Attestation parade of fifth Agniveer batch of MLIRC in Belagavi held
Belagavi: The fifth batch of Agniveer under the Agnipath scheme witnessed the culmination of training on Thursday. On this occasion, a ceremonial attestation parade with full military traditions was held at the Maratha Light Infantry Regimental Centre (MLIRC), Belagavi.

A total of 659 Agniveers were recognised after their successful completion of 31 weeks of training.
The attestation parade of the Agniveers was reviewed by Brigadier Joydip Mukherjee, commandant of the MLIRC, who applauded the Agniveers for their immaculate turnout and very high standards of drill. The parade was commanded by Agniveer Gajanan Rathod, while Lt Col Digvijay Singh was the parade adjutant.
The Agniveers took the Oath of Affirmation in the presence of the national flag, the regimental flag, and religious holy books in an impressive ceremony witnessed by their parents, serving and retired fraternity of the regiment, dignitaries of Belagavi, cadets of NCC, and the young students of various schools.
The pride with which the Agniveers took the oath made the ceremony even more impressive.
Addressing the newly attested Agniveers, the reviewing officer reminded them of the rich heritage and the glory of the Maratha Light Infantry, as one of the oldest infantry regiments of the
. He also stressed the importance of discipline and physical fitness in a soldier's life. He exuded confidence in the training conducted at the regimental centre and assured that it would stand the young soldiers in good stead before wishing them the very best in their future assignments.
The reviewing officer also awarded medals to the meritorious Agniveers for excelling in different spheres of training. Naik Yashwant Ghadge, Victoria Cross Medal for overall best Agniveer, was awarded to Agniveer Kaple Krishnat.
The attestation parade concluded with a solemn wreath-laying ceremony at the Sharqat War Memorial, to pay respect to the brave hearts of the regiment by the reviewing officer and the Agniveers. The proud parents were also felicitated with the Gaurav Padak to honour them for motivating their wards to serve the nation.

Ladakh Scouts regiment inducts 194 Agniveers in Leh
A passing out parade was held at the Ladakh Scouts Regimental Centre in Leh on Thursday to mark the entry of 194 well-trained Agniveer recruits into the Ladakh Scouts Regiment as Agniveer soldiers. The ceremony conducted in consonance with the highest traditions of the Army and was reviewed by Major General Gurpal Singh, YSM, SM, GOC Uniform Force as the chief guest and was attended by a spectrum of military, civil dignitaries and parents of Agniveers. The young Agniveers, hailing from all regions of Ladakh, participated in the parade and are now ready to serve for the supreme cause of the nation. The reviewing officer congratulated the Agniveers for the parade and urged them to devote their life in service to the nation as proud soldiers of the Army. He also congratulated the proud parents for having motivated their wards to join the regiment and complemented the Ladakh Scouts personnel for their outstanding performance in all spheres and their exceptional valour and contributions. He exhorted the young soldiers to continue to strive hard in pursuit of excellence in all spheres and take a solemn vow to defend the sovereignty of the Nation against all odds in the true spirit signified by the ethos of the Army. The young Agniveers were awarded medals for their outstanding performance during the training. Gaurav Padak was also presented to the parents who are either serving or have served in the Army and whose wards joined the Regiment as Agniveers.

Agniveers' day to shine at the Artillery Centre
HYDERABAD: The Artillery Centre in Hyderabad held the attestation ceremony for Agniveer batch (05/24) at the Palani Parade Ground on Thursday. The event was reviewed by Brigadier Rahul Thapliyal, Sena Medal, commandant and chief executive instructor of the Artillery Centre. According to a release, the day began with a solemn tribute at the War Memorial, where Agniveers, instructors and senior officials paid homage to fallen heroes.
