Woodstock man dead following crash in Brant
A man from Woodstock is dead following a two-vehicle crash in Brant on Sunday night.
Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were called to Highway 53 west of Burford just before 10 p.m.
The crash involved a motorcycle and an SUV. The motorcyclist, a 28-year-old man, has died.
OPP did not say if the SUV driver was hurt.
Middle Townline Road between Sixth Concession Road and Seventh Concession Road, as well as Highway 53 between Lawrence Road and Harley Road were closed for investigation but have since reopened.
OPP have asked anyone who saw the crash or has dashcam footage to call 1-888-310-1122.

Verriere said the office looked into multiple potential CEA breaches but found that the evidence to support them was either non-existent or insufficient. He told National Post on Tuesday that he was not aware that the commissioner's investigation was closed until National Post reached out to him for comment. 'I have always said that I have always followed the election rules. Unfortunately, my family, my team and I have suffered irreversible harm,' Dong said in a text message. 'I remain hopeful that this conclusion of Commissioner Simard's investigation will bring DVN electors, especially Liberals, full closure and restore public confidence in our democratic process and institutions.' The other review into foreign interference Simard discussed during the public inquiry was into allegations of Chinese interference against Conservative candidate Kenny Chiu during the 2021 federal election in the B.C. riding of Steveston–Richmond East. During her testimony in front of the Public Inquiry into Foreign Interference (PIFI) last year, Simard said her office had already concluded there was insufficient evidence to support charges of 'undue foreign influence' or any other breaches of the CRA. Toronto man charged after Hwy. 401 road rage stabbing
A 44-year-old Toronto man faces multiple charges, including assault, after police say two people were stabbed during a road rage incident on Highway 401 near Brimley Road in Scarborough. Police say they responded to the incident around 4:37 p.m. on Monday, by which point all parties had left the scene. The victims, 35 and 31, took themselves to the hospital, police say. The 35-year-old sustained serious but non-life-threatening injuries, while police say the 31-year-old's injuries were minor. Both parties had exited their vehicles on the shoulder of the highway, when the 44-year-old man allegedly confronted the others and stabbed them.
