Strictly staffer claims they were 'offered cocaine by show star' in new scandal
The BBC reality series reportedly launched an external probe to investigate cocaine use by two stars earlier this month, as well as claims that a star was drinking on the show.
In the latest turn of events, a whistleblower who worked behind-the-scenes on the show for a decade until 2023 has said he witnessed 'partying at Elsetree studio after live filming.
The worker, who accuses an unnamed star of offering them cocaine, added that the cast and crew were 'drinking and taking drugs', with bags of white powder suspected to be cocaine found in a smoking area and the men's toilet on two separate occasions.
The incident in which this crew member was offered cocaine occurred at a Blackpool show after-party, all per The Sun.

The source said: 'The main partying is on site at Elstree after filming of the live show has finished. Boozing and drug taking goes on until 3am, sometimes 4am.
'I remember a bag of cocaine was found in the outside smoking area at Elstree and handed in to a senior producer. That person said, 'Leave it on my desk', no eyebrows were raised.
'On another occasion, a small bag of cocaine was found in the male toilets at Elstree. It was widely discussed by people working on the show.
'But in some ways it was seen as quite normal, to find that sort of thing.
'People think they can get away with it.
In a statement responding to the latest allegations, a spokesperson for the national broadcaster said: 'We have clear protocols and policies in place for dealing with any serious complaint raised with us.
'We would always encourage people to speak to us if they have concerns.
In recent reports, the publication claimed a celebrity from the show had said it was 'well known on the show that two stars took cocaine . . . it was talked about widely among the cast'.
This brewing trouble comes just weeks before the popular dancing competition returns to screens for its 23rd season toward the end of September. More Trending
The show faced plenty of issues last year after it was pro dancers Giovanni Pernice and Graziano Di Prima exited amid accusations of bad behaviour from former famous partners Amanda Abbington and Zara McDermott, respectively.
The pair have now been replaced with Alexis Warr and Julian Caillonwhen in a shake-up of the pros line-up.
Meanwhile, fires also had to be put out after last year's contestant, Wynne Evans, was removed from the Strictly Live Tour after making inappropriate sexual comments.
Metro has reached out to the BBC for comment.

