Crown Prince Hands Saudi Cup Trophy to ‘Forever Young'
Upon his arrival, the Crown Prince was received by Governor of Riyadh Region Prince Faisal bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz, Chairman of the Equestrian Authority and the Jockey Club of Saudi Arabia (JCSA) Prince Bandar bin Khalid bin Faisal bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Governor of Riyadh Region Prince Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Abdulaziz, and Board Member of the JCSA and technical committees Chairman Prince Abdullah bin Khalid bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz.
The royal anthem was played before the race began. Participating horses then moved from the saddling area to the parade ring, where all the competing jockeys were present.
Following the commencement of the ninth race for the Saudi Cup, the Crown Prince proceeded to the presentation podium and congratulated Susumu Fujita, the representative of the winning horse Forever Young, who lifted the Saudi Cup trophy.
The Crown Prince also extended his congratulations to the horse's trainer, Yoshito Yahagi, and jockey Ryusei Sakai, both of whom received a horse statuette and a jockey's helmet. Commemorative photos were taken to mark the occasion.
Several princes, ministers, and high-ranking officials from the Kingdom and abroad attended the event.

Racing returns to King Khalid Racecourse in Taif
TAIF: Racing returns to Saudi Arabia this week with race days on Friday and Saturday as the Taif Summer Racing Season gets underway at King Khalid Racecourse. For the latest updates, follow us @ArabNewsSport Top quality horses have been declared, including Muqtahem and Honky Tonk Man, and the competitors include a number last seen flying the Saudi flag on Saudi Cup weekend. The top Thoroughbred ranks, from 2-year-olds to older horses, will be campaigned toward the Taif Cups series as well as the Okaz Cup for older horses, carrying a purse of SR700,000, and the SR500,000 National Day Cup. The very best juvenile contenders will work their way toward the JCSA's 3-year-old program in Riyadh, which culminates this season on Saudi Cup weekend. Saturday sees the 1,200-meter open featuring Group 2 Riyadh Dirt Sprint runner-up Muqtahem, trained by top Saudi handler Thamer Aldaihani, take on Honky Tonk Man, now under the care of Hadi Gharawi. Honky Tonk Man was the winner of a leg of the International Jockeys' Challenge on the Friday of the Saudi Cup weekend. Aeadat (KSA), another prolific winner and a daughter of Premium Tap, makes her return for trainer Ahmed Mohamoud in the Um Alqura Cup Prep as she bids to score for the eighth consecutive time. She goes up against Istita'aeh (KSA) and Aldaihani's Pretty Flag from Ireland, winner of the Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz Cup.

AlUla Strengthens Cooperation with Equestrian Authority
The Royal Commission for AlUla has signed an agreement with the Equestrian Authority to elevate AlUla's equestrian sector, according to the Saudi Press Agency. The memorandum of understanding seeks to strengthen AlUla's position as a pioneering hub for equestrian excellence and prestigious events and activities related to equestrianism. By signing this deal with the Equestrian Authority, the commission is establishing AlUla as a role model of innovation in the equestrian field across the Kingdom and on an international level.
