Pedro Pascal fought a bee for Emma Stone and fans can't cope

The Last of Us star Pedro Pascal played knight in shining armour for Emma Stone on the red carpet at Cannes Film Festival when they were suddenly attacked by a bee.
The stars were being photographed with Austin Butler, 33, to celebrate the premiere of their new movie Eddington, directed by Midsommar and Hereditary mastermind Ari Aster and co-starring Joaquin Phoenix, 50.
However, the trio were soon distracted by the arrival of an inquisitive bee, which honed in on La La Land actress Emma, 36.
Noting the bee's arrival, an alarmed-looking Emma recoiled, leaning into co-star Pedro, 50, as it buzzed around their heads.
Between posing for pictures, co-star Pedro helped to fend off the beast, shooing it away with a playful swat as Austin lightly blew in its general direction.
The moment soon attracted the attention of fans online, who had social media abuzz with talk of Pedro's swift action.
Writing in reaction to the footage acquired by Variety, thirsty fans on X shared their sense of jealousy at Emma's personal bodyguard.
'Oh to be attacked by a bee on the Cannes red carpet so I can hold onto Pedro Pascal for dear life so he can save me,' wrote whatsername94.
'I need Pedro Pascal to save me from a bee just once in my life,' agreed humanndisaster.

Disaster averted, Emma, Pedro and Austin continued to celebrate the premiere of Eddington, which marked their collaboration with horror director Ari Aster.
Set during the COVID-19 pandemic, this modern Western follows a small-town sheriff (played by Beau is Afraid star Joaquin, in his second film with the director) as he faces off against its mayor (Pedro), sparking a parochial feud which threatens to consume the town. More Trending
In the film, Austin plays charismatic local cult leader Vernon Jefferson Peak, while Emma plays the sheriff's wife.
Playing at Cannes on Friday, Eddington received a five-minute standing ovation, reportedly moving star Joaquin to tears.
Garnering 63% on Rotten Tomatoes since its premiere, the film has already divided critics, with some praising its satirical edge, while The Hollywood Reporter described it as 'bloated' and 'self-indulgent.'
Regardless, the film is one of Metro.co.uk's most anticipated Cannes releases – and coming from the man behind the likes of Midsommar and Beau is Afraid, its combination of COVID drama and modern Western is sure to be no less bee-fuddling.

Mariska Hargitay's biological father is seen for the FIRST time since paternity bombshell revealed
Mariska Hargitay revealed a bombshell family secret she has kept hidden for over 30 years in her new documentary about her iconic late mother Jayne Mansfield. Hargitay's documentary, My Mom Jayne, which marks her feature film directorial debut, premiered at the Cannes Film Festival last month. In the film, the Law & Order: Special Victims Unit star revealed that her biological father is not Mickey Hargitay, the man who raised her. The paternity bombshell revealed that former Las Vegas entertainer Nelson Sardelli is her father and he was spotted for the first time since that was made public. Sardelli, 90, was photographed exiting a beige minivan and walking with a cane up to a white iron fence in front of a house. In an interview with Vanity Fair, Hargitay said she went to see Sardelli perform in Atlantic City, New Jersey when she was 30 years old and introduced herself to him as his daughter. Mariska was in the car with her mom during the horrific accident; Mariska was three years old at the time, along with her siblings Miklos, then eight, and Zoltan, then six. The accident took place on US Highway 90 on June 29, 1967 in Biloxi, Mississippi with Jayne, her attorney and partner Sam Brody (who was 40), and the driver (Ronald B. Harrison, 19) in front row with two of her dogs, and her three kids Mariska, Miklos and Zoltan with her other two dogs in the back. Mariska told Vanity Fair she went to see Sardelli perform in Atlantic City when she was 30 years old and introduced herself to him as his daughter, and he told her he'd been 'waiting 30 years for this moment'; Jayne pictured kissing Nelson Sardelli, who is now in his late eighties, also appeared in her documentary alongside his other two daughters, Hargitay's half sisters Giovanna and Pietra. Hargitay told the outlet that she eventually opened up to Sardelli and his daughters after understanding and accepting that her mother returned to Mickey because she knew he would provide a stabler home life for her. She said that she gathered her sisters in Las Vegas for a private screening of the documentary before the premiere and recalled their emotional reactions. 'They just wept and wept and wept. These two women that I love so much — I made them secrets! It's so heartbreaking to me.' In the documentary, Hargitay explained why she was unveiling her family secret now and said that because she is now 61 years old, she felt she could finally tell the truth and didn't have to hide it anymore. 'I grew up where I was supposed to, and I do know that everyone made the best choice for me,' she said. 'I'm Mickey Hargitay's daughter — that is not a lie.' 'This documentary is kind of a love letter to him, because there's no one that I was closer to on this planet,' she said. She explained that she wanted to make the documentary to 'unburden all of us.' Jayne had five kids total - daughter Jayne Marie with first husband Paul Mansfield, three children (Miklos, Zoltan and Mariska) with her second husband Mickey Hargitay - and one son Antonio with third husband Matt Cimber. Jayne, who was born on April 19, 1933, first appeared in Playboy magazine as the February 1955 Playmate of the Month, and multiple other issues after. As an actress, she starred in The Girl Can't Help It, The Wayward Bus, Too Hot to Handle and Promises! Promises!, as well as the Broadway play Will Success Rock Hunter? The Twilight Zone actress Pippa Scott dies aged 90
Pippa Scott, best known for roles in films including The Searchers and Auntie Mame, has died aged 90. Born in Los Angeles in 1935, Scott was the daughter of actress Laura Straub and screenwriter Allan Scott; who famously wrote several musicals for Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers – including Top Hat and Swing Time. Meanwhile her uncle was blacklisted screenwriter Adrian Scott, who was one of the Hollywood Ten blacklisted during the McCarthy era after joining the Communist Party. The actress died on May 2 of congenital heart failure at her home in Santa Monica, with Scott's death confirmed by her daughter Miranda Tollman to The Hollywood Reporter this week. Before pursuing a career in acting, Scott studied landscape architecture at California State Polytechnic University, then going on to study at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London. Her 1956 Broadway debut in Child of Fortune saw her win a Theatre World Award and, soon after, Scott was signed by Warner Bros.
