Lindsay Lohan says she ‘would love role in dark comedy like Mean Girls'
The New York-born film star, 38, played Cady Heron in the 2004 cult movie about female high school social cliques, written by 30 Rock star Tina Fey.

Speaking to Elle magazine, Lohan said: 'I'm excited (about Freaky Friday). It feels surreal. I've never thought I would do a movie where there would be a sequel.
'It's something you don't really think about. And then when you get to do it, and bring a character that you knew so well back to life, in a sense, it's exciting.
'There's a comfort with it that you don't find in a new character. It's evolved.
'What are they like now? How can we shoot it? So it felt really special, and so did doing my first feature back with Disney again after not doing features for such a long time. It's a really nice thing.'
Speaking about her relationship with Curtis, who plays her mother in Freakier Friday, she added: 'We're both very family-oriented people.
'We always talk about that, and one of the other big things (she's taught me) is to always take care of yourself first. Because without that, how can you do everything for everyone else?'

In a teaser for the new film, slated for release in August, their characters appear to swap bodies with Anna's daughter and soon-to-be stepdaughter.
Lohan now has her own child, a son called Luai whom she welcomed with her husband, Bader Shammas, in 2023.
The actress hinted she might want another child, telling the magazine that Luai 'needs a friend'.
'I don't know if it's selfish — but I'm like, 'I need more than one kid to take care of me when I'm older',' she said.
Speaking about potential future projects, she added: 'I would love to find a dark comedy like Mean Girls.
'That kind of meaty, good, funny movie — a smart comedy. Not a rom-com, just a straightforward funny movie. I'm excited to be doing this drama. I'd love to work with some dream directors.'
Lohan shot to fame thanks to 1998 movie The Parent Trap, which came out when she was just 12 years old.
She has also starred in films including Herbie: Fully Loaded (2005) and I Know Who Killed Me (2007).

