Daily Mail17-07-2025
General Hospital legend Tristan Rogers revealed he is battling cancer.
On Thursday, the veteran actor's friend and publicist, Anthony Turk, announced the news in a press release, obtained by Soap Opera Digest.
'Beloved Emmy-winning actor Tristan Rogers, best known for his role as Robert Scorpio on the daytime drama, General Hospital, is sharing with fans that he has been diagnosed with cancer,' Turk began.
He continued: 'While he remains hopeful and is working closely with his medical team on a treatment plan, this is a challenging time for Tristan and his family.'
The star's rep kindly requested 'privacy and understanding' as Rogers and his family face 'the emotional and physical burdens that come with this diagnosis.'
'They are deeply grateful for the outpouring of support and love from their friends and family. Tristan sends his love to his fans and wants them to know how much he appreciates their loyalty and encouragement over the years,' Turk concluded. 'This support means more to him now than ever.'
Rogers is best known to daytime audiences as international spy-turned-Port Charles D.A. Robert Scorpio on General Hospital.
He has portrayed the character since 1980, and most recently, reprised his role on the series last year.
In 2018, he raved about returning to his beloved role and playing Robert, who he described as always having 'kind of a glib approach to everything.'
'He's a bit of a smart-mouth,' Rogers told Soap Opera Digest, at the time, of his character. 'I'm working with a lot of different people … And I think the fans are going to like it.'
Rogers has also appeared on Young and Restless as Colin Atkinson and as Hunter Jones on Bold and Beautiful.
In 2020, Rogers won the Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Performance by a Supporting Actor in a Digital Drama Series for his role as Doc in Studio City.
Rogers has been married to Teresa Parkerson since 1995.

Aubrey Anderson-Emmons doesn't look like this anymore! Modern Family's Lily is unrecognisable on Australian TV show

Aubrey Anderson-Emmons stunned Channel Seven viewers on Friday morning when she looked almost unrecognisable during a TV interview. The actress, 18, first won hearts as Lily Tucker-Pritchett on the long-running US comedy series Modern Family. But she had fans doing a double take on The Morning Show when she looked all grown up, rocking a brand new look following her days on the cult hit. The child star sported long curly locks and a trendy fringe which covered much of her recognisable face as she discussed her latest career move. Releasing her new solo EP, Drown, Aubrey also reminisced over her time 'growing up' on Modern Family. Making her TV debut on the show at age four in 2009, Aubrey said her 10 years filming the series was 'wonderful'. 'All the adults around me were supportive and lovely,' she continued. Aubrey also revealed she had recently spent time re-watching the show because she could not remember filming certain episodes, as she was so young. Elsewhere in the chat, Aubrey revealed the real reason she chose to use Frances Anderson as a stage name for her music career. 'People know me as [the character of] Lily, so I just wanted to start afresh,' she confessed. However, she also explained Frances Anderson is part of her legal name and she wanted to shorten it. 'I have a very long name—Aubrey Frances Anderson-Emmons,' she said with a laugh. During the chat, Aubrey said she had always loved music. 'My mum is a musician and a classically trained singer, and my grandpa's also a piano player and a singer. So I guess it kind of runs in the family.' She had fans doing a double take on The Morning Show when she looked all grown up, rocking a brand new look following her days on the cult hit She said her new music was partly inspired by her 11 seasons on Modern Family as well as 'what happened after' the show ended in 2020. Her EP Drown comes after her well-received first single, the electropop song Telephones and Traffic, which dropped in May. During its run, Modern Family won 22 Emmys, and was a critics' darling and a ratings hit. Aubrey's Lily, who in the show is the adopted daughter of Mitchell Pritchett and Cameron Tucker, became a fan favourite for her unfiltered and hilarious outbursts. Modern Family is currently streaming on Disney+.

Report: GTA 6 mission to include replacing subframe bush on Mafia Sentinel

Satire Incoming game to allow player impossible task of boring car maintenance Skip 1 photos in the image carousel and continue reading Here's roving correspondent, Cory Spondent, with his mostly incorrect exclusives from the world of motoring A mission in upcoming videogame Grand Theft Auto VI will be focused entirely on replacing a worn rear subframe bush on a Mafia Sentinel, insiders have revealed. Advertisement - Page continues below Despite its billing as a hugely complex, multifaceted crime drama, the game's designers were keen to marry the narrative-rich, explosive gameplay with the extraordinarily mundane world of car maintenance. As such, players will be offered side quests that not only involve replacing rear subframe bushes on classic GTA cars, but also in dealing with snapped bolts, impossibly tight nuts, rusty sills and parts shipping delays. You might like 'When we said GTA 6 will set a new benchmark for all entertainment, we meant it,' the insider said. 'And that includes the mind-numbingly dreary but inexplicably satisfying act of replacing a worn rear subframe bush on a fictional executive limousine. 'Sure, this blockbuster game will feature expertly-crafted dialogue, shoot-outs, wild helicopter sequences, speedboats blowing each other up and the kind of storyline that'd sweep up every Oscar going. But at its heart, Grand Theft Auto has always been about cars. Advertisement - Page continues below 'And cars break down. They rust. Their bushes perish and their water pumps give out and their bolts seize and their air-conditioning compressors fail and their cabin pollen filters require a degree in engineering to replace. We will enter this grey world of automotive drudgery, and we will make it sparkle.' The insider later admitted that attempting to source the replacement subframe bush would involve a complicated pre-mission involving a 520mph mid-air heist on a cargo aircraft transporting the parts while shooting down rival car maintenance garages in F-15 fighter jets during a thunderstorm.
