Veteran actor
Kirron Kher
is known for her open and honest personality, both on and off screen. In a recent interview, she revealed that she never praises her family's work unless it truly impresses her, even if that means hurting feelings at home.
'I am not one of those people who appreciates family members just like that. My husband feels bad about it,' she told News18, admitting she can't pretend to like every film
Anupam Kher
has done. 'It shows on my face,' she laughed, recalling how she didn't enjoy Sikandar's performance in Tigmanshu Dhulia's Milan Talkies.
Advice to Sikandar: 'Be more like Anupam'
Kirron shared that she often urges her son to be less selective with projects.
While Sikandar is 'very particular' about his work, she feels he needs to take on more roles, just as Anupam did during his career's peak.
'Anupam has done all the films because he had to earn money and take care of the house and the family. Sikandar is a laat saheb... but things don't work that way,' she pointed out. Kirron acknowledged she had the 'luxury of choice' because Anupam bore the financial responsibility, a privilege she believes Sikandar cannot afford if he wants to keep working consistently.

Anupam Kher on the 'void' of not having children
Married since 1985, Kirron and Anupam Kher do not have children together. Sikandar is Kirron's son from her first marriage to Gautam Berry, and was four years old when Anupam entered his life.
Speaking on Raj Shamani's podcast, Anupam admitted feeling a 'void' over not having biological children, revealing that Kirron 'could not conceive' and later faced complications when she did. 'I was too busy making it big,' he said, but added that Sikandar 'is still fine for me,' emphasising their strong bond despite the circumstances.

Indian mission in UK marks Partition Horrors Remembrance Day

Agency: London, Aug 14 (PTI) The High Commission of India in London on Thursday commemorated Partition Horrors Remembrance Day with a special photography exhibition and a documentary screening reflecting upon India's Partition in August 1947. The solemn gathering of community leaders and Indian diaspora members recounted some of the painful memories of the past a day before the 79th Independence Day celebrations planned at India House on Friday. 'When we recall Partition, we must also recall that this was a tragedy for everybody, because it was a tragedy that happened to all communities," said Indian High Commissioner Vikram Doraiswami, in his address to the gathering. Doraiswami said that many people were uprooted to come to India and likewise in Pakistan and that impact is still seen in the way people deal with each other even now. 'That at least should tell us, if nothing else, that the experiment that is the modern Indian nation is a valid argument," he added. 'Our continued existence as a state that is there for all Indian citizens is the best answer we can give anybody who seeks to suggest that we are different by virtue of our faith or by dealing with the absence of faith," he said. UK-based filmmaker Lalit Mohan Joshi presented an abridged version of his documentary 'Beyond Partition', which captured the voices of leading artists such as Shyam Benegal, Govind Nihalani and Gulzar who have explored the subject of Partition in their cinematic journey over the years. 'My film explores the trauma of Partition and how it impacted on filmmakers from the Indian subcontinent," said Joshi. The memorial event, held in the Gandhi Hall of India House, concluded with the Indian National Anthem before moving to the Nehru Hall for a tour of the photographic exhibition tracing the history of the Partition. ‘JD Vance's Netflix Password Is Password': UK Locals Roast US VP During Family Holiday

Last Updated: As Vance toured Charlbury, residents used satire and social media-inspired jokes to poke fun at the US vice president. JD Vance, US Vice President, received an unusual welcome this week as he, his family, and a large security detail passed through the village of Charlbury in England's Cotswolds and just not the kind he might have hoped for, according to a report by US broadcaster NBC News. Bathed in sunshine, dozens of demonstrators drank tea, ate cake featuring a meme of Vance's face and held up humorous placards earlier this Tuesday in the small community. 'JD Vance Netflix password is 'password,'" read one handmade sign near the location where the Vances are vacationing about 100 miles west of London. Another declared that Vance 'claps when the plane lands," referencing a habit mocked by some Britons as overenthusiastic. Others held placards quoting Vance when he said he 'never liked" US President Donald Trump. The Cotswolds, with its rolling hills rising from meadows along the upper River Thames, has long been popular with holidaymakers. In recent years, it has also drawn a wealthier crowd. Chipping Norton and surrounding towns are home to the 'Chipping Norton set," including former UK Prime Minister David Cameron and his wife Samantha Cameron, media executive Elizabeth Murdoch and US talk show host Ellen DeGeneres. Nearby, former 'Top Gear" presenter Jeremy Clarkson's 'Diddly Squat Farm" in Chadlington falls under a no-fly zone covering the Cotswolds. Referencing this on Instagram, Clarkson wrote: 'The JD Vance no fly zone. We are the pin. So on the downside, no drone shots today. On the upside, no annoying light aircraft." He later shared a video showing the peaceful countryside. view comments First Published: News viral 'JD Vance's Netflix Password Is Password': UK Locals Roast US VP During Family Holiday Disclaimer: Comments reflect users' views, not News18's. A Patiala district court has summoned YouTuber and Bigg Boss OTT 3 fame Armaan Malik and his two wives, Payal and Kritika Malik. The court recently issued notices to the three and asked them to appear on September 2. As per the Hindu Marriage Act, a person who practices Hinduism is allowed only one marriage at a time. Actor Shilpa Shetty and her husband Raj Kundra were booked by the Economic Offences Wing (EOW) for allegedly cheating a Mumbai-based businessman of Rs 60.4 crore in connection with a loan-cum-investment deal. The complainant, Deepak Kothari, has alleged that the couple defrauded him of over Rs 60 crore, which involved Shetty and Kundra's now-defunct company, Best Deal TV Pvt Ltd. Former Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah actress Jennifer Mistry has claimed that Dilip Joshi and producer Asit Kumaarr Modi had a heated argument in Hong Kong during one of the shoot trips for the show.
