Amazon reduces price of ‘stylish' and ‘powerful' £100 smartwatch to £23
Great news for tech fans: Amazon has slashed the price of an 'impressive' smartwatch that customers describe as 'stylish and functional.' While the online giant's recent Prime Day sale may officially be over, it has left a treasure trove of bargains still available.
The Soudorv smartwatch has plummeted from its original £99.99 price tag to £23.74. This timepiece boasts an extensive array of capabilities, including 3D full touch technology, step counting, stroke monitoring, sleep tracking, alarm functionality, sedentary reminders, remote photography control, and music management.
Wearers can also conduct and receive phone calls, record conversations, and monitor weather conditions, reports the Daily Record. The device doubles as a fitness companion, offering over 100 exercise modes, magnetic charging, app notification alerts, and extended battery performance.
For shoppers happy to avoid the big names of smart watches like Apple and Samsung, there are plenty of good deals available currently. Shoppers can snap up the Reflex Active Series 12 Smartwatch for £29.95 from Currys. Otherwise, H. Samuel has the Sekonda Flex Rose Gold Tone Bracelet Smartwatch for £65, while Argos has the Fitbit Charge 6 Fitness Tracker for £99.
Meanwhile, the Amazon timepiece has garnered glowing feedback from users, earning a stellar 4.9-star rating. One satisfied customer commented: "Stylish and functional. Impressive smartwatch with great features at a great price."
A second reviewer said: "This is a great watch for daily use. It is light, comfortable, and looks nice on the wrist. The screen is clear, and the touch response is smooth and effective. I use it to track my steps, monitor my heart rate, and assess my sleep quality. It's also waterproof, so I don't have to take it off when washing my hands.
"The battery lasts a few days, which is very good. It connects easily to my phone, and I can see messages and calls right on the watch. It's good for men and women. It's simple, smart and very useful for the price."
Another customer said: " Sleek and powerful. This smartwatch combines sleek design with powerful features like fitness tracking, notifications, and heart rate monitoring. The touchscreen is responsive, and the battery lasts well for daily use. It's a great companion for staying organised and active on the go."
However, not all customers were completely satisfied. One unimpressed buyer said: "The strap broke after three weeks, so it's now unusable. Can't send it back as it's a week after the return date."
Another customer, while generally happy, did encounter a hiccup: "Only minor issue was syncing it with the app at first, but it's been smooth since."
Despite these issues, many continued to sing the praises of the watch. A satisfied shopper commented: "This ladies' smartwatch fitness tracker is easy to use and looks beautiful. It helps track your steps, heart rate, sleep, and more to keep you healthy.
"The design is simple and stylish, perfect for everyday wear. The battery lasts a long time, and the app is easy to understand. Overall, it's a great choice for women who want to stay fit and look good too."
Another satisfied customer said: "Very nice watch. I am amazed by this watch. It's packed with amazing features, and the build quality is exceptional. I am really happy with it. The readings are pretty accurate, and the battery life is so good."

Tesco shoppers have less than a week to earn 1,000 'bonus' Clubcard points
Clubcard users will need to act fast. Tesco shoppers can earn even more Clubcard points with one neat trick. However, they have less than one week left to ensure they don't miss out. Those who are signed up to the supermarket's popular loyalty scheme can earn points on their shopping, with a voucher worth £5 being made up of 500 Clubcard points. These vouchers can then be used to save money on any future shops both in store and online, or they can be doubled in value when redeemed against one of the retailer's Rewards Partners. However, Tesco is now offering its customers an extra 1,000 'bonus' points, worth £10 of vouchers, when they choose to spend their vouchers with one of their 'Days Out' partner companies. This means that families can earn the extra points and book a fun trip at a range of popular places such as Blackpool Pleasure Beach, The London Eye, Chessington World of Adventures, and more. It is worth noting that the incentive will only be available until Tuesday, July 29, with the extra 1,000 points being credited to the eligible Clubcard account by Sunday, October 19. To qualify for the extra £10 worth of points, members will need to exchange a minimum voucher worth £5 for a Days Out Clubcard Rewards Partner code either through the Tesco website or app. Shoppers don't even need to redeem their extra points on a day out, as one Martin Lewis Money Saving Expert has advised that bargain hunters don't need to book a day out to reap the benefits. In the latest edition of the MSE newsletter, a financial expert has explained that, once the extra 1,000 points are transferred to the Clubcard account on October 19, they can be used to get £10 off a food shop. They can also be used to get £20 off with any of the supermarket's Rewards Partners, just not the 'Days Out' partners. This means they can still be redeemed against the likes of Disney+, RAC, Virgin Atlantic and much more. As is the case with all Clubcard vouchers issued, they will be valid for two years from the date they were issued. However, shoppers looking to save them up can extend them when they make a small purchase on the Tesco Clubcard website, with the remaining balance being credited back as points. These will then be reissued as new vouchers when a new batch is issued after the two year expiry date, For example, a 50p purchase on a £10 voucher will then be reissued as £9.50. Tesco's Clubcard scheme currently allows for its members to earn one point for every £1 spent in store and online, or for every £2 spent on fuel at one of its forecourt. A minimum of 150 points is needed to earn a voucher worth £1.50. First launched in 1995, the largest UK supermarket's point-based scheme is now said to be used by 20million households across the country. For more information on how to earn the extra 1,000 points with a Days Out Rewards Partner, shoppers can visit the Tesco website.

