My Oxford Year (Aug. 1)
Sofia Carson and Corey Mylchreest star in My Oxford Year, a new romance on Netflix based on the novel by Julia Whelan. Carson stars as Anna, an ambitious American student who enrolls in a year-long poetry program at the University of Oxford. Anna has created a strict plan for herself, starting with her studies at Oxford, but all of that is derailed when she meets a charming man named Jamie (Mylchreest) who makes her question whether the path she's laid out for herself is the right one. The film arrives Aug. 1.
Netflix
Perfect Match, Season 3 (Aug. 1)
Perfect Match is kind of like an all-star edition of all of Netflix's dating shows rolled into one. The show, now heading into its third season, features some fan-favorite cast members from shows like Love is Blind, Too Hot To Handle and Temptation Island -- to compete for another chance at love. This season, for the first time ever, the show welcomes non-Netflix show talent, too, with contestants from The Bachelor and Love Island USA joining in on the fun. The first six episodes of this season arrive Aug. 1. Three more arrive Aug. 8 and the season finale will air Aug. 15.
Netflix
Conversations with a Killer: The Son of Sam Tapes (July 30)
Netflix's Conversations with a Killer series uses rare interviews with infamous murderers like Ted Bundy and Jeffrey Dahmer to offer unusual insight into the minds of these cold-blooded killers. In the new season of the show, they're tackling David Berkowitz, better known as the Son of Sam, the man who terrorized New York City during the summer of 1977. Berkowitz killed his victims with his .44 caliber gun and anonymously taunted the public and media outlets with letters he signed "the Son of Sam." This new series features audio interviews with Berkowitz who spoke with reporter Jack Jones while in prison in 1980 as well as firsthand interviews with law enforcement, journalists and survivors of his attacks.

Twisted Metal, Season 2 (July 31)
Twisted Metal, the action-comedy series based on the video game of the same name, is back for a second season this week. This season, John Doe (Anthony Mackie) and Quiet (Stephanie Beatriz) enter the deadly demolition derby known as Twisted Metal, hosted by Calypso, who is played this season by Anthony Carrigan. That's not the only drama for John, however, as his estranged sister Dollface (Tiana Okoye) also finds her way back to his life, too. Twisted Metal returned with three new episodes on Thursday, July 31; new episodes will arrive every week through Thursday, Aug 28.
Starz
Universal Pictures
Happy Gilmore (Aug. 1)
A funny thing happened just as soon as Happy Gilmore 2 arrived on Netflix -- the streamer announced that the original film, Happy Gilmore, was leaving the platform. Not to worry though; you can still catch a double feature on streaming because starting Aug. 1, the 1996 comedy is available on Starz.
HBO Max
Warner Bros.
Final Destination Bloodlines (Aug. 1)
Directed by Zach Lipovsky and Adam Stein, Final Destination Bloodlines, which arrives on HBO Max this week, stars Kaitlyn Santa Juana as Stefani Reyes, a woman who realizes that she and her family never should have existed because their grandparents cheated death. As a result, welp, death is knocking on her door. Teo Briones, Richard Harmon, Owen Patrick Joyner, and Brec Bassinger co-star, and the film marks the final appearance from actor Tony Todd, who died shortly after filming.

Hannah Burns 'Completely Cut' From ‘Perfect Match' Season 3

Netflix's Perfect Match season 3 just debuted last week, but already, there has been more drama offscreen than in the first six episodes of the series. For instance: Amber Desiree 'AD' Smith from Love Is Blind and Ollie Sutherland from Love Is Blind: UK have already announced their engagement (and pregnancy!). And more recently, Too Hot to Handle's Louis Russell made his red carpet debut with Love Island USA's Huda Mustafa (the latter of whom is not even on Perfect Match...) The latest drama: The Mole alum Hannah Burns claims Netflix won't let her go public with her fiancé/the father of her according to her, they 'completely cut' all her scenes from the season. Confused? Let's back up a bit. Hannah first raised eyebrows in late June, when she posted an Instagram suggesting she's gotten engaged on the upcoming season. '& now I'm engaged 🙊💍 Watch me find love on Perfect Match August 1st on @netflix,' she captioned a promo pic on June 25. Oh, and she also debuted a photo of what appears to be an engagement ring just over a week earlier on June 16. The plot thickened on July 16 when she announced that not only is she engaged—she's also expecting her first child. Naturally, fans began speculating that she'd met her mystery man on Perfect Match, and she kept the rumor mill turning with TikTok videos like this: And this: And while the identity of Hannah's fiancé is still not clear, she's now calling out Netflix for not allowing her to go public with her romance. In a TikTok posted on August 2, Hannah wrote, 'So, since my castmates from PM announced their engagement and fake relationships, can I be allowed to announce my BD/fiancé now or ????' She also added a caption reading, 'Like the double standard is INSANE.' She doesn't name names, but it seems preeeetty clear she's calling out her fellow castmates, AD and Ollie, who were allowed to go public with their post-Perfect Match relationship way back in March at the Love Is Blind season 8 reunion. THEN, in a second TikTok, Hannah wrote, 'Being told you have to keep your engagement a secret for six months only to find out you were completely cut from Perfect Match.' Oh? If you've already watched, then you know that Hannah doesn't appear in the first six episodes of Perfect Match. Presumably, she will be one of the new arrivals in a later episode if chosen for a date, but tbd!! Since Hannah is apparently unable to disclose any more deets, we'll just have to wait to find out who her IRL perfect match ends up being.

Kennedy Jr. on their anniversary. Newsweek reached out to Hines and Kennedy Jr.'s representatives via email for comment on Monday. Why It Matters Hines, 59, is known for her role on HBO's Curb Your Enthusiasm. The actress and Kennedy Jr., 71, got married in August 2014, and they credit Hines' Curb Your Enthusiasm co-star and creator, Larry David, for introducing them. According to The New York Times, the pair met twice—first while at a ski resort in Canada and later in Deer Valley, Utah. Kennedy Jr.—who is the nephew of former President John F. Kennedy—and Hines have seven children in their blended family. Hines has a daughter, Catherine, from her first marriage to ex-husband Paul Young. Kennedy Jr. has six kids—Bobby III and Kathleen with his first wife, Emily Ruth Black, and Conor, Aidan, Kyra and William "Finn" with his second wife, Mary Richardson. Richardson died by suicide in 2012. What To Know On Sunday, Hines shared a touching tribute to Kennedy Jr. on their 11-year wedding anniversary. "Happy anniversary, Bobby. We've had 11 amazing years together and I can't wait to see what the next eleven will bring," she wrote on Instagram alongside a photo of them together. "I love you." Kennedy Jr. also penned his own message to Hines. "Thanks for eleven years of love and laughter," he wrote on X. "You fill all my empty spaces." In October, Hines posted a message about her mother-in-law, Ethel Kennedy, following her death at the age of 96. "It has been my great honor to have shared laughter and love with Ethel," the Bad Moms star said at the time. "Her charisma, wisdom and strength will live on with me in every memory of her." "Bobby and I spent many warm nights in Hyannis Port having dinner with her and hearing stories from her extraordinary life. She always made me laugh," Hines continued. "She was never too serious except when she needed to be. She dressed to nines with bare feet. She will be missed. My love is with the family." Cheryl Hines and Robert F.
