From today, gamers will find that some of the game's achievements and trophies are impossible to unlock.
Players will no longer be able to earn Head-to-Head (win a Head to Head game in an online league) and Bragging Rights (win the Super Bowl in an online league), according to GameRant.
So if you haven't yet earned 100 per cent in the game by 30 June, you unfortunately never will.
While it wasn't the most popular Madden NFL title, the players still making progress with the game will have to opt for something newer.
Although, it is not advised you hop to Madden NFL 22, as EA plans to shut down the successor in October 2025.
EA has announced plans to shutdown 14 games this year.
The vast majority of the closures are already complete - including today's loss of Madden NFL 21.
But here's the full list:
Rory McIlroy PGA Tour - January 16
The Simpsons: Tapped Out - January 24
Blood & Glory Immortals - January 29
Contract Killer: Sniper - January 29
Deer Hunter Classic - January 29
Dino Hunter: Deadly Shores - January 29
Eternity Warriors 4 - January 29
Frontline Commando 2 - January 29
Frontline Commando: D-Day - January 29
UFC 3 - February 17
EA Sports UFC Mobile 2 - March 13
NCAA 14 - March 13
Madden NFL 21 - June 30
Madden NFL 22 - October 20
Some of the titles that have shut down in 2025 are now either completely inaccessible, or have only lost their online multiplayer functionality.
Madden NFL 22 will have its online features blocked later this year.
Fortunately, a new Madden NFL game will be released this summer - following on from those also released in 2023, 2024, and 2025.

All The Clues Taylor Swift Will Play The 2026 Super Bowl

Taylor Swift broke the internet when she announced details about her 12th studio album, The Life Of A Showgirl, after months of hints. Ahead of its release on 3 October, the star thrilled Swifties as she unveiled the record's artwork and the track listing. And now fans are convinced she's got another big surprise up her sleeve – plans to play the coveted Super Bowl Halftime Show next year. Taylor, who's dating NFL star and Kansas City Chiefs player Travis Kelce, has yet to add this career milestone to her huge list of accolades. She has dropped some 'Easter eggs', teasing at this potential gig, which will take place at the Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara. Here are all the clues that Taylor could play the 2026 Super Bowl aka Super Bowl LX… Taylor Swift ©Erika Goldring/TAS24/Getty Images for TAS Rights Management Taylor, 35, discussed her new 'obsession' with baking sourdough as she spoke about her new album on Travis and Jason Kelce's New Heights podcast. 'Sourdough has taken over my life in a huge way,' she said. 'It's become a huge, huge factor. I'm just, like, always baking bread and texting my friends and being like, 'Can I send you some bread? I need some feedback. Do you like this one better than you liked the other one? Like, I did the rise a little differently'.' But Swifties reckon the singer is cooking up more than just bread because Super Bowl LX takes places at the San Francisco 49ers' home stadium and their team mascot is none other than Sourdough Sam, a bearded gold miner who shares a name with Taylor's favourite new baked treat. Coincidence? The numbers 47 and 60 have been referenced a lot recently during Taylor's podcast appearance and they're both significant. She thanked Jason for 'screaming for, like, 47 seconds' at the start of the episode, which got sleuthing Swifties wondering if the number 47 'could be a connection' to the 47th stop on her record-breaking Eras tour, which was at the Levi's Stadium. Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce ©Taylor said that she thinks about bread '60% of the time now'. The number 60 could refer to the Super Bowl, as next year will mark its 60th championship game. The singer has already admitted to loving numerological Easter eggs. 'I love numerology. I love math stuff, I love dates, that stuff I find really fun,' she said. 'My favourite one of those was when I was giving an honorary doctorate from NYU and I made the commencement speech. And I put so many lyrical Easter eggs in that speech that when the Midnights album came out after that, the fans were like, 'The whole speech was an Easter egg.' And that for me is really fun because they find it fun.' Levi's, who the stadium is named after following their sponsorship with the San Francisco 49ers, appears to be leaning into all the speculation too. The world-famous denim brand has posted a TikTok showing someone swapping the iconic red Levi's tag on a pair of jeans for an orange glittery one – much like the colour theme of Taylor's Showgirl era. 'Subtle swap for the big day,' Levi's said. Now what could they be referring to? I've found the ‘best summer job' that's made me £2k – I don't even do the work, but it's not for everyone

