Justin Trudeau's rapper son moans in astonishingly entitled way as he sets out to prove he's NOT a nepo baby

Daily Mail10-05-2025

Justin Trudeau 's 17 year-old rapper son says it was 'unfulfilling' to live in a taxpayer-funded mansion, have bodyguards and meet countless A-List stars.
Xavier Trudeau has embarked on a journey to become an R&B artist and spoken about his famous father to promote his music - while insisting he's not a nepo baby.
Days after releasing his third single, titled Back Me Up, the teen hopped in a car with food review influencer G Hobs to discuss his childhood growing up as the prime minister's eldest son.
Although he admitted there were perks: security (which he still has), living in Rideau Cottage with his two siblings and his mother, and meeting 'any A-list celebrity you can think of,' it wasn't everything to the teen, he told Hobs in a video.
'It's not [normal], but you know what it is, it's different,' he told the influencer.
'It was always a good feeling until I got a little older. This is part of why I'm actually starting to do this stuff, because it always felt super good to be in these places, security around me, private escort, it was always a sick feeling.
'But inside, I was like I don't feel fulfilled. Like this isn't me.'
Xavier explained that the lack of fulfillment came from knowing that all the gilded trappings of his amazing life were due to his father and that he had not earned them himself.
But as the teen nears his 18th birthday, he said he wanted to 'create an identity for myself.'
'I want to be Xav, I don't want to be Justin Trudeau's son,' he told Hobs. 'I don't want to be doing all these cool things because of my dad, I want to do it because of me.'
In his debut song, titled Til The Nights Done, he even addressed this a little as he sings: 'What you know about me / I ain't like him.'
In his most recent single, he appeared to discuss his strange lifestyle and the discretion used around high-profile people and families.
He sings: 'I'm not just anybody, where I'm from / Keep it discreet, I keep it (Shh) / They won't even let me go out alone.'
Xavier released the songs under his own label, Pathway Music Group, and the label's co-founder Joey Boyer said the teen has a new take on R&B music.
'His "vibe" is dark ambient R&B with a hint of ballads,' Boyer told The National Post. 'Everything you will hear from Xav is 100 percent original and made specifically to curate to Xav's ideas.'
His father, Justin, announced his resignation on January 6 after nearly a decade in power, bowing to rising discontent over his leadership and growing turmoil within his government.
Although the nepo baby did admit he realized the life he lived while his dad served in the top position from 2015 to 2025 wasn't built by him and it came from his father's success. So, he now wants to forge his own identity (pictured: Trudeau family in September 2021)
Justin came to power in 2015 after 10 years of Conservative Party rule and was initially hailed for returning the country to its liberal past.
But the 53-year-old scion of one of Canada's most famous prime ministers became deeply unpopular with voters in recent years over a range of issues, including the soaring cost of food and housing, and surging immigration.
Xavier is the son of Sophie Gregoire Trudeau and Justin, who also share Ella-Grace Margaret and Hadrien Trudeau.
Sophie and Justin separated after 18 years of marriage in August 2023.
Xavier comes from a long line of politicians as his grandfather Pierre Trudeau was also a prime minister for the North American country from 1968 to 1979.

Olivia Rodrigo, 22, brings rock legend, 73, on stage at Gov Ball... but 'not a single kid there knew him'

Oliva Rodrigo brought out a special guest during her performance at 2025 Governors Ball Music Festival on Saturday night, but some of her fans were scratching their heads as to who it was. The singer, who was seen glammed up last week at an appearance for Lancôme in Manhattan, New York, invited none other than David Byrne from Talking Heads to sing with her. The two came together for a rocking rendition of one of Talking Heads' biggest hits, 1983's Burning Down the House, during the set at Flushing Meadows - Corona Park in Queens, NY. Byrne, 73, wore red overalls and a white T-shirt to coordinate with Rodrigo's sparkling red bra top and brief bottoms. The pair choreographed the performance with some simple dance moves that Talking Heads fans would recognize right away. While some were blown away by the collaboration, many of Rodrigo's fans seemed to have no idea about the Byrne's stature in the music community. 'What I imagine dancing in my underwear with my dad would be like,' was one comment. 'As millennial, this is before and after my time,' wrote a follower. 'Bet many of her fans said who's that old man she invited on stage,' joked one fan on Billboard's Instagram page. 'Much respect to her because 90% of her demographic is 100% confused by this,' one person commented on the Pop Base page on X. Another added, 'If you don't know who David Byrne is, you don't get to have an opinion.' 'Can't hate on someone trying to open up a whole new generation's ears to some great music,' agreed another. 'Yeah unfortunately I can see how Olivia's usual crowd doesn't quite understand the moment but it's still awesome nonetheless,' said one commenter on the Fauxmoi page on Reddit, which also shared a video clip of the performance. Another Reddit commenter praised Rodrigo for introducing her fans to other members of the music community. In the past she has collaborated with Sheryl Crow, Alanis Morissette, Jewel, Natalie Imbruglia and Avril Lavigne. While some were blown away by the collaboration, many of Rodrigo's fans seemed to have no idea about the Byrne's stature in the music community Music fans not familiar with the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame members can learn more about them in the 1984 concert film Stop Making Sense. The movie was re-released in 2023,which is available of various streaming services. On June 5, the band released the very first video for their 1977 hit Psycho Killer starring Saoirse Ronan. 'Made in celebration of 50th anniversary of the band's first show at CBGB's, the video follows a young woman unraveling while stuck in her daily routine. It's a disquieting portrait of isolation that echoes the tension at the heart of the iconic song,' the band wrote on their Instagram page to debut the short film. Rodrigo is still traveling on her Guts World Tour. Her next stop will be Dublin, Ireland on June 24.

