Logicalis launches Cisco XDR managed service in Asia Pacific
Customers across Australia, Hong Kong, and Singapore will be the first in the region to access the Cisco MXDR service, which offers advanced, AI-driven cybersecurity monitoring and response through a unified incident management platform. The solution is designed to address increasing cyber threats faced by organisations across APAC.
According to the Logicalis APAC CIO report, 91 percent of organisations surveyed experienced cybersecurity incidents in the past 12 months, with more than half of those experiencing multiple breaches.
"Security is the number one concern for our customers and we're seeing a tidal wave of demand for services amidst a growing skills gap," said Lee Chong-Win, CEO of Logicalis Asia Pacific.

Delivered as a managed service, Cisco XDR integrates with a range of existing security tools and complements an organisation's endpoint protection systems. It leverages AI-driven automation to enhance incident detection and response, enabling faster mitigation of threats across environments.
The service is delivered through Logicalis's regional SOC in Malaysia and is supported by its broader network of global SOCs across Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA), and the Americas.
Dave West, President of Cisco Asia Pacific, Japan, and Greater China, said the collaboration with Logicalis exemplifies the potential of technology partnerships to deliver meaningful outcomes for businesses.

Logicalis's Cisco XDR as a Managed Service is currently undergoing validation as a global Cisco Powered Service (CPS), which the company says will further strengthen its position as a preferred managed security provider for Cisco technologies.
The Malaysian SOC plays a key role in Logicalis's regional cybersecurity capabilities, combining local expertise with global threat intelligence. The centre provides continuous monitoring, high levels of threat visibility, and compliance support, helping customers respond to and manage cyber risks effectively.
Logicalis says its global SOC framework allows it to deliver consistent service standards while tailoring its cybersecurity offerings to regional needs.
Customers in EMEA are already live on the service, and Logicalis expects its APAC rollout to set a new standard for managed cybersecurity services in the region.

Trend Micro unveils Agentic SIEM to automate & streamline security
Trend Micro has launched Agentic SIEM, an artificial intelligence-powered security solution designed to address the longstanding challenges faced by traditional Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) systems. SIEM challenges Security Information and Event Management systems are relied upon by organisations to detect