'I found the perfect 'blonzing' product for summer that rivals rhode'
'Blonzers' are on the rise for summer, and Mirror's shopping writer Grace tested out Refy's newest blush drop to see how it looked on the skin
Popular beauty brand REFY is one of our favourites over here at the Mirror. From the popular Lip Sculpt to the Lash Sculpt mascara (loved by Molly-Mae by the way) and my personal favourite, the Brow Tint, Refy products never miss.
And the brand has just extended its Cream Blush range with two new shades that are perfect for summer. The shades included are Rust, a deep, warm-toned burnt orange and Plum, a cool-toned deep berry.
Thanks to Hailey Bieber sparking the berry-toned make-up trend, and her popular Toasted Teddy Pocket Blush from rhode, we're not surprised to see that orange and burgundy blush shades are on the rise.
I'm a huge fan of orange and brown toned blushers that give that popular 'blonzed' or sunburnt look so I was so excited to see that REFY had launched these new shades.
Refy Rust Cream Blush Review
What I love most about REFY blushes is the smooth, buildable texture that melts into the skin and creates that natural sun-kissed flush, and this new Rust shade is no exception. I hate cream blushes that require you to work really hard with the formula, and luckily this blush is quite literally fool-proof. It glides efffortlessly onto the skin, especially when using the Refy Duo Brush to apply it.
And priced at £16, it's a really wallet-friendly blush that only requries a little bit each time you use it.
Creating that beautiful 'sunburnt' blush look that I aim for everytime I do my make-up, and this blush is really the shade of the summer. Although I've not personally tested out rhode's Toasted Teddy, it has that similar burnt terracotta tone that's so popular at the moment.
I'm not the only fan of these cream blushes with Molly Mae raving about the shade Malaya. This is a cool dusty pink with neutral undertones, perfect if you like using a pink blush that's not overly bubblegum or coral pink and has more of a mauve-y depth to the shade.
A few of my other favourite blushes that have that similar bronze-y feel includes the Morphe Cheek Thrills Multi Finish Face Trio Palette, a fairly new product but already a staple in my make-up bag and priced at £19. Plus the Nudestix Nudies All Over Face Matte Bronze, priced at £31.50, which I used as a blush rather than a bronzer.

Meghan would've 'horrified' King with astonishing move as she 'clings' to title
Meghan Markle raised eyebrows with a video of her twerking trying to bring on labour - and royal expert Jennie Bond has revealed how those at the palace would have reacted to the clip Meghan Markle would have left King Charles 'horrified' with her "utterly bizarre" decision to share a video of her twerking to bring on labour, a royal expert has claimed. The Duchess of Sussex astonished royal watchers and fans by posting the video of her dancing in a hospital room alongside Prince Harry while waiting for the arrival of their daughter, Princess Lilibet. In the clip, a heavily pregnant Meghan twerks to the Starrkeisha song Baby Momma lifting her skirt above her knees, raising her hands in the air and wiggling low with her hands on her hips and legs. Meghan shared the clip on Lilibet's fourth birthday, saying: "Four years ago today, this also happened. "Both of our children were a week past their due dates… so when spicy food, all that walking, and acupuncture didn't work – there was only one thing left to do!" And for royal expert Jennie Bond, she believes it is an "astonishing video on any level" and reveals what the King would have thought of it. The former BBC royal correspondent told the Mirror: "The hours before you give birth are some of the most personal, intimate and private in the lives of any couple. "And women are perfectly entitled to do whatever they feel like to get through the waiting, and the pain. Giving birth is a serious business, and anything to lighten the mood is welcome. "However - to share those scenes with the world is utterly bizarre and, in my view, takes away all the magic of the moment. I cannot imagine why she chose to release it. Maybe show it one day to your nearest and dearest— but to anyone and everyone who wants to click on it? "I can hear the voice of the late Queen's former private secretary, Lord Charteris, repeating the comments he once made about Fergie: 'Vulgar, vulgar, vulgar'. "If the King has watched it, which I doubt, though he can't have missed the headlines I'm sure he would be horrified. Royalty has to carry with it some measure of dignity." Since sharing the clip many have questioned why she posted it, given the couple's supposed desire for privacy. And Jennie added: "I'm glad they were so happy before the birth, I'm glad Harry was there to support his wife in every way, I'm delighted to hear that he's such a great dad. But they really can't have it both ways. "They can't demand privacy and be so coy about sharing images of their children and then