Amazon Prime's ‘amazing' new crime thriller jumps to top of streaming charts
The Assassin, which was released on Amazon Prime Video last month, has leapt to the top of the platform's streaming charts. The action thriller stars Keeley Hawes as titular assassin Julie, who reunites with her estranged son (Edward, played by Freddie Highmore) after he tracks her down with questions about her past. The pair soon become entangled in a high-octane, high-stakes conspiracy when her past catches up with her. With a huge target on their backs, mother and son are forced to go on the run, in an ambitious plot Metro's own Sabrina Barr describes as 'Mamma Mia combined with Taken.' Released on July 25, the series earned rave reviews for its 'entertaining action' and shocking twists. This has helped The Assassin to fend off heavy hitters like Clarkson's Farm, The Summer I Turned Pretty and Neighbours in the battle of the UK streaming charts. To view this video please enable JavaScript, and consider upgrading to a web browser that supports HTML5 video As per a report by Flixpatrol, The Assassin has become the most streamed piece of entertainment on Amazon Prime, beating 2023's Barbie and the Eddie Murphy vehicle The Pickup on its journey to supremacy. The Assassin is currently sitting at a 92% 'Fresh' rating on review aggregator Rotten Tomatoes, with Empire Magazine praising its 'cutthroat action' and 'cutting' dynamic between its stars. Elsewhere, The Guardian described it as 'so much fun,' while The Telegraph called it 'Mamma Mia! with a sniper rifle.' While the audience score is more divided at 38%, those who enjoyed the show have responded well to its dark sense of humour and explosive action. 'Super fun. If you liked the tourist you'll like this series. Dark quirky humour with lots of action. This isn't for everyone you'll need to be able to think on your feet to enjoy the ride!' wrote Rotten Tomatoes user Kay M. 'This was fun, exciting and thrilling. I wished it lasted longer,' said Yeremiah A. Sas B chimed in: 'I loved this – the acting is amazing, the characters and situations fairly hilarious.. it's a dark comedy! More please!' Speaking on the blend of comedy and action, Freddie told Metro: '[The humour's] not too broad or too silly, but it complements the seriousness of it and gives it a bit of texture and nuance, and also keeps it quite real,' Freddie outlines. 'The characters are all accessible and approachable and definitely make mistakes. Even with Keeley's character, who's incredibly accomplished at what she does, the show doesn't try to make her impossibly perfect. 'I think a part of that is the sense of humour and that British dose of self-deprecation.' Meanwhile, Line of Duty and Finding Alice star Keeley has weighed in on her turn as the titular assassin, describing herself as 'basically the new Tom Cruise.' More Trending Reacting to the description of her character as a 'perimenopausal James Bond' she told The Observer: 'When I saw that line in the script, I howled with laughter. You even glimpse her popping HRT pills. I don't think I've ever seen that in a drama before. Going into the specifics of her action hero training she revealed: 'I had weapons training. There's a scene where I assemble a sniper rifle in a slick way. It's worryingly easy, actually. Even if you put the components of a rifle in front of me now, a year later, I could probably do it quite quickly. It's a bit like riding a bike.' Disgusted EastEnders fans 'rumble' Joel's revenge on Stacey - but downfall 'sealed'
EastEnders fans believe a spoiler for Monday's episode and a scene last week has revealed how vile teen Joel Marshall targets Stacey Slater, but it could lead to his own downfall Viewers of EastEnders believe a new teaser for the BBC soap has let slip what Joel Marshall does after targeting Stacey Slater. It was clear he had revenge in mind after she put him in his place last week over his vile views and comments about women. Stacey ended up slapping Joel across the face with her cousin Kat Moon barring him from the pub after his remarks aimed at her. But after months of vile behaviour, most of which targeted at women, the character turned on Stacey, not helped by Kat's son Tommy Moon. It comes after Stacey's stalking ordeal not so long ago, with her also posting adult content onto a webcam site. After her stalker Theo attacked her and she realised he was subscribing to her cam posts, she appeared to delete everything, or at least stopped using the site. That's all in the past, or at least it was until someone leaks photos and videos of her from her cam posts this coming week. Last week we saw Tommy tell Joel all about Stacey's ordeal off the back of her posting content. We later saw Joel finding Stacey's profile and pulling a smirk on his face, clearly plotting. Fans now believe they know what he's done, after a preview clip for Monday's episode teased something was about to hit Stacey just as she is feeling like everything is on track. She's shown telling Kathy Beale about how things are going, and how her daughter Lily Slater is returning to Walford that evening. Sharing her excitement, she gets distracted when she notices people looking at her. She's not wrong either, with multiple café customers staring at her and making quiet comments, while also pulling judgemental or awkward faces. Kathy hasn't even noticed and tells Stacey as such, but then we see Tommy and Joel staring at her too from across the market. Joel looks smug, and it's evident he's done something and it's likely linked to what the customers are talking about. Stacey remains unaware though and heads off, but soon she makes a troubling discovery. Stacey is told at some point that her SecretCam photos and videos have been leaked online. Stacey is mortified but immediately works out Joel is likely behind it given their showdown days before. She wastes no time in heading over to confront him, but Joel denies having anything to do with it. As Ross Marshall hurries his son home Joel continues to deny it, and Ross accepts this when he sees his laptop. But fans are convinced Joel is the one to blame given his recent actions and him finding the site last week. They believe this is his revenge against her after she put him in his place. One fan speculated: "Joel's done something from that online adults page she had." Another fan agreed: "He leaks Stacey's photos & videos from her Cam days online," as a third said: "I know he's shared her pics." A further post added: "I knew he was gonna do that from when he found her profile I think Tommy might have helped with that." But could Joel have triggered his own downfall? It's been revealed that Stacey reports Joel to the police and now fans think this could lead to him getting into trouble. One viewer said: "Then he can be charged for that." Another fan wrote: "I mean she'll report him to the police and they'll examine his laptop and find evidence even if he deletes history. Yes? So the incel with curtains will be gone."

Ray Brooks dead: Coronation Street and EastEnders actor who voiced Mr Benn dies
Ray Brooks has died at the age of 86, his family has confirmed. The actor, who is one of the few actors to appear in both Coronation Street and EastEnders, died on Saturday after a short illness, his family told the BBC. He was also the famous voice of Mr Benn, narrating the classic 1970s children's show. The actor's sons Will and Tom shared a touching statement to confirm his death. They said that while their father thought he was best known for his role on Mr Benn, people would be "continually asking him to say the catchphrase 'as if by magic!'". In the cartoon, a character named Mr Benn would find himself entering a new adventure each episode as he dressed up in a magical costume shop. In the statement to the BBC, his family added: "Although only 13 episodes were made, they were repeated twice a year for 21 years." In the soap world, Ray joined the Corrie cobbles in the 1960s, taking up the role as Norman Philips in the long-running ITV soap. Almost 40 years later, he switched allegiances, joining BBC's EastEnders as Joe Macer. His character will be best remembered for murdering his wife Pauline Fowler. but throughout his long career in showbiz, Ray also had a large resume to look back on. After being the male lead in the ground-breaking 1960s BBC drama Cathy Come Home, he later starred in 1980s hit Big Deal. He played the part of Robbie Box and the series before later appearing in Running Wild as the comic lead Max Wild.