The student claims the items 'sell straight away' PAWS AND CLAWS I've found the 'best summer job' that's made me £2k – I don't even do the work, but it's not for everyone Click to share on X/Twitter (Opens in new window) Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window) A SAVVY teenager has revealed how she raked in a hefty £2,000 thanks to her unusual side hustle on Vinted. Ella Woodland, 18, from Droitwich Spa, Worcestershire, has described it as ''the best summer job in the world'' - and she doesn't even do the work. Ella was curious to see whether her eight pet rodents had any artistic qualities and decided to let them play with paint in February. The teenager initially got the idea to explore their creative side after seeing a Facebook creator, TooGoods Tiny Paws, selling her rats' artwork online. To nurture their talent, she bought watercolour and kids' paints and encouraged her rats to run over them, using their paws to 'paint' on mini canvases. The student, who is currently waiting to start a degree in clinical psychology at the University of Worcester in September, now sells the unusual prints on Vinted. Prices started at £10 and demand has seen Ella increase her monthly sales from £80 to £500. Since taking to Vinted in March, Ella has made a staggering £2,000 thanks to her rats - Gubler, Rumple and Reid, aged one, and Hotch, Morgan, Luke, Rossi and Gideon, six months. The majority of the earnings goes towards the rats' care - including a £250 premium cage, tunnels and food mix with pasta, cereal and mealworms. However, Ella is also using the money to save up for driving lessons. Ella said: ''I didn't expect it to take off - I just posted a few pictures on Vinted and now it's my summer job. Why the 3-minute rule is essential when shopping on Vinted & how woman made £450 using it ''They just walk around [canvases] in kids' paint - then I sell them for £10 each with a mini easel. ''It just randomly blew up one day - it's a win/win because I can save up for a car and lessons to drive, and the rats have so much fun running around and eating lots of baby food. ''I plan to keep it going as long as the rats are alive.'' She went on: ''I started putting them in a little playpen I'd bought for them. They walk around in the paint, which is laid on the floor. ''Sometimes I have to put my finger in a jar of baby food and let them follow it around, so they can walk around the canvas. Do you need to pay tax on items sold on Vinted? QUICK facts on tax from the team at Vinted... The only time that an item might be taxable is if it sells for more than £6,000 and there is profit (sells for more than you paid for it). Even then, you can use your capital gains tax-free allowance of £3,000 to offset it. Generally, only business sellers trading for profit (buying goods with the purpose of selling for more than they paid for them) might need to pay tax. Business sellers who trade for profit can use a tax-free allowance of £1,000, which has been in place since 2017. More information here: ''The paint varies between watercolours and kids' paint, like poster paint.'' In February this year, the student began selling the mini-easels on Vinted for £10 each. S For the first few weeks, the sales were slow, with Ella only able to shift two to three easels per week - making £80 total in February. But just one month later, Ella says a stranger posted a picture of her rats' paintings on X, garnering seven million views - and since then, she's taken the marketplace by storm. ''I put 20 paintings on Vinted a week,'' she said. ''They each sell straight away - people really love them. ''It's become a summer job for me, and I'll continue to have it as my part-time job when I start uni. ''People are really positive - aside from a couple of people telling me how much rats scare them, I've only ever had good feedback. ''One of the reviews even said, 'Gubler's talent is unlimited'.''

The best-selling new game of 2025 in Europe is not Monster Hunter Wilds

New sales data has revealed Europe's best-selling games of the year, with the number one spot going to a 2024 title. We're more than halfway through the year and you already know what we think the best video games of 2025 have been so far. But which ones have sold the most? If we're talking worldwide, that accolade goes to Monster Hunter Wilds. While sales have slowed down over the last several months, it has still sold more than 10 million copies, after an early February launch. However, new sales data shows that the picture in Europe is somewhat different, revealing that a different title has beaten Capcom's smash hit, although the best seller overall is an older game from 2024. According to sales data by European charts company GSD, as shared with The Game Business, Europe's most successful new release of the year is Ubisoft's Assassin's Creed Shadows, which launched a month after Monster Hunter Wilds in March. Although Ubisoft has been reticent to share exact sales figures (only saying the game has reached more than five million players), it's always seemed like Ubisoft is happy with Assassin's Creed Shadows' performance. In the company's report for the 2025 fiscal year, Ubisoft said the game had 'the second highest day one sales revenue in franchise history – second only to Assassin's Creed Valhalla – setting a new record for Ubisoft's day one performance on the PlayStation digital store.' Sign up to the GameCentral newsletter for a unique take on the week in gaming, alongside the latest reviews and more. Delivered to your inbox every Saturday morning. Ubisoft must be relieved considering Assassin's Creed Shadow's pre-release period was plagued by controversy, regarding the inclusion of Yasuke, a black samurai, as one of the playable protagonists. Despite so much online outrage directed towards the game (to the point where Ubisoft felt it had to introduce new measures to protect its staff from abuse), clearly most people didn't care and just wanted to play the new Assassin's Creed. While Ubisoft did offer a bizarre semi-apology to try and placate dissenters, it's very hard to imagine that made any difference. More Trending All that said, Assassin's Creed Shadows is not the best-selling game in Europe altogether. That spot belongs to EA Sports FC 25, which isn't that surprising as the top-seller is usually a game from the previous year, and usually either FIFA/EA Sports FC or Call Of Duty. EA Sports FC 25 (EA) Assassin's Creed Shadows (Ubisoft) Grand Theft Auto 5 (Rockstar) Red Dead Redemption 2 (Rockstar) Hogwarts Legacy (Warner Bros) Split Fiction (EA) Monster Hunter Wilds (Capcom) Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 (Activision Blizzard) Mario Kart World (Nintendo) (digital sales data unavailable) Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 (Plaion) The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered (Bethesda) Star Wars Battlefront 2 (EA) Elden Ring: Nightreign (Bandai Namco) It Takes Two (EA) Grand Theft Auto Online (Rockstar) NBA 2K25 (2K Games) F1 25 (EA) Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Siege (Ubisoft) Mario Kart 8: Deluxe (Nintendo) (digital sales data unavailable) Battlefield 1 (EA) Despite this success, EA Sports FC 25 has reportedly been something of a flop, at least by the standards of the series. At the beginning of the year, EA admitted the game's sales had underperformed, which led to copious job cuts. GSD reports that overall spending on consoles and PC in Europe has dropped by over 2%, while overall unit sales have dropped by 9% – something GSD attributes to the 8% increase in the average selling price of games. That said, digital spending still increased by 8% (again, due to price increases) while physical games spending dropped by 16%.