show us all these intensely intimate scenes. And she cannot expect to be treated as if she's royal whilst behaving like a click-hungry social media influencer. "Having said all that, there's no doubt that videos like this connect in a very real way to young people. And perhaps that's what Meghan is trying to do. My own daughter thought the video humanised both Meghan and Harry and was light-hearted and hugely relatable. It reminded her of her own pregnancies and labour and she thought it was rather charming. In many ways, I agree with her. I just don't think it sits happily with trying to cling to the vestiges of being 'royal'." Get Royal Family updates straight to your WhatsApp! In Molly-Mae's latest vlog which was uploaded to YouTube just 15 hours ago, the Love Island star turned businesswoman shared the new high-street beauty buy she can't get enough of. As she took off her make-up, the Filter founder, who lives in a huge £3.5million mansion, gave her honest thoughts on the Aveeno Face Foaming Make Up Removing Cleanser. The purse-friendly beauty product, which is currently on offer at Superdrug and has been slashed from £12.99 down to only £8.65, is dermatologist tested and removes make-up in an instant. Thrilled with the affordable find, the blonde beauty who recently got back together with Tommy Fury, 26, explained: 'Make-up day or no make-up day, there's only one cleanser that I'm using consistently, day in and day out - I've been using for a good few months now and it's this one from Aveeno. 'As you guys know, the Oat Gel Moisturiser is one of my absolute favourites so I wanted to do a little bit more digging on the range and see if I was going to love any of the products from the same range as much as I love this one. 'I find that so many cleansers dry my skin out and what I love most about this Aveeno one is that it doesn't do that. 'It maintains the moisture on my skin, it doesn't dry me out. 'It's such a good make-up remover as well, I had a really hard waterproof mascara on my lashes the other day - used this and it literally swiped it straight off.' The content creator who boasts 1.9million subscribers on YouTube and has a jaw-dropping £6million fortune, then shared an honest confession about her skin troubles, as she expressed: 'It is so good, it's fragrance-free and it's really good for sensitive skin which is great because for me right now, my eczema has actually flared back up. Molly-Mae Hague reveals the £18 secret to her summer glow - and you can get it even cheaper if you hurry 'I'm having pigmentation issues again and flare-ups with my eczema which is less than ideal. 'But right now, any product that's good for sensitive skin is calling my name.' I had a really hard waterproof mascara on my lashes the other day - used this and it literally swiped it straight off Molly-Mae Hague After using the cleanser, the mum-of-one beamed: 'My skin just feels so unbelievably clean, it feels like it really gets the grub and dirt out of my pores. 'That's cleanser done. My skin literally feels brand new. 'I think it's easy to forget that sometimes some of the best skincare products aren't actually crazily priced and you don't have to spend loads to get products that just really work.' Biggest skincare trends for 2025 Face The Future's Head of Clinic, Kimberley Medd, shared the five skincare trends predicted to take off in 2025. 1. Exosomes Exosomes are the buzzword for 2025, taking advanced skin regeneration to new heights. These micro-messengers signal skin cells to repair damage, boost collagen, and accelerate recovery, and they're a gamechanger for targeting ageing. 2. Streamlined Skincare The age of 12-step routines is fading as consumers shift to more intentional, multi-functional products. Streamlining skincare not only saves time but also reduces the risk of overloading your skin. In 2025, we'll see a rise in hybrid products that combine active ingredients for simplified, effective results. 3. Vegan Collagen Plant-based collagen will dominate the skincare world this year, providing a sustainable, ethical alternative to traditional animal-derived collagen. Expect vegan collagen in everything from moisturisers to serums. 4. The Rise Of AI AI is revolutionising the beauty landscape, making it possible for consumers to get truly personalised skincare solutions. In 2025, we predict a dramatic shift towards AI-powered tools that help people understand their skin on a deeper level. 