Bahraich: Bahraich has earned 9th spot in the overall CM Dashboard ranking released by the govt, reflecting remarkable administrative performance.
The credit for this achievement is being attributed to district magistrate Monika Rani, who is known for her daily monitoring of govt schemes.
According to the June 2025 report, six departments-- revenue, electricity, agriculture, rural development, health, animal husbandry, and industry secured a perfect 100% score in performance metrics. The revenue department secured the 2nd position across the state.
"The departments scoring 100% deserve appreciation. Others must improve so that Bahraich can claim the top rank," said Monika Rani.
Meanwhile under the Critical Gap Scheme for 2025-26, the state govt has released Rs 2 crore for developmental projects.
Of this, Rs 1.4 crore will be used for rural development and Rs 60 lakh for urban development.
Meanwhile during a review meeting, the DM approved the installation of 3 KVA solar plants and construction of boundary walls in rural cow shelters, with a total cost of Rs 1.4 lakh per site. She directed the concerned block development officers to submit the necessary cost estimates promptly.
In the urban sector, Rs 40 lakh is being spent on constructing a video conferencing hall at the District Informatics Center.

Gautam Adani's BIG move, begins exit from FMCG venture, sells major stake in AWL Agri Business in deal worth Rs 71500000000 to...

Gautam Adani (File) Adani Enterprises Ltd (AEL) announced on Thursday that it has agreed to sell a 20 per cent stake in AWL Agri Business Ltd to Lence Pte Ltd, a part of Wilmar International. The deal is priced at Rs. 275 per share, and the total value of the sale is Rs. 7,150 crore. With this move, Wilmar will now become the majority owner of AWL, holding 64 per cent of the company. Right now, Adani Commodities LLP, a unit of AEL, owns 30.42 per cent of AWL. This sale is part of Adani's ongoing plan to sell its entire 44 per cent stake in AWL and exit the FMCG (fast-moving consumer goods) business that it had jointly run with Wilmar. Agreement between Adani Commodities LLP and Lence Pte. Ltd In December 2024, Adani Commodities LLP (ACL) and Lence Pte. Ltd, a part of Wilmar International from Singapore, signed an agreement. As part of this deal, both sides gave each other the option to buy or sell Adani's shares in Adani Wilmar Limited (AWL) at a later date. They agreed on a price cap of Rs. 305 per share. At that time, both companies owned 44 per cent each in AWL, together holding 88 per cent of the company. In January 2025, Adani sold 13.5 per cent of its shares in AWL for Rs. 276.51 per share, raising Rs. 4,855 crore. This was done to follow rules that require more of the company's shares to be held by the public. After that sale, Adani still held around 30.42 per cent in AWL. Now, out of this, Adani plans to sell 11 per cent to 20 per cent to Lence. The rest will be offered to strategic partners and investors that Wilmar brings in. The final 10.42 per cent of Adani's stake will also be sold to selected investors before the deal with Lence is finished. Once all these sales are done, Adani will completely exit AWL. That means AWL will no longer be linked to Adani Enterprises in any official way. (With IANS inputs)

ED files chargesheet against Robert Vadra in Shikohpur land deal case

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has filed a chargesheet against businessman Robert Vadra, the brother-in-law of the Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, in connection with a money laundering case linked to a land deal in Shikohpur in Haryana. An ED official said after completing their investigation, a prosecution complaint was filed at the Rouse Avenue Court against 11 individuals or entities: Robert Vadra and his entities, including M/s Sky Light Hospitality Pvt Ltd and others, and Satyanand Yajee and Kewal Singh Virk, including their entity M/s Onkareshwar Properties Pvt Ltd, have been arrayed as accused. The court is yet to take cognisance of the prosecution complaint. The ED initiated its investigation on the basis of an FIR registered by the Gurgaon police on September 1, 2018. The FIR alleges that Vadra, through Sky Light Hospitality Pvt Ltd, fraudulently purchased 3.53 acres of land in Shikohpur village in Gurgaon's Sector 83 from Onkareshwar Properties Pvt Ltd on February 12, 2008, through a false declaration. 'Probe has revealed that the commercial license was also obtained by Robert Vadra on the land through his personal influence. A provisional attachment order was issued on July 16, 2025 in which 43 immovable properties amounting to Rs 37.64 crore pertaining to Robert Vadra and his entities M/s Sky Light Hospitality Pvt. Ltd. and others have been attached,' the ED official said. Criticising the move as 'political vendetta', Vadra had in April this year claimed that attempts were made to silence him and Rahul Gandhi. 'When I speak in favour of the country, I am stopped, Rahul is stopped from speaking in Parliament. The BJP is doing it. This is political vendetta,' he had said. 'People love me and want me to join politics… When I express my willingness to join politics, they bring up old issues to bring me down and divert from the real issues…,' he had added. In February 2008, Skylight Hospitality, which Vadra had launched in 2007 with a capital of Rs 1 lakh, bought about 3.5 acres of land in Manesar-Shikohpur in Gurgaon from Onkareshwar Properties for Rs 7.5 crore. The plot was mutated in favour of Skylight the next day, and the title of the land was reportedly transferred to Vadra within 24 hours of the purchase. This process usually takes at least three months. A month later, the Haryana government, which was then headed by Bhupinder Singh Hooda, gave Skylight Hospitality permission to develop a housing project on most of the land. This led to an immediate increase in the value of the land. In June 2008, real estate company DLF agreed to buy the plot for Rs 58 crore, which meant that in just a few months, the value of Vadra's property had increased by close to 700 per cent. The payment was made to Vadra in instalments, and it was only in 2012 that the mutation transferring the colony licence on the land was transferred to DLF. In 2018, an FIR was registered against Hooda, who was the chief minister of Haryana from 2005 to 2014, as well as against Vadra, and real estate companies DLF and Onkareshwar Properties for alleged criminal conspiracy, cheating, fraud, and forgery, and under provisions of the Prevention of Corruption Act. Hooda, Vadra, and the Congress have always denied any wrongdoing in this regard.