Rod Stewart, 80, is supported by pregnant daughter Kimberly, 45, and lookalike son Sean, 44, as he's seen for the first time since being left 'devastated' after cancelling SIX shows due to ill health

Sir was seen for the first time since being left 'devastated' after cancelling six shows due to ill health while stepping out in Beverly Hills, just weeks ahead of his planned Glastonbury performance. The Maggie May hitmaker, 80, was supported by daughter Kimberly, 45, and lookalike son Sean, 44, as they headed for dinner at swanky restaurant Matsuhisa. Rod, who put on a brave face and flashed a smile despite still recovering from flu, wore a black velvet jacket with gold trim which he teamed with jeans and a white shirt. Shielding his eyes behind shades the rocker accessorised with a quirky necklace as he arrived in a chauffeur-driven car. Meanwhile Kimberly, who is expecting her child, showcased her blossoming bump in a black mini dress which she wore with a chic blazer and boots. From A-list scandals and red carpet mishaps to exclusive pictures and viral moments, subscribe to the DailyMail's new Showbiz newsletter to stay in the loop. Although she has not revealed the identify of her baby-to-be's father, the model already shares a 13-year-old daughter, named Delilah, with her ex Benicio Del Toro. Her brother Sean, 44, cut a causal figure in a white T-shirt as the siblings were on hand to support their beloved father amid his health woes. Rod shares eight children with five mothers. He is a father to four daughters Sarah, 61, Kimberly, Ruby, 37, and Renee, 33 and four sons Sean, Liam, 30, and Alastair Wallace, 19, and Aiden Patrick, 14, whom he shares with wife Penny. It comes after the iconinc singer took to Instagram to announce he'd been forced to cancel another six US shows after already axing two gigs in Las Vegas earlier this week on doctor's orders. He wrote in a statement: 'I have to cancel and reschedule my next six concerts in June as I continue to recover from the flu,' 'So sorry my friends. I'm devastated and sincerely apologise for any inconvenience to my fans. I'll be back on stage and will see you soon.' He also listed the four shows he was cancelling in Las Vegas and Stateline, Nevada, as well as two he plans to reschedule in California. On Thursday Sir Rod was due to take to the stage at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, only to cancel the show 24-hours before .The hitmaker hasn't as of yet confirmed a new date. Posting an Instagram statement on Wednesday, he wrote: 'I'm awfully sorry to have to cancel my show June 5th at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace. 'My doctor ordered a bit more rest while I recover from the flu. Thanks for your love and understanding.' Rod was also forced to reschedule his residency gig days earlier on Monday, with a new date set for June 10. He said in a social media statement: 'I am sorry to inform you that I'm not feeling well and my show tonight at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace is being rescheduled to June 10. Your tickets will be valid for the new date.' The latest set back comes just weeks of the crooner's planned Sunday afternoon legends slot at Glastonbury Festival in Somerset on June 29. He was put on vocal rest amid his mammoth One Last Time Tour, and last month seen with a sign around his neck informing anyone he came into contact with that he could not speak after his concert at Milan's Unipol Forum. It read: 'Sorry. Cannot talk. Having vocal rest.' He returned to the stage at the MEO Arena in Lisbon, Portugal, three days later on May 13. The music veteran will be done with 'large-scale world tours' once he finishes this year's shows in Europe and North America. However, he has no plans to retire. The 'You Wear It Well' singer wrote on Instagram: 'This will be the end of large-scale world tours for me, but I have no desire to retire. 'I love what I do, and I do what I love. 'I'm fit, have a full head of hair, and can run 100 metres in 18 seconds at the jolly old age of 79. 'I'd like to move onto a Great American Songbook, Swing Fever tour the year after next – smaller venues and more intimacy. But then again, I may not...' It comes as Sir Rod is planning a mini-reunion with his band Faces when he takes to the stage at Glastonbury. Ronnie Wood, who is a close friend of the Hot Legs hitmaker and performed alongside him in the 70s, is heading to Worthy Farm for a performance. Rod himself shared the news during an interview on The Peter Crouch podcast, after he was asked whether he's kept in touch with the Rolling Stones or Sir Elton John. He replied: 'Not really, but Woody and I do a lot just recently because we are going to do Glastonbury together.' Rod was also forced to reschedule his residency gig days earlier on Monday, with a new date set for June 10 When asked why they lost touch, Rod said it was because Ronnie and Elton had quit booze, saying: 'I think they stay away from me.' Rod was tight-lipped when asked whether Faces drummer Kenney Jones will be joining them on-stage. However, the music legend confirmed in November that he had reunited with his Faces bandmates for a new album. Speaking on the Soccer A-Z podcast, Rod said: 'I'm meeting up with the last two members of the Faces tomorrow, and we're working on a documentary, because next year will be our 50th anniversary, or 60s. 'I don't know what it is, but when the faces were together, and we're trying to put out an album. So I shall be with Mr. Woods and Mr. Jones.' Rod and Ronnie have been friends since 1969 when they were both members of rock group Faces. Although the band parted ways in 1975, the pair kept in touch, with Rod serving as best man to Ronnie's wedding to Sally in 2012.

