1700 diamonds, fine gold work: Miss world crown costs more than a duplex in Mumbai, its worth Rs… There is a high chance that most girls would have dreamt at least once of being a part of a beauty pageant. From walking the ramp, preparing the right answers for the final round, to finally being crowned, this narrative lives rent-free in the minds of many girls. Besides the urge to win a title, it's the dream of being crowned that most beauty pageant participants fantasise. The crown holds utmost impact; it's not just a symbol of triumph, but it also illustrates power, grace, and years of hard work. However, what many don't know is that this crown isn't something that winners get to keep permanently; instead, it is kept by the Miss World organisation as part of the pageant's legacy. The winner instead is given a duplicate crown that they can keep with them as a memento of their win. The original crown is only worn by Miss World during her tenure. Unlike any other accessory, the crown is extremely precious and of great value. It speaks about the tale of discipline, confidence, and hard work. The 10th Miss World crown, which is also the current crown, was unveiled in the year 2019z it was designed very diligently by a Lebanese-Swiss luxury brand called Mauowaz. The theme of the crown revolved around 'Power of Unity' and was no less than impeccable. It was made in 18-carat gold and featured 1700 diamonds with a golden canary diamond of 62.83 in the center. The total weight of the crown is attributed to 175.47 carats. According to the reports, the worth of this crown is approximately Rs. 40 crores. Previous crowns were designed by renowned global jewelry houses like Mikimoto, DIC, and Diamond Nexus Labs, each bringing their own iconic flair. While walking the path of such a beauty pageant requires a lot of hard work, self-belief, and discipline, it all becomes worth it the moment its being crowned, serving a reminder of hard-earned glory
