Destiny's Child reunites for surprise performance during Beyoncé's final show in Las Vegas
The '90s girl group reunited onstage for a surprise performance during Beyoncé Knowles-Carter's final "Cowboy Carter" concert in Las Vegas.
The Grammy-winning singer kicked off her final concert at Allegiant Stadium in Vegas on July 26. The concert marked her last of two back-to-back shows at the stadium on her Cowboy Carter and the Rodeo Chitlin' Circuit Tour. It also served as the last of her 32 stadium concerts across the U.S. and Europe.
During the concert, fans were stunned when Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams joined the stage. The three women, formerly known as Destiny's Child, performed some of their beloved throwback hits, including their 2001 anthem "Bootylicious' and their 2005 hit 'Lose My Breath.'
Rowland and Williams even helped Beyoncé with her 'Renaissance'-favorite 'Mute Challenge,' and the moment felt especially special when they sang the lyrics, 'just me and my crew--big energy!'
"I cant believe I saw that with my own eyes. We literally just saw so much of Beyoncé's history onstage just now--her past, her present and her future," said one fan witnessing the show.
The famed girl group rose to fame in the 1990s with its original members Beyoncé Knowles, Kelly Rowland, LaTavia Roberson and LeToya Luckett. It eventually became a trio with Beyoncé, Rowland and Williams, who garnered much success before going their separate ways in 2006. They have stayed close friends over the years, each achieving success in their own creative careers. However, fans have been urging them to reunite.
In January of 2024, Beyoncé's mother, Tina Knowles, revealed she received a private serenade from Destiny's Child for her birthday, teasing fans with the possibility of a main-stage reunion.
It's been years since the ladies have performed together publicly. In 2018, Beyoncé brought out the two ladies during her famous Coachella performance, where they sang some of their classics.
As fans know, Beyoncé first debuted the highly anticipated show at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles on April 28 with 39 songs on the set list. The tour proved to be a revolutionary spectacle filled with fashion, different music genres and most notably country music and cultural commentary.
The nine-city tour spanned the U.S. and Europe.

The Mean Girls star appeared on the Thursday, July 31 episode of The Late Show with Stephen Colbert to perform "Shy" from her sophomore album Bite Me. Rapp, 25, sings on a set decorated like a small apartment before leaning backwards out of a brick window and gracefully climbing to the fire escape — while still carrying a tune and wearing heels. "Don't handle me with care / When you're pullin' my hair / Baby, ruin my life," she croons. "I want it bad, I swear / That I'm really not scared / I'm just a little bit shy." "Shy" appears on Rapp's new album Bite Me, which she announced in May and came out on Friday, Aug. 1. She spoke about how her mom manifested her becoming a pop star during an appearance on Amy Poehler's podcast Good Hang with Amy Poehler in May, thanks to her name's alliteration. "My mom chose my first and last name to be, well, okay, arguably chose my first and last name to both have [two letter R's]," she recalled. "She was like, 'Alliteration, just in case she wants to be a pop star' before I was born." Though Rapp admitted that her mom's decision was "conceited," she is "obsessed with the way [her mother] did it." "I'm like, thank you, God," she added. Poehler, 53, was impressed with how things came to be. "She gave you a pop star name just in case, because Reneé Rapp is a huge pop star name," the Parks and Recreation star said. Rapp, who released her album Snow Angel in August 2023, told PEOPLE about the inspiration behind the project. "All the songs I write obviously are about things that I've been through personally, but I think that any relationship I've ever had in my life is all culminated into one on this project and in these songs," she said at the time. "This is what I'm going through' thing, which is great, but I think that Snow Angel is a bit more resilient and it's a bit more matter of fact and has a little bit more bite." Anna has created a strict plan for herself, starting with her studies at Oxford, but all of that is derailed when she meets a charming man named Jamie (Mylchreest) who makes her question whether the path she's laid out for herself is the right one. The film arrives Aug. 1. Netflix Perfect Match, Season 3 (Aug. 1) Perfect Match is kind of like an all-star edition of all of Netflix's dating shows rolled into one. The show, now heading into its third season, features some fan-favorite cast members from shows like Love is Blind, Too Hot To Handle and Temptation Island -- to compete for another chance at love. Netflix Conversations with a Killer: The Son of Sam Tapes (July 30) Netflix's Conversations with a Killer series uses rare interviews with infamous murderers like Ted Bundy and Jeffrey Dahmer to offer unusual insight into the minds of these cold-blooded killers. In the new season of the show, they're tackling David Berkowitz, better known as the Son of Sam, the man who terrorized New York City during the summer of 1977. Berkowitz killed his victims with his .44 caliber gun and anonymously taunted the public and media outlets with letters he signed "the Son of Sam." This new series features audio interviews with Berkowitz who spoke with reporter Jack Jones while in prison in 1980 as well as firsthand interviews with law enforcement, journalists and survivors of his attacks. Peacock Peacock Twisted Metal, Season 2 (July 31) Twisted Metal, the action-comedy series based on the video game of the same name, is back for a second season this week. This season, John Doe (Anthony Mackie) and Quiet (Stephanie Beatriz) enter the deadly demolition derby known as Twisted Metal, hosted by Calypso, who is played this season by Anthony Carrigan. That's not the only drama for John, however, as his estranged sister Dollface (Tiana Okoye) also finds her way back to his life, too. Twisted Metal returned with three new episodes on Thursday, July 31; new episodes will arrive every week through Thursday, Aug 28. Starz Universal Pictures Happy Gilmore (Aug. 1) A funny thing happened just as soon as Happy Gilmore 2 arrived on Netflix -- the streamer announced that the original film, Happy Gilmore, was leaving the platform. Not to worry though; you can still catch a double feature on streaming because starting Aug. 1, the 1996 comedy is available on Starz. HBO Max Warner Bros. Final Destination Bloodlines (Aug. 1) Directed by Zach Lipovsky and Adam Stein, Final Destination Bloodlines, which arrives on HBO Max this week, stars Kaitlyn Santa Juana as Stefani Reyes, a woman who realizes that she and her family never should have existed because their grandparents cheated death. As a result, welp, death is knocking on her door.
