
Yarmouk volleyball teams celebrate strong season across all age groups
Highlighting the achievements, Al-Fulaikawi noted that the Under-10 team secured third place in the league, while both the Under-12 and Under-16 squads finished as league runners-up. The Under-16 team also claimed second place in the Cup competition, and the Under-19 youth team earned second place in the Cup as well.
Al-Fulaikawi emphasized that these results were the outcome of consistent hard work and dedication by the technical staff, referring to them as the backbone of the "Sons of Mishref" volleyball program. He expressed optimism for even greater success in the upcoming season, reaffirming the club's commitment to nurturing talent and competing at a high level.
Osama Madkour, head coach of Yarmouk's Under-19 team and technical director, extended heartfelt thanks to the club's management for their continued support. He credited club officials, including President Ahmed Al-Jarki, Secretary General Fouad Al-Filakawi, and Volleyball Head Khaled Al-Filakawi, for their constant presence and encouragement throughout the season.
'The supportive environment created by the management allowed us to focus on building the teams and achieving strong results,' Madkour said. 'With our recent success, the technical staff's mandate has been renewed, and we are committed to further developing player performance and producing future champions.'

KUWAIT CITY, Aug 9: Al-Tadamon has scheduled two friendly matches against Yarmouk and Burqan on August 14 and 18 as part of its preparations for the upcoming Zain Premier League season, which kicks off against Kuwait Club on September 12. Following the match against Burgan, the team will embark on a training camp abroad, where they will play several additional friendly matches. The team has reinforced its squad with key signings, including Nigerian professional Folabi, French players Jonathan Bamba and Zakaria Slimani, Portuguese Pedro, and Syrian Ahmed Al-Dali. Al-Tadamon aims to deliver strong and convincing performances throughout the new season. Training sessions began last week on the subsidiary field at Jaber Al-Ahmad International Stadium, as the club's main stadium undergoes maintenance. The sessions are led by Portuguese coach Miguel Leal in preparation for the season ahead. The club has also added local talents such as Abdul Mohsen Al-Ajmi, Salman Al-Ajmi, Turki Al-Mutairi, and Ali Fadel to its roster. Negotiations are ongoing to sign additional local players to further strengthen the squad and achieve the team's goals.

KUWAIT CITY, Aug 9: The Kuwait Olympic soccer team will play its third friendly match tonight against Yarmouk at 7:00 pm at Abdullah Al-Khalifa Stadium, before departing for a training camp in Thailand as part of preparations for the U-23 Asian Cup finals to be hosted by Saudi Arabia next January. Kuwait is drawn in Group B of the U-23 Asian Cup qualifiers alongside Japan, Afghanistan, and Myanmar, which will host the group matches from September 1 to 9. Tonight's game follows two earlier friendlies, in which the team defeated Kazma 3-1 and overcame Fahaheel 1-0 last Thursday, thanks to a goal from Jarrah Al-Hulaileh. Croatian head coach Dario Basic aims to use the match to evaluate player readiness and strengthen team cohesion, especially with several new additions to the squad, as the team targets strong results in the upcoming competition.