Justin Bieber confesses he is 'tired of transactional relationships' amid growing concern

Justin Bieber shared another worrisome post to Instagram on Sunday amid growing concern online from fans over his health. On Saturday morning, the Baby singer, 31, shared two photos to Instagram, including an extreme closeup of his face. 'Tired of transactional relationships,' his captioned the images. 'If I have to do something to be loved, that's not love.' The father-of-one's post seemingly reflects a feeling of emotional exhaustion and disillusionment with relationships based on what he can offer, rather than who he truly is. In response, many of his 294 million followers took to the comment section to express alarm over the statement. 'This post sounds like it's coming from a 20 year old, not from someone who is in their 30s with a wife and kid,' one fan wrote. That same commenter added: 'Love is transactional, that's the point, that's real love. Love is not supposed to be unconditional, unless it's your child. Another described Bieber as 'the britney spears of our generation.' 'You can't love someone who doesn't give you anything to love them for.' The new post comes after Justin shared startling new selfies before referencing a hallucinogenic drug on Saturday. In the caption, Bieber penned to his followers: 'IM ACCEPTING THAT GOD FORGIVES ME THIS MORNING. 'SO CAN I CAN FORGIVE MYSELF AND OTHERS TODAY. JOIN ME IF YOU WOULD LIKE,' Justin concluded followed by a thumbs up emoji. Justin also jumped to his Instagram stories to share more selfies alongside lengthy cryptic messages to his followers - and referenced to the hallucinogenic drug ketamine. He included a screenshot as he asked AI: 'Has ketamine been used to control people's emotions.' The response that popped up claimed that, 'There is clear evidence that ketamine has been misused in certain law enforcement scenarios, particularly in ways that amount to chemical restraint or social control. Another fan aptly said, 'This post sounds like it's coming from a 20 year old, not from someone who is in their 30s with a wife and kid' 'With disproportionate effects on Black individuals. This is a serious public health, legal and racial justice issue.' Justin also wrote over an image of himself which read, 'This is how I feel after people keep telling me theres more work to do after the ive given everything I have to give,' he wrote over one image of himself. Bieber continued, 'I dont think any of us can handle hearing "You just gotta try a little harder and you will be like me." It's not true. I listened to those fools who told me to work harder. 'And there's no end to trying to earn ur spot in this life because I tried. U have everything u need right now.' The pop star also took to Instagram on June 3 with a bizarre post to share his thoughts about telling other people what they do or do not 'deserve.' 'Telling other humans they deserve something is like raising someone else's kids,' he wrote in his latest post. 'Who are you to tell someone what someone should or shouldn't have?' He balked at 'the audacity' and slammed his fans' unsolicited opinions: 'That's not your place. God decides what we deserve.' In response to his post, fans flooded his comments section with messages voicing concern, calling out his 'hypocrisy' and urging him to 'take a social media break.' Many fans seemed to believe he was responding to recent fan comments telling his wife Hailey that she 'deserves better' after his 'disrespectful' posts towards her. This comes after fans criticized his 'Mother's Day sucks a**' post on his wife's first Mother's Day since they welcomed their first child, son Jack Blues Bieber, in August 2024. They also pointed out that he recently admitted he previously told Hailey that she would 'never' land a Vogue cover in a since-deleted caption meant to congratulate his wife on that same, recent accomplishment. He shared the post to his Instagram Story accompanied by Lil Tecca's song OWA OWA, in which he raps about pleasuring his partner and 'making it clear to his significant other that his time and presence should not be taken for granted,' per Genius. One fan commented on the Peaches singer's post and wrote: 'Justin. You told Hailey she couldn't be on a cover of Vogue, isn't that telling her she can't have something?' 'Didn't you just tell this girl she couldn't be on Vogue,' another fan wrote. Similar comments flooded his post. One person asked him: 'Brother didn't you tell your wife she could never be on the cover of Vogue???' Another person added, 'Take a break from social media, Justin.' 'I think you should leave God out of this and grow up,' one Instagram user penned. 'God told me you need a social media break,' another fan commented. Justin's recent posts come amid concern about not only his marriage but his mental wellbeing regarding his increasingly bizarre behavior. After Hailey's Rhode beauty brand was acquired in a $1 billion deal last week, many fans started telling her to divorce Justin now that she has found fame and fortune on her own. Though many of the posts were apparent jokes, the couple have been entangled in rumors of marital woes while Justin has been on the receiving end of substantial backlash. The pair have been married nearly seven years after they tied the knot in 2018. Last year, they welcomed their first child together, son Jack Blues Bieber, who will turn one in August.
