Sky has revealed a number of "permanent" channel closures, and a few swaps too.
For instance, several Sky channels are reverting back from temporary changes over the Easter weekend.
That includes Sky The Hobbit (on channel 303) moving back to Sky Hits.
And Sky Harry Potter (previously channel 306) will once again become Sky Family.
Both of those swaps are due to take place today – Tuesday, April 22.
Sky has also confirmed a temporary rebranding of Sky Adventure to Apocalyptic HD, also going live today.
Sadly, TV fans are set to see three channels closing, all of which are variants of Pop Max.
The kid-friendly TV channel is being killed off after 17 years on air.
It means your Sky TV guide will be losing Pop Max (615), Pop Max HD (215), and Pop max+1 (628).

TRY THESE SKY TRICKS!
Got Sky Q? There are some handy tricks worth knowing about...
Find your lost TV remote
If you can't find your Sky Q remote, don't panic.
Just press the Sky Q logo on the front of your TV box.
It's actually a button that will trigger your TV remote's built-in ringer.
You'll get 30 seconds of beeping to find where you've dropped it. Hint: it's probably under the sofa cushion.
Search movies by quotes
You might have already used voice search for controlling TV playback – but your remote's microphone has another clever trick.
It turns out that you can say movie quotes into the remote and Sky will find the film for you.
This is handy if you can't remember the name of a top movie or show.
Here's a list of movie quotes to try on Sky.
Save lost recordings
Have you ever deleted something you'd recorded on Sky, only to regret it later?
Or maybe someone in your family removed something without telling you – sparking a massive row.
Don't panic: you can get them back.
Just go to Recordings > Manage > Deleted and then simply hit Undelete on the item that you want to resurrect.
If you do that, it'll return to your Recordings section as good as new.

And there could still be more changes to come.
Sky typically only announces its TV channel plans for the week ahead.
So there could be a few stragglers due to appear at the end of the month that are yet to be announced.
WHY DOES SKY SWAP TV CHANNELS?
Sky makes changes to the TV guide every month, so the April changes aren't a big surprise.

Channel changes can affect Sky Q, Sky Glass, and Sky Stream

Changing the TV guide keeps things feeling fresh for viewers.
For instance, Sky will often rebrand channels around specific events or bank holidays.
And sometimes Sky will permanently rebrand a channel because of changing interests.
TV channels can close down for a host of reasons.
It might be that Sky simply no longer thinks it's worth offering a channel.
Or the channel owners might have decided to close down operations, or revoke access for Sky specifically.
Sky usually publishes its upcoming TV guide changes every week, so keen telly fans can stay in the loop.

But 30 new singles have taken part in the experiment in the hopes of finding their perfect match. ‌ And of course they are secluded in their own isolation pods as they "date" one another in the search for their soulmate. The contestants will not meet face to face until they decide whether they have a strong enough bond to take their relationship to the next step and become engaged. ‌ The first four episodes have returned with a bang, but with the edited scenes, fans may be wondering just how long the contestants would spend in the pods and how long they actually spend together before saying 'I love you' and moving their relationship on. In one snap, the question "how long do contestants spend in the pods?" was asked. ‌ And the answer may come as a surprise to fans as it reads: "The couples date intensely for approximately 10 days, often spending hours in deep conversation during each take." Although allowed to ask about appearances, contestants are encouraged to "keep the focus on emotional connection". And fans were quick to share their replies as one person wrote: "Omg bravo to whoever on your social media team made this post! These are the questions I have always wondered about. Would also love to see where they sleep and know more about how they report out/rank who they want to see again." ‌ Another added: "Appreciate this post! Would love to know why there are people we never see except in group settings. It would be nice to know a little about them other than their name and occupation." A third simply replied: "10 days!!!" A fourth commented: "Hahahaha… madddddddd. Would have loved to see how their love unfolded for real." Love Is Blind UK series two will comprise 10 episodes altogether, making it slightly shorter than last year's 12-episode series. British acting legend new frontrunner to play Voldemort in Harry Potter reboot

A new name has emerged as the favourite to play Lord Voldemort in the Harry Potter TV reboot. HBO has already revealed the three young actors who will play Harry, Hermione and Ron, following in the footsteps of Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson and Rupert Grint. Meanwhile, John Lithgow is set to play headmaster Albus Dumbledore, I May Destroy You star Paapa Essiedu will be Severus Snape, and Nick Frost has been cast as Hagrid. But Potterheads are still waiting to find out who will star as the new Voldemort. The current favourite to take on the role is Matthew Macfadyen, according to Online Betting Guide. They put the Succession star at 1/1 odds, in news that comes shortly after the acclaimed actor was cast to play Voldemort in a new Harry Potter audiobook series. The first of the seven full-cast audiobooks, Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone, will be released by Audible on November 4, followed by Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets on December 16. Meanwhile, former Doctor Who star Matt Smith and Marvel alum Paul Bettany are also tipped for the role of Voldemort in HBO's Harry Potter, both of whom enjoy 3/1 odds. Coming in behind them is Peaky Blinders' Cillian Murphy at 4/1, who previously had something of an edge after the original Voldemort actor, Ralph Fiennes, gave him his blessing. During an interview on Watch What Happens Live, Fiennes said: 'Cillian is a fantastic actor. That's a wonderful suggestion. I would be all in favour of Cillian. Yeah.' Who do you think would be the best Voldemort? Tom Hiddleston is also in the running, with odds of 5/1 — though he was previously the favourite for the role. No stranger to playing a baddie, Hiddleston is probably best known as Marvel's impish Loki. Senior TV Reporter Rebecca Cook shares her take… Tom Hiddleston's tenure as Loki in the Marvel franchise is riddled (get it) with moments proving he has a strong Voldemort performance in him. Think back to when he went full panto villain at Comic-Con in 2013, emerging from the dark with the audience eating out of the palm of his hand. He's certainly capable of playing a charismatic villain – but there's the risk his charm may soften Voldemort's edges. After all, who didn't end up secretly loving Loki, even before we were meant to? We want someone who's truly terrifying to play Voldemort. Hairs upright on the back of your neck type of thing. Perhaps an actor like Idris Elba would be a better fit, admittedly not currently in the conversation, but with a commanding presence and The Wire's Stringer Bell as proof he knows how to play a complicated villain. The show's confirmed cast, which includes Janet McTeer as Professor McGonagall, Katherine Parkinson as Molly Weasley, and Bel Powley as Petunia Dursley, have been subject to immense scrutiny already. Especially as Harry Potter creator (and the new HBO series' executive producer) JK Rowling's comments about the trans community have caused backlash from some groups. In a recent interview, The Crown's Bertie Carvel, who will star as Minister for Magic Cornelius Fudge, declined to discuss the author but did reflect on his future in the show. 'I am coming at it with a really open mind. Whether I come back [after the first series] probably depends on what the fans think. I mean, I'll be furious if it's not an amazing part.' More Trending Meanwhile, Jason Isaacs, who played Lucius Malfoy in the original Harry Potter films, has defended the casting of Paapa Essiedu as Snape after he faced racist backlash on social media. 'I've seen some people online who are being rude about him. What they're being is racist,' he said in an interview with Collider. The Harry Potter TV show will stream exclusively on Max in 2027.
