Ole Miss vs. Michigan State picks and predictions
Prediction
Michigan State 75, Ole Miss 68
PASS.
The Spartans (-175) are just a little too expensive to consider here while the Rebels (+145) aren't worth a play either as they aren't predicted to pull off the Sweet 16 upset.
BET MICHIGAN STATE -3.5 (-110).
As a favorite, the Spartans have been on a roll. They have gone 7-1 ATS in their last 8 games as a favorite and 19-9 ATS on the season in that position. Michigan State has a similar offense and a far better defense which should help propel it to cover as well.
The Rebels are playing well too, but they lost 4 of their last 6 games to close out the regular season, including a 10-point home loss to the Mississippi State Bulldogs. They have gone just 4-6 ATS in their last 10 games. Ole Miss also drew an Iowa State side without its second-best scoring option, so it'll have a much more difficult challenge Friday evening.
Take the red-hot Spartans and back MICHIGAN STATE -3.5 (-110).
BET UNDER 144.5 (-110).
The stakes are high, and the defense should be intense. The Rebels have allowed 64 or fewer points in 2 of their last 3 games, including giving up just 62 points in the SEC Tournament to the Auburn Tigers, the NCAA Tournament's top overall seed.
Michigan State, which is 11-24 O/U on the season, has allowed just 64 or fewer points in 4 of its last 5 contests. It ranks 171st in adjusted tempo as well, so the Tom Izzo-led team doesn't push the pace often.
Considering those trends, back UNDER 144.5 (-110).

TKO Group Gains After Guggenheim Lifts Price Target on UFC Media Deal
TKO Group Holdings (TKO, Financials) rose Tuesday after Guggenheim increased its price target to $205 from $200, citing the financial impact of a new UFC media rights agreement with Paramount. The target hike came the same day the stock closed at $186.02, up 10.13% over the past week. Warning! GuruFocus has detected 7 Warning Sign with TKO. The seven-year deal, set to begin in 2026, will see all UFC numbered events and Fight Nights stream on Paramount+, with select events simulcast on CBS. The agreement carries an annual average value of $1.1 billion, including standard escalators, and grants roughly two minutes of advertising inventory per hour for each event. Guggenheim's Curry Baker raised the firm's 2026 UFC media rights forecast to $920 million from $890 million, while increasing OIBDA estimates by $30 million. The firm noted that cash payments are weighted toward later years in the contract. The deal prompted other analyst actions. Wolfe Research boosted its target to $211, BofA Securities to $210, and Goldman Sachs to $202, all maintaining Buy ratings. UBS kept its Buy rating with a $164 target, while Morgan Stanley reiterated Equalweight at $165. Analysts pointed to higher expected free cash flow, expanded distribution, and stronger long-term fundamentals. With both its WWE and UFC contracts renewed, TKO is positioned to focus on execution, new combat sports opportunities, and potential capital returns. Investors will be watching revenue recognition timing and operational synergies from the updated agreements. This article first appeared on GuruFocus.

Former Wisconsin basketball star appeals to Badgers fans with NFL fandom
Former Wisconsin basketball star John Tonje continues to ingratiate himself with the Badger fanbase, even after joining the Utah Jazz as a second-round pick in the latest NBA draft. Tonje, who is on the short list of recent Wisconsin basketball greats despite spending just one year with the program, took to X on Tuesday to share the following: "Never had a football team growing up, but I went to Wisconsin, so I think I'm a Packers fan." Of course, not all Wisconsin basketball fans are also Green Bay Packers fans. However, given Wisconsin basketball's place in the state's larger sports ecosystem, that dual fandom is quite common. Tonje's play already did the heavy lifting with the fanbase during the season. Now playing in the NBA, he still maintains a connection to Wisconsin and the Badger fanbase. The All-American wing began his college basketball career at Colorado State back in 2019. He played four years for the Rams, headlined by per-game averages of 14.6 points, 4.7 rebounds and 1.3 assists as a senior in 2022-23. The Omaha, Nebraska, native then transferred to Missouri for his fifth year, though he missed nearly the entire season due to injury. Finally, Tonje joined the Badgers for his final collegiate season in 2024-25. He delivered one of the greatest seasons in program history, averaging 19.6 points, 5.3 rebounds and 1.8 assists and finishing just eight points shy of Frank Kaminsky's single-season scoring record. That record would have been his had the Badgers defeated BYU in the second round of the NCAA Tournament. Tonje, who recently concluded the NBA Summer League session with the Jazz, is now looking to make his mark at the professional level. His connection to Wisconsin fans was already strong after his record season with the Badgers. Once the NFL season starts, he can also now share the Packer fan experience. White House to host cage fight, UFC boss reveals
The White House is to play host to a mixed martial arts bout on 4 July next year, the day the United States marks the 250th anniversary of its founding, UFC boss Dana White said on Tuesday. President Donald Trump has been a regular guest at the often-bloody contests, where fighters punch, kick and grapple with their opponent in a no-holds-barred battle to submission or knockout. Bringing the brutal combat sport to the centre of US political power will mark a historic first. 'It is definitely going to happen,' White, a high-profile supporter of the US president, told CBS television. 'I talked to him last night - 'him' being the president - and I'm flying out there at the end of this month, and I'm going to sit down and walk him through all the plans and the renderings, and we're going to start deciding what he wants and doesn't want.' Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) is the largest and most successful organisation in the burgeoning world of MMA, a blend of martial arts disciplines like jiu-jitsu, kickboxing, boxing and wrestling. Bouts take place in an eight-sided ring - dubbed 'The Octagon' - bounded by a chainlink fence. With few exceptions - like eye-gouging - male and female fighters are allowed to employ almost any technique to attack their opponent. Fights often end with a prone fighter being pummelled in the face as they lie on the bloodied floor, before the referee steps in to stop the action. The shaven-headed White, who has regularly spoken warmly of Trump as both a friend and a political leader, said the president's daughter would be involved in organising the Independence Day spectacle at the White House. 'When (Trump) called me and asked me to do it, he said: 'I want Ivanka in the middle of this,'' White told CBS, whose parent company Paramount has just signed a $7.7 billion streaming deal with UFC. White took over the UFC in 2001 when it was a small, loss-making organisation, shepherding it into one of the fastest-growing sports promotion companies in the world. The sport's popularity with young men - a key demographic in the 2024 US election - and Trump's long association with the UFC, have made the president a regular fixture at some of its more high-profile events, where he is greeted like a rock star. Its brutal nature and high injury rate mean the sport is controversial, with doctors decrying the potential for brain damage amongst fighters who are repeatedly hit in the head, though it has gained increasing mainstream acceptance in recent years. During this weekend's main UFC 319 event, South Africa's middleweight champion Dricus du Plessis will fight Russian Khamzat Chimaev in Chicago.
