Report: Raiders Emerging as Frontrunners to Trade for Trey Hendrickson(Getty Images)
The Trey Hendrickson trade rumors just got a whole lot louder, and Raider Nation is at the center of it. According to sources, an
NFL
executive didn't hold back when asked about where the Cincinnati Bengals star pass rusher might land next.
His answer? The Las Vegas Raiders. With Tom Brady, Mark Davis, and GM John Spytek pushing a full-throttle win-now mentality, Hendrickson-to-Vegas is suddenly the buzz that has NFL fans losing it online.
NFL executive says the Raiders are the frontrunners to land Trey Hendrickson
The quote making waves came straight from Hondo Carpenter,
'I have no doubt the Raiders are the frontrunners. Tom Brady and Mark Davis want to win now, and John (Spytek) has no fear when it comes to making bold moves. The kid (Hendrickson is 30), that move is the mentality of Pete Carroll, he's not afraid of anything that could improve the team.'
That's a pretty strong endorsement of where the Raiders stand in these talks. While nothing is close to being finalized, it's clear Hendrickson's name is being tied more heavily to Vegas than anywhere else right now.
This whole saga started because Hendrickson, despite being one of the NFL's best edge rushers, is frustrated with his contract. He wants more guaranteed money, and the Bengals haven't exactly rushed to fix the situation.

Reports suggest Cincinnati is holding firm on its price which could include a player plus a 2026 first-round pick. At 30, Hendrickson still has plenty left in the tank, and that's why teams are circling.
Why the Raiders make perfect sense as a landing spot
Pairing Hendrickson with Maxx Crosby? That's instant nightmare fuel for opposing quarterbacks. The Raiders already have cap space flexibility and a front office that's shown it isn't scared of bold moves. Add Tom Brady's influence in the building, plus Mark Davis' constant push for relevance, and this feels exactly like the type of blockbuster Vegas would pull off.
While the Raiders have been labeled 'frontrunners,' they're not the only team with interest. The Colts, Jaguars, and Seahawks have all been linked to Hendrickson at different points in this drama. Any deal would come down to who's willing to match Cincinnati's asking price and not every team is ready to cough up first-round capital for a 30-year-old pass rusher, even one as dominant as Hendrickson.

'False and malicious': Imane Khelif slams retirement rumours

Imane Khelif (AFP Photo) Algerian Olympic boxing champion Imane Khelif on Wednesday dismissed claims from her former manager suggesting she was stepping away from the sport. Khelif, who won gold in the women's 66kg category at the Paris Games, was recently at the centre of a gender controversy. "I would like to make it clear to the public that the reports of my retirement from boxing are false," the 26-year-old wrote on her Facebook page. Go Beyond The Boundary with our YouTube channel. "This person no longer represents me in any way," she said. "I have never announced my retirement from boxing. I remain committed to my sporting career, I train regularly and I maintain my physical condition between Algeria and Qatar in preparation for upcoming events." Earlier on Wednesday, French newspaper Nice Matin reported comments from Yesfah claiming she had hung up her gloves, though without clarifying if the decision was permanent. The world boxing championships are scheduled in Liverpool from September 4–14, with the deadline for entries set for Monday. Catch Rani Rampal's inspiring story on Game On, Episode 4. Watch Here!

PlayStation prices rise as US tariffs bite

Sony on Wednesday said it is bumping up the price of PlayStation 5 video game consoles by $50 in the United States due to a "challenging economic environment." Tariffs imposed by President Donald Trump hike the cost of goods brought into the US, leaving companies like Japan's Sony to decide whether to pass that on to consumers. "Similar to many global businesses, we continue to navigate a challenging economic environment," Sony Interactive Entertainment vice president of global marketing Isabelle Tomatis said in a post. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like When the Camera Clicked at the Worst Possible Time Read More Undo After initially being threatened with a 25 percent hike, Japan negotiated a 15 percent tariff with the Trump administration. "As a result, we've made the difficult decision to increase the recommended retail price for PlayStation 5 consoles in the US." Live Events The new price for PS5 will be $550, with a "Digital Edition" priced at $500 and a Pro version for $750, according to Tomatis. In May, Sony warned it was considering tweaking prices in the US, estimating that tariffs could wind up costing the company about $680 million in the fiscal year. American companies are feeling the crunch, too. New York-based cosmetics giant Estee Lauder recently estimated the impact of the new tariffs at around $100 million for the 2026 financial year and plans to adjust its prices to offset the additional cost. US snack giant PepsiCo could increase prices of its soft drinks about 10 percent to mitigate effects of US tariffs, particularly those on imported aluminum used to make soda cans, according to trade magazine Beverage Digest. Meanwhile, California-based energy drink maker Monster Beverages is considering raising prices due to a "complex and dynamic customs landscape," according to chief executive Hilton Schlosberg. The Commerce Department this week said the US broadened its steel and aluminum tariffs, impacting hundreds more products that contain both metals such as child seats, tableware and heavy equipment. Since returning to the presidency, Trump has imposed tariffs on almost all US trading partners. Though the impact of Trump's tariffs on consumer prices has been limited so far, economists warn that their full effects are yet to be seen. Some businesses have coped by bringing forward purchases of products they expected will encounter tariffs. Others have passed on additional costs to their consumers, or absorbed a part of the fresh tariff burden.