5. Hair Loss Solutions - Hair loss is an issue that affects more men than we often realise, and it's no longer just something we're talking about behind closed doors. This year, expect to see a continued rise in demand for treatments that not only tackle hair loss but also nurture overall scalp health. Not only did Molly-Mae describe the cleanser as her 'current go-to' product for 'quick skincare' that makes her "feel 10/10', but she also acknowledged that it makes her feel 'so clean, so fresh, so moisturised, so soothed.' Beauty fans beam And it's clear that Molly-Mae, who recently opened up on 'destroying' her face during her filler phase, isn't the only person who loves the Aveeno buy, as it has currently racked up an average rating of 4.5 out of five on the Superdrug website. One person said: 'I loved this product! Firstly you get a really good amount for the price, a little goes a long way so I can see this bottle lasting some time! I've switched out my usual cleanser for this Aveeno product and I'm so impressed I don't think I'll be switching back! I'm having pigmentation issues again and flare-ups with my eczema which is less than ideal Molly-Mae Hague 'I didn't find it dried out my skin nor did I feel it left any kind of greasy feel and removed my make-up effortlessly! It has a slight clean smell, nothing too strong and feels very gentle on my skin!' Another added: 'Very moisturising and calming on my extremely sensitive skin. 'My face looks radiant and more smooth just after a few uses! It has a rich and soft lather which is perfect to remove makeup too.' A third commented: 'I love that this cleanser also removes all my make-up. My usual make-up remover leaves my face feeling oily so I cleanse afterwards. 'This is an all in one so saves time and space in the bathroom. Left my face feeling clean and not greasy or dry.' Kate Middleton's down to earth response when asked 'who are you' by school child
Our community members are treated to special offers, promotions and adverts from us and our partners. You can check out at any time. More info During Royal visits, Princess Kate often faces curious inquiries about the reality of royal life from members of the public. While meeting with crowds is generally a thrill for many, some onlookers are left wondering about the commotion surrounding royals. One memorable moment occurred in 2023 when Kate, alongside Prince William, visited Burghead Primary School in Moray, Scotland. The Prince and Princess of Wales delighted the children as they toured the school, and Kate even sportingly timed a student's bike race. READ MORE - Kate Middleton's royal title 'almost went to someone else' before 'intervention' READ MORE - The giant lost Edinburgh building that once took up half of the Meadows Interacting with the pupils, Catherine gave one a high-five, saying, "I really like your school," leading a bold youngster to candidly ask the future Queen, "Who are you?". Kate gracefully sidestepped her full Royal stature, simply indicating her husband and replying: "I'm married to William," Her down-to-earth approach continued when another child at the school quizzically inquired: "Are you a Prince?", reports the Mirror. With a gentle shake of her head, Kate clarified: "I'm not a Prince. I'm the Duchess of Cambridge. Lots of people call me Catherine." And when an eager little girl called out, "She's a Princess!" Kate engaged her warmly, asking, "Are you? Are you a Princess?" After the girl negated, Kate responded affectionately: "Aww, you look like one in your beautiful pink coat." Later in the day, Prince William was playfully challenged by another cheeky youngster who inquired about his age. When the prince turned the question around to guess his age, he feigned shock at their answer of 57, exclaiming: "I'm not that old." The Princess of Wales, Kate, is well-acquainted with humorous cases of mistaken identity during Royal engagements, recalling a particularly amusing interaction with a care home resident in 2020. In 2020, the Prince and Princess of Wales visited a Cardiff care facility to meet face-to-face with residents they had previously engaged with via Zoom during the pandemic's early stages. During their visit, the Royal pair chatted with 87 year old Joan Drew-Smith, who didn't hesitate to critique their bingo-calling skills from an earlier virtual game with the residents. William joked with Joan: "You may not recognise us, but we played bingo with you and you won. But you said we didn't do a very good job?" To which Joan candidly replied: "No, you did a s*** job," prompting laughter and an amused response from William: "Excellent!". Joan then directed her attention to Kate, who sat beside William donning a mask, and asked: "Is this your assistant?" Kate responded with good humour: "Well, I'm his assistant! I have been for a long time!". Following Joan's spirited comments, William expressed his fondness for her to the staff, remarking post-visit: "She's brilliant." Despite her current widespread recognition, there was a time before her 2011 marriage to William when Kate, now the Princess of Wales, went unnoticed by the public. Royal butler Grant Harrold has shared an insight into a moment from the past, revealing that Kate was once left "standing alone" during King Charles' 60th birthday celebrations in 2008, seemingly unnoticed by other guests. Speaking to MyLondon, he recounted: "I went over and chatted to her while we waited for Will to come in and it was quite sweet. But now - could you imagine Kate in the middle of a room and no one speaking to her? It just wouldn't happen, she'd be mobbed."
