Rihanna Is Pregnant With Third Child, Reveals Baby Bump at Met Gala
Rihanna revealed that she's expecting her third child with A$AP Rocky, debuting her baby bump before the Met Gala.
Rihanna revealed her pregnancy as she was entering the Carlyle Hotel. Rocky, one of the co-chairs for the Met Gala, walked the Met Gala carpet shortly after. He and his fellow co-chairs, also including Colman Domingo, Lewis Hamilton, LeBron James and Pharrell Williams, were required to arrive early.

Previously, Rihanna revealed news of her second child during her explosive Super Bowl performance in 2023. During her set, she cradled her midsection several times, prompting speculation on social media that she was expecting again. Her rep confirmed shortly after the performance that she was indeed pregnant, and in August of that year, her and Rocky welcomed their second son Riot. Rihanna and Rocky had their first child, RZA, in May 2022.
In April 2024, Rihanna spoke with Interview magazine about potentially adding more children to their family. 'As many as god wants me to have,' she said. 'I don't know what god wants, but I would go for more than two. I would try for my girl. But of course if it's another boy, it's another boy.'
Outside of family life, Rihanna is due to star as the voice of Smurfette in the animated film 'Smurfs,' out July 18. Rocky, meanwhile, has been gearing up for his fourth studio album 'Don't Be Dumb,' which is tentatively due for release this year, and will appear in Spike Lee's upcoming film 'Highest 2 Lowest,' in theaters August 22.
Rihanna was recently by Rocky's side during his felony shooting trial in Los Angeles. Rocky was facing two assault charges stemming from a 2021 shooting incident that occurred outside the W Hotel in Hollywood. After a three-week trial, Rocky was found not guilty on all counts, jumping over the stand to hug Rihanna and his mother, Renee Black, and sister Erika Mayers.

Variety report claims 'The Boys' and 'Handmaid's Tale' imaginary fascist worlds are becoming reality
Michael Schneider, executive editor for Variety's TV section, claimed in an article published Friday that the imaginary fascist worlds of Amazon Prime's "The Boys" and Hulu's "The Handmaid's Tale" are becoming reality. Schneider argued the fictitious worlds created in the TV series "don't seem so far-fetched anymore" in President Donald Trump's America. "The Boys," a TV series based on a group of superheroes who cause more chaos than they do good, recently rolled out a marketing campaign jokingly referring to the show as a documentary. In a 2022 interview with Rolling Stone, showrunner Eric Kripke confirmed the series' "evil-Superman-style character," Homelander, was created as a "direct Trump analogue." The Variety editor wrote that the superhero series "feels a lot less fictional every season it's on the air." 'Handmaid's Tale' Showrunners Say Their Series' 'Warning' Was 'Ignored' Based On Trump's Re-election "That's why the cheeky 'The Boys' ads tout its campaign for 'Best Documentary Series.'" he wrote. "Sure, the 'documentary' is crossed out, and 'drama' is hastily written above it, like it was a last-minute mistake. But we've been making that joke for years." He featured quotes from the show's creators to reinforce his point that the authoritarian dystopia featured in the series is now becoming reality. The show's executive producer, Eric Tuchman, recalled that some writers for the show were concerned about the possibility of Roe v. Wade being overturned when Trump won the presidency in 2016. He felt that it sounded "kind of alarmist and extremist … I could not have been more wrong, obviously." Tuchman claimed the show's creators weren't focused on calling attention to "the political situation in the country," but said "it was just uncanny how much it ended up being a mirror of what was happening in the real world." Another showrunner, Yahlin Chang, said before she joined the production, she "did all this research into what happens when parents and children are separated in conflict zones." She conducted this research in preparation for a scene in which one of the characters is allowed to visit her estranged daughter for only 10 minutes under government supervision. It just got $9 million cheaper for Bill Belichick to blow off UNC football
The Bill Belichick contract wrinkle that sees his buyout drop by $9 million before he even coaches a game for North Carolina is in effect. When he was hired as coach of the Tar Heels in December, Belichick's contract buyout started at $10 million per year, but the 73-year-old apparently negotiated a clause that sees the number drop to $1 million as of June 1. Belichick's tenure at UNC has so far been completely overshadowed by the ongoing saga surrounding his 24-year-old girlfriend, Jordon Hudson. Hudson, who is 49 years Belichick's junior, has become an inextricable part of the story at North Carolina.
