Two expats, a Lebanese and a Colombian, have become the new winners of Dh100,000 each in the latest UAE Lottery draw. Both are now aiming for Dh100 million.
Recalling the moment he found he was one of the Lucky Chance ID winners, Cristian Buitrago said he immediately sent a notification to his wife.
"And she thought I'd won Dh100 – not Dh100,000!'

Laughing at the memory, the Colombian national living and working in the UAE since 2013, said the prize money will go toward his eldest daughter's education.
However, Cristian has his sights set on bigger goals. 'I'm focused on winning the grand prize,' he says. 'To everyone who's thinking of joining; go ahead. One day, luck will be on your side, and you will have the chance to make your dreams come true.'
Sharing his story, another Dh100,000 winner, Nadim Mohanna from Lebanon, said he decided to try his luck after receiving a notification on his cellphone from Botim about The UAE Lottery. 'I wasn't familiar with it at first,' he says.
'I told my wife about it,, and we kept it hush-hush until we confirmed it was real.'
Once he realised that The UAE Lottery is reliable, he gave it a try: 'It sounded official and secure, so I bought a ticket, and I plan to keep buying and participating in the games. Next time, I'm aiming for the Dh00 million.'
The next UAE lottery draw is on April 19, 2025, and players are urged to mark stay connected through the UAE Lottery's official channels for the latest updates and announcements.

Filipino Dental Technician Wins Dh100,000 in UAE Lottery

A Filipino expatriate who has spent 14 years crafting smiles in the UAE is now wearing one of his own after winning Dh100,000 in the UAE Lottery. Richard Remolacio, 35, a dental technician, secured the third prize in the 'Lucky Day' category during last weekend's draw — only his second time participating. He matched five 'Days' numbers and one 'Month' number, becoming one of just two winners in the category. 'I didn't actually expect that I would win,' Remolacio said, still in disbelief according to a report on Gulf News. The UAE Lottery, which operates under the slogan 'Dare to Imagine,' offers the country's largest prize pool, including an unclaimed Dh100 million jackpot. The next draw will be held on August 23.
