Mercury and Venus in Krishna's teachings and their zodiac connection
Mercury (Budh) and Venus (Shukra) are two planets deeply connected with communication, intelligence, beauty, and harmony — qualities that Lord Krishna displayed abundantly in his life and teachings.
By studying these planetary influences, we can better understand how his words and actions continue to inspire across generations.
Mercury governs speech, intellect, and the ability to convey ideas clearly. Krishna's role in the Mahabharata, especially in the
Bhagavad Gita
, is the perfect example of Mercury's influence. He used precise and impactful communication to guide Arjuna, helping him overcome doubt and confusion.
Mercury's energy also encourages adaptability, something Krishna demonstrated by handling various life situations — from playful childhood pranks in Vrindavan to complex political negotiations in Hastinapur — with wit and wisdom.
Venus, on the other hand, rules love, beauty, and harmony. Krishna's life was full of expressions of love, whether in his deep bond with Radha, his compassion toward devotees, or his efforts to maintain peace before the Kurukshetra war.

Venus also enhances artistic abilities, and Krishna's divine flute-playing symbolizes the joy, creativity, and emotional connection that Venus represents.
When Mercury and Venus work in harmony in a birth chart, they create a personality that is both intelligent and charming, persuasive yet compassionate. People with this combination often have the power to inspire others through words, art, or a graceful presence.
Krishna's life shows that true mastery of Mercury and Venus is not about manipulation or superficial charm, but about using intellect and beauty to guide others toward higher truths. His teachings encourage us to speak with clarity, act with compassion, and find the balance between mind and heart.
In astrology, this blend reminds us that wisdom is most powerful when delivered with kindness, and love is most enduring when guided by truth.

Egg consumption drops in Ballari schools during Shravana month
Ballari: In govt schools in the Ballari district, there was a 20% reduction in the free distribution of eggs during the sacred month of Shravana, as many students opted for bananas instead. The practice of avoiding non-vegetarian food items such as eggs, fish, and meat during Shravana is increasingly evident in educational institutions. Kasturi, the district officer of the Midday Meals Scheme, stated, "This trend shows growth each year. In aided schools and anganwadi centres, a considerable number of children and women express a preference for vegetarian food over eggs during this month." "We adjust the menu according to their preferences. However, in certain areas, parents are opposing the distribution of eggs during the Shravana month. We are not pressuring anyone. Instead, we are providing bananas as a substitute for eggs," she explains. The Ballari district comprises 228 govt and one aided primary school, 402 govt and 41 aided higher primary schools, and 90 govt and 34 aided high schools across five taluks. Among these, 1.5 lakh children from classes 1 to 10 receive midday meals. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Indonesia: New Container Houses (Prices May Surprise You) Container House | Search ads Search Now Undo As per the department's estimates, 20% of children have transitioned from eggs to bananas.
