Man dies in Lytham crash after being hit by car

A man in his 80s has died after he was knocked down by a car.Lancashire Police said the pensioner was involved in a collision with a Bentley Continental in Station Road, Lytham, on Friday morning, and died later after suffering serious leg and chest injuries."Despite best efforts of emergency services, we can now confirm that he has tragically passed away following the incident," the force said.An investigation into the crash, which happened at about 07:20 BST, is in its "early stages" and anyone with information or dash cam footage should contact police.
