Man in his 40s seriously injured after being struck in Scarborough
A man in his 40s has been seriously injured after being struck by a vehicle in Scarborough late Friday night.
In a post to social media, Toronto police say they were called to the area of Kingston Road and Lawrence Avenue East just after 10 p.m. for reports of a pedestrian being hit.
The victim was transported to hospital with 'serious injuries,' police said.
The driver remained at the scene and police are advising motorists to 'expect delays' in the area as the investigation continues.

Stolen tools recovered in Tilbury
Stolen tools have been recovered after they were seen by police in public. The incident happened on May 6 just before 7 a.m. The Chatham-Kent Police Service launched an investigation and said the tools were taken from a storage shed nearby. Woman, 52, dies after house fire in Sipekne'katik: N.S. RCMP

The RCMP said fire services and EHS were called to a structure fire on Tuff Street near Burma Road on Sunday around 12:25 a.m. Police say when officers arrived at the scene, the home was fully engulfed in flames. After the fire was extinguished, RCMP say firefighters located one person deceased inside the home. According to a RCMP release, criminality is not believed to be a factor. The investigation is ongoing and is being assisted by the Nova Scotia Fire Marshal's Office and the Nova Scotia Medical Examiner Service. Two suspects sought in Grey Highlands break-and-enter
Grey Bruce OPP are looking for two suspects wanted in connection with a break-and-enter on Valley Crescent in Grey Highlands. The incident took place early Monday morning between 4:10 a.m. and 4:20 a.m. Officers said two people went into a home and confronted the occupants, before they ran from the scene. One person was assaulted, according to OPP, and sustained minor injuries. Several items were also stolen from the home. Police arrived on scene after a neighbour called police. The suspects left the home before officers arrived on scene. The investigation is ongoing. Any residents in the Valley Crescent area are asked to check their security cameras or dashcams for suspicious activity between 4 a.m. and 5 a.m. on Monday.