Amazon reduces ‘unbelievably sharp' kitchen gadget from £30 to £17 – it's 6-in-1 and will SLASH meal prep time
AMAZON shoppers are rushing to snap up a time-saving kitchen gadget that's been slashed by 43%. The retail giant has reduced this 6-in-1 vegetable chopper - which has over 24,000 five-star reviews - from £29.99 to just £16.99. 2 Fullstar 6-in-1 Vegetable Chopper, £29.99 £16.99 BUY FROM AMAZON The Fullstar vegetable chopper has been purchased over 5,000 times in July and is an 'Amazon's Choice' product, which are well-priced, highly-rated items with fast shipping. The last great kitchen deal we spotted on Amazon was on a Ninja knife block during the Prime Day sale. This deal, by contrast, is available to everyone, not just Prime subscribers. Perfect for summer salad season, this handy little chopper contains six stainless steel blades, a finger guard, and a cleaning brush. These six blades include a fine dicer, a medium dicer, a grater, a shredder, a julienne (ribbon) blade, and a slicer. That means you can grate cheese, dice an onion, julienne a courgette, and plenty more - this is a great chance to spice up and speed up your mealtimes. Whether you're trying to jazz up a plate of veggies for your kids or you're struggling with old, dulled kitchen knives, this Amazon deal looks like a smart purchase. The blades are not only extra-sharp (hence the safety features and finger guard) but they're strong and durable too, made of 420J stainless steel. The extra-hard ABS plastic container can take use after use, not cracking under all the vegetables being chopped, no matter how thick or coarse. The chopper would also suit those who are getting less able to cook and be nimble in the kitchen, as the device requires 'only a little pressure to chop' and creates less mess and washing up in the meantime. Amazon shoppers have already taken to the review section to rave about this smart chopper, praising its functionality, ease of use, and value for money. Many customers have commented on how efficient it made cooking and meal prep. 'If you want to save time in the kitchen, you need this! It's a great buy,' writers one buyer. Another says: 'This contraption is AMAZING! It saves so much time in the kitchen.' Others have loved the impact it's had on kids and fussy eaters, with one parent commenting: '[It] converted my children to salad eaters. They don't normally eat salad, but they enjoyed this device so much they ate large plates of [it] for dinner after!' This isn't the only Amazon deal the Sun Shopping team has written about recently. Anyone look for iPhone charging should look at an 'ultra-slim' Magsafe power bank slashed from £160 to £20. Those looking for protection against the sun and rain in this summer shouldn't miss a garden gazebo that's been cut by 21%.

No plans to get Big Tech to pay digital law compliance costs, EU tech chief says
BRUSSELS, July 23 (Reuters) - The European Commission will not ask Alphabet (GOOGL.O), opens new tab, Amazon (AMZN.O), opens new tab, Apple (AAPL.O), opens new tab, ByteDance, Meta Platforms (META.O), opens new tab and Microsoft (MSFT.O), opens new tab to pay the cost of monitoring their compliance with a new digital law, the EU tech chief said on Wednesday. Germany and European Parliament lawmakers have lobbied for a supervisory fee to be levied on Big Tech to help EU antitrust regulators better enforce the Digital Markets Act. The European Commission Executive Vice-President Henna Virkkunen, who is responsible for the technology sector, said rules were always under review and she would monitor developments, but had no plans to make the companies pay despite the enormous volume of monitoring work. "So it's always, of course, there is this possibility, but now we are not having any new proposal on that," Virkkunen told Reuters in an interview. The landmark legislation, which has been enforced since 2023, sets out a list of dos and don'ts aimed at curbing the six companies' power and giving consumers more choice. The group of Big Tech companies, which includes were picked because they provide a core platform service for business users. Proponents of a DMA supervisory fee said it should be similar to the levy imposed on big online platforms subject to another piece of legislation called the Digital Services Tax that requires companies to do more to police content on their sites. The digital services supervisory fee amounts to 0.05% of a company's annual worldwide net income.
