pair of Georgia rivalry games gets major sponsorship The Georgia Bulldogs have already announced that they will play a rivalry game at Mercedes Benz Stadium for each of the next two seasons. However, AMB Sports and Entertainment announced that Mercedes Benz will host more college games in the future. This series of college games will be called the "Invesco QQQ Atlanta Gridiron Classic", and the 2025 Georgia versus Georgia Tech game will be the start of it. The aim is to "host powerhouse college football programs and storied rivalries on one of college football's biggest stages." Georgia's game against Georgia Tech in 2025 will mark a memorable moment. It will be the first time the rivalry of "Clean, Old-Fashioned Hate" has taken place in a neutral site. The matchup will occur on Black Friday, Nov. 28. Additionally, The Bulldogs have never played the Florida Gators in Mercedes-Benz before. The World's Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party has taken place in Jacksonville for the past 18 years. Following the 2026 matchup in Atlanta, the two teams will meet again in Raymond James Stadium in 2027 before returning to Jacksonville, which is undergoing stadium renovations for the next couple of years, in 2028. Georgia will earn $17.5 million in the next two years from this series. The Bulldogs will earn $10 million from the 2025 game versus Georgia Tech and $7.5 million for the 2026 game against Florida. Kirby Smart is currently 7-4 all-time in Mercedes-Benz, but in 2024, he went 2-0, winning the season opener against Clemson and the SEC championship against Texas.
