Roquan Smith has admitted to circling two games on the Ravens 2025 schedule Roquan Smith didn't shy away from saying he already has two of the Ravens' games circled on his calendar.
Another domino has fallen. The NFL Schedule Release 25 show has attached times and dates to each of the Baltimore Ravens' 17 regular-season games. It's Super Bowl or bust for The Flock, but they can't look too far ahead. They can't overlook anyone, especially the first opponent.
The schedule makers didn't waste any time. Baltimore's AFC Divisional Round rematch comes early. It falls in Week 1, on the first Sunday Night Football broadcast of the pro football season. The Buffalo Bills are the opponent. It appears that fact isn't lost on the Ravens' leading tackler of the most recent campaign.
Roquan Smith joined Rich Eisen on NFL Network to discuss the coming grind. Flashing his trademark smile, he had no issues admitting to already having circled a couple of games.
Roquan Smith discusses two Ravens games he has already highlighted on his calendar.
Since his arrival, Roquan Smith has been a breath of fresh air for Baltimore's defense. Each of his first three seasons in black, purple, and metallic gold resulted in First-Team All-Pro mentions (2022–2024) and Pro Bowl nominations.
When the schedule was released, what was the first game he looked for? His answer came swiftly: "The first game of the year." What a coincidence! From the looks of things, much of the Ravens' fan base and the media are interested in the same contest.
"That's going to set the tone for the entire season."
Rich Eisen reminded him of who that game was against. Smith's smile returned.
"Yeah. (That's) just how I like it. Revenge is best served as a cold dish, you know? So, it will be nice to get up there in Buffalo and get a little payback (against) those guys for the end of the year."
Smith showed Buffalo the proper respect, stating the Bills won the game "fair and square." However, he also lamented that "misery sets in," and he intends to use last January's loss as fuel and motivation. That's a good thing. His coaches and teammates wouldn't have it any other way.
Eisen asked him if there were any other contests he looked forward to playing in. He didn't offer the stale 'it doesn't matter' approach or bore us by stating the expected 'we'll play anyone' jargon. Instead, he provided another honest answer...
"I'm definitely excited for the Chicago (Bears) game. That's going to be sweet."
For the uninitiated, Smith began his NFL career in the Windy City and gave five years to a struggling Bears franchise. It wasn't for nothing. He was named a Second-team All-Pro twice (2020, 2021) and was eventually traded to Baltimore, but what NFL star doesn't want to play well against his former team (even if they don't admit it)?
This isn't the same Bears team he left, though. They have added offensive weaponry like QB Caleb Williams, Smith's former Georgia Bulldogs teammate D'Andre Swift, and wide receiver Rome Odunze. They're now led by new head coach and offensive mastermind Ben Johnson, who previously resurrected Jared Goff's career as the Detroit Lions' offensive coordinator from 2022-24.
Make no mistake. Any game vs. the Bears offense won't be a walk in the park for the Ravens' defense. But, don't lose any sleep either. The Ravens will certainly be favored in that game.

Jalen Ramsey skipping start of Dolphins minicamp with trade talks simmering
Jalen Ramsey will not be at the Dolphins' minicamp when it opens this week as the two sides continue to search for a trade for the cornerback. The player and team mutually agreed to part ways back in April, but so far, a trade hasn't materialized and it has led to Ramsey opting not to attend mandatory minicamp this week, NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reported on Sunday. Jalen Ramsey walks onto the field prior to a game against the Cleveland Browns at Huntington Bank Field on December 29, 2024 in Cleveland, The NFL insider also indicated that Ramsey would remain away from the team until the situation is resolved. A former All-Pro defender and seven-time Pro Bowler, Ramsey has spent his last two seasons with the Dolphins and appeared in all 17 games last season in South Florida. It would appear that both sides are ready to move on from each other as the organization begins to prepare for the 2025 season. Advertisement Asked about it last week, Dolphins coach Mike McDaniel told reporters he wasn't paying much mind to it. 'I don't really check in on a day-to-day [basis]. Zero has changed from my end. I let [general manager] Chris [Grier] work, and I'm diligently coaching,' he said. Jalen Ramsey warms up prior to a game against the Cleveland Browns at Huntington Bank Field on December 29, 2024 in Cleveland, of this comes a season removed from the Dolphins signing Ramsey to a three-year, $72.3 million extension and making him the highest-paid corner in the NFL. Ramsey did see a dip in his play last season when he missed the Pro Bowl for the first time since 2016. He had 60 tackles, a sack, two interceptions and 11 passes defended. Advertisement Ramsey had been taken fifth overall in the 2016 NFL Draft by the Jaguars and played there until he was traded to the Rams in the middle of the 2019 season. Todd McShay's Comp for Klubnik? A Rising NFL Star
Todd McShay's Comp for Klubnik? A Rising NFL Star originally appeared on Athlon Sports. NFL Draft guru Todd McShay is high on Clemson quarterback Cade Klubnik, and he has a compelling NFL comparison that should excite Tigers fans. Advertisement On "The McShay Show," the former ESPN analyst broke down Klubnik's game and saw a striking resemblance to a quarterback who just lit up the AFC West as a rookie: Denver Broncos QB Bo Nix. Rebilas-Imagn Images "I see a lot of Bo Nix in this kid. I see a lot of Bo Nix in Cade Klubnik," McShay stated. "I think he's great when the initial play breaks down, when he's gotta climb the pocket, when he's gotta side step. It's like soothing to him, which I love that." It's a comparison that carries significant weight. Nix, the 12th overall pick in the 2024 draft, is coming off a stellar rookie campaign where he threw for 3,775 yards and 29 touchdowns for the Broncos. He added another 430 yards and four scores with his legs, quickly establishing himself as a franchise player. Advertisement McShay admits he may have initially overlooked some of the traits in Nix that he now sees in Klubnik. "Watch his arm, like how loose, and the ball, it has more energy than it looks," McShay added, describing a shared "elastic" quality in both quarterbacks' arms. "I said the same thing about Bo, and I put too much emphasis on all the problems at Auburn and not enough on the development at Oregon. I absolutely undervalued Bo Nix." Klubnik, now entering his senior season, is building a resume that justifies the hype. In a dominant 2024 junior year, he was one of only two quarterbacks nationwide to pass for over 3,500 yards and rush for over 400. By the Numbers: Klubnik's 2024 Breakout Advertisement Passing: 3,639 yards, 36 TDs, 6 INTs Rushing: 463 yards, 7 TDs Total Touchdowns: 43 (2nd in FBS) His impressive touchdown-to-interception ratio (36-to-6) was among the nation's best, showcasing the decision-making that has scouts buzzing. The buzz is translating directly to his draft stock. In McShay's Way-Too-Early 2026 Mock Draft, he projected Klubnik as a top-five pick, landing with the Cleveland Browns. "When I'm saying Bo Nix [comp to Klubnik], like look at the size, look at the mobility, look at the elastic arm, look at kind of the chaos pressure stuff," McShay clarified. "I'm not saying the ceiling is Bo Nix. I'm just saying when I watch him, I see a lot of the same stuff." Advertisement As Klubnik enters the 2025 season as a bona fide Heisman Trophy candidate, the comparison to a successful pro like Nix will only amplify the spotlight on the Clemson signal-caller.
