Danish train moving at 'relatively high speed' when hit farm truck: police
The drivers of the train and the truck are both among the critically injured from Friday's accident on a railway crossing at Bjerndrup in southwest Denmark.
A 60-year-old woman was killed and five of the 27 injured were in critical condition, police said.
The train was travelling from Copenhagen to the western town of Sonderborg. The truck carrying agricultural waste was crossing the railway at a point where there was no barrier, according to police.
The train was travelling at "a relatively high speed" at the time of the accident, police told a press conference.
The investigation would determine whether the light and sound signals at the crossing had worked at the time of the collision, authorities said.
TV2 television said that in July a 24-year-old driver was killed at a similar crossing three kilometres (two miles) away when his car was hit by a train.

Two killed in northern Colorado high-speed crash involving motorcycle
Two people are dead in northern Colorado after police say a motorcyclist ran a red light at 100 mph, causing a fiery crash. The Greeley Police Department said around 9:40 p.m. Friday, a motorcyclist was traveling west on 10th Street at over 100 miles per hour when they ran a red light at the 35th Avenue intersection. The motorcycle crashed into a vehicle traveling south on 35th Avenue and sparked a fire. Five vehicles were reportedly involved in the crash. Police said that after the fire was extinguished, the 19-year-old driver heading south on 35th Avenue was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the motorcycle was also pronounced dead at the scene. Police are working to identify the motorcyclist. Officials said the Weld County Coroner's Office will release the victim's identities following notification of their next of kin. GPD thanked the Greeley Fire Department and City Streets Department for quickly putting out the fire, saving the lives of the other victims. The crash remains under investigation. Man dead after police-involved shootout in Batavia, Illinois, authorities say
A man was killed in a police-involved shootout Saturday afternoon after officers responded to an unspecified incident in Batavia, Illinois. The Kane County Major Crimes Task Force said, around 4 p.m., officers from the Batavia Police Department and Kane County Sheriff's office responded to an incident in the 1200 block of East Wilson Street in Batavia. A 28-year-old man fired shots at responding officers, who returned fire. The man who fired at police was killed, but the Kane County Major Crimes Task Force said investigators have not yet determined whether any of the shots fired by police struck the man or contributed to his death. Officials did not provide any further details on the incident that led up to the shooting.