Episode 4 Episode 4 of The Better Sister begins with Chloe dreaming about Hank's funeral. Hank cracks jokes with Chloe and looks down upon Nicky. Sheila nails his casket shut. Young Ethan shows up with a gun. Chloe wakes up to find Nicky baking. She wants Chloe to try but she waves Nicky off. Chloe tells her about the dream and laughs at how mom was always uptight and weird about dad who was an easygoing guy. This description surprises Nicky but they are interrupted by a new article – the sister wives connection among Nicky, Chloe, Adam and Ethan. Chloe panics and Nicky is hurt to learn that Chloe kept her presence a secret. Catherine is upset by the secret as well. She is distant and states that the board needs a statement from Chloe EOD. Tired of the chaos, Chloe tries to cancel Adam's wake but Catherine's daughter, Janie convinces her not to. As Chloe leaves, she has Adam cremated since the autopsy is done. Nicky heads to an AA meeting. In a flashback, we see a drunk Hank being rude and then jovial with a young Nicky. Before he heads to bed, he gives her whiskey and she drinks it. She tells the AA group that alcohol was the only thing she shared with her father. He hated her otherwise and so she would force herself to drink even though she didn't like it. She is also upset that Chloe is so ashamed that she has shut out that part of their family and buried everything related to Nicky. Ken, a friendly guy, advises her to talk to Chloe as secrets can be poison. He is right as Chloe next explains herself to Jake and paints Nicky as a selfish addict. She had hoped Ethan would fix Nicky but when he drowned, she took it upon herself to look after him. And while raising him, she and Adam fell in love. They 'buried' Nicky for a fresh start. With the world watching her, she hints that nothing can happen between her and Jake. He seems understanding but excuses himself. She spots his phone and finds texts to Bill. That he didn't find anything at Adam's beach house. Nicky visits Ethan next and he has been beaten up. He asks her not to tell Chloe. As they catch up, he reveals he is getting a therapist. She is surprised that he is intimidated, as he has never really gone for therapy. He is scared and makes her promise to visit him every week. Back home, Chloe packs up Adam's things. She hallucinates him and he wonders if he ever did anything good in his life. She thinks they did. A pap catches her from a rooftop and she looks annoyed. Adam claims she will miss the attention once it stops. She finally gets a call from Michelle who advises her to lie low as the court won't like any more scandals. Chloe heads to the beach house and finds Nicky cooking gazpacho for them. She convinces Nicky to come to the wake and they have a sweet bonding moment. It is ruined when Nicky brings up therapy and how Adam thought it was for the weak. She insists it is good for families like theirs and Chloe lashes out. She believes their family was fine and everything bad was due to Nicky's bad decisions. Hurt, Nicky finally reveals that Hank was horrible. One night, he got drunk, mistook her for Sheila and tried to sleep with her. Sheila gave him an ultimatum which is why he got sober. A shocked Chloe holds to the fact that it was an accident and that Hank wasn't a bad guy. They are interrupted by Matt who finds it suspicious that Chloe had Adam cremated. Nicky kicks him out and the sisters head to the wake. Hosted by Catherine, it is extravagant and even includes a reporter. She judges Nicky who brings the gazpacho as a gift. The cherry on top is that the board has decided on a temporary leave of absence for Chloe. She tries to refuse but Catherine claims it is a good thing. Meanwhile, Nicky panics in the bathroom. She comes out and sees everyone eyeing her and showering Chloe with condolences. She ends up flirting with a waiter and starts drinking. Janie tries to befriend her and she exaggerates about herself. Nearby, Bill and Jake discuss work and we learn Gentry has renewed their contract. Catherine pushes Chloe into giving a speech who is worried about Nicky. Chloe tries to get her to leave but she refuses. Upset with everything, Chloe panics as well. She straightens up once she learns Ethan's trial is in 5 weeks. Wanting to be heard, she tells the reporter, Sid Evans that she buried Nicky for Ethan's sake. After the wake, Nate, the waiter, approaches Nicky and they hook up while Catherine watches from afar. Chloe goes home and gets drunk too. She is annoyed that Sid hasn't taken the bait and put out her story. She sits in Adam's car and suddenly remembers Hank driving recklessly. Young Chloe had been scared and Nicky had held her hand. Chloe shakes herself and finds the card of Edward Olivero, FBI agent. She calls him and we see he is in the car hanging around Jake's beach house. At the end of The Better Sister Episode 4, Nicky comes home and jumps into the pool. She hallucinates Hank and Adam and goes underwater to make them disappear. The Episode Review The Better Sister Episode 4 is yet another chapter that proves this show shines best when focusing on the sisters and their drama rather than the murder mystery. Despite being at the halfway mark, we have yet to learn much about Ethan or Adam which makes the prison experience or the hallucinations emotionless. In fact, Nicky hiding from Hank rather than Adam makes more sense, given what we learn about the dad and how Chloe only knows a rose-tinted version of him. But this chapter has an easy pace, flitting from segment to segment while exploring the different dynamics between the characters. Catherine is quite shady and seems to be more on the board's side than Chloe's, even though she acts otherwise. Jake is another vague character but his blatant pining over Chloe piques interest. But in the end, this is an enticing character study of estranged sisters who are as similar as they are different from each other. Former Sean 'Diddy' Combs assistant breaks down as she tells trial of alleged sexual assaults: 'I thought I was going to die with this'
A former employee of Sean "Diddy" Combs broke down in tears as she described being sexually assaulted by the hip-hop star on several occasions - telling the court the alleged abuse was "the most traumatising, worst thing that's ever happened to me". Three weeks into the trial, Mia* is the second alleged victim to testify against Combs, following his former partner Cassie's evidence alleging years of physical, sexual and emotional abuse. While Cassie waived her right to anonymity, Mia did not want to be identified and is appearing in court in Manhattan, New York, under a pseudonym. She started by telling the court about witnessing Combs, 55, being violent towards Cassie, before moving on to talk about her own experiences. Diddy trial day twelve - as it happened Mia told the court she once woke to find Combs on top of her and that he forced her to have sex against her will. Another time, he forced her to perform oral sex, she alleged. He also once threw a bucket of ice on her head and slammed her arm into a door on another occasion, she said. The court heard Mia had never told anyone about the alleged sexual assaults by Combs until she spoke to government investigators for this case. "I was going to die with this," she said, becoming tearful on the stand. "I didn't want anyone to know ever." Telling the court she could not say "no" to her former boss, she said: "I knew his power. And his control. I didn't want to lose everything that I worked so hard for." She also said she feared being attacked and was "always" worried about being physically hurt by Combs. "I didn't want to die or get hurt." Mia said she felt "desperate", "terrified and trapped" and described the alleged sexual assaults as "the most shameful thing of my life", and "the most traumatising, worst thing that's ever happened to me". Asked why she is speaking out now, she told the court: "Because I have to tell the truth." 'Chaotic and toxic' Mia, faltering at times, said working for Combs came with extreme highs and lows. Sometimes he would offer advice and act like her "protector", she said. Other times, he would "humiliate" her and berate her for small mistakes, and work her so hard she had little sleep, she said. "It was chaotic. It was toxic," she told the court. Combs's employees were always on edge because his mood could "change in a split second", causing everything to go from "happy to chaotic", she said. Mia told how she was barely at home once she started working for Combs. Like other employees, she often slept at his properties in LA, Miami and New York. She told the court she was not allowed to leave without his permission and was not allowed lock her door, even though it seemed as if other members of the predominantly male security staff were able to do so. "This is my house. No one locks the doors," Combs allegedly said to her. On one occasion, Mia said she worked without sleeping for five days, with prescription drugs getting her through it. It was only when she had a physical breakdown that Combs allowed her to sleep, jurors were told. Mia's testimony echoed that of prior prosecution witnesses, including several of Combs's other former employees, as well as Cassie. Cassie, an R'n'B singer and model whose legal name is Casandra Ventura, spoke for four days during the first week of the trial. She told jurors her ex-partner subjected her to hundreds of "freak offs" - drug-fuelled marathons in which she said she engaged in sex acts with male sex workers while he watched and filmed them. Heavily pregnant at the time, it was confirmed in court yesterday that she gave birth to her third child earlier this week. Mia is the second of three women testifying about alleged sexual abuse by Combs. The third woman, using the pseudonym "Jane", is also expected to testify about participating in freak offs. Combs has pleaded not guilty to charges of sex trafficking, racketeering conspiracy and transportation to engage in prostitution. During their opening statement, his lawyers conceded he could be violent at times, but said that did not make him a sex trafficker or racketeering leader. Combs denies using threats or his music industry clout to commit or cover up abuse. What did Mia say about Cassie? In the first part of her testimony, Mia told the court she saw Combs beating Cassie on several occasions and that she sustained injuries, including black eyes, other bruises, and fat lips. The two became friends, she said, and are still friends today. Mia described a party at Prince's house that she and Cassie "snuck out" to, saying Prince's security had to intervene when Combs turned up and started to attack her. She also described a trip to a private island in Turks and Caicos, in the Caribbean, saying she remembers Cassie being "terrified" as Combs banged on her door "screaming". On another occasion during that trip, they used paddle boards to go out to sea to get away from him, she said - but the weather changed and the sky turned dark. "I was trying to weigh if it was scarier to face Mother Nature or go back to Puff," Mia said, using the name she knew him by. "We eventually went back to Puff." Combs was also abusive to Cassie at the Cannes Film Festival in 2012, the court was told. Mia alleged she saw him digging his nails into her as they watched a film.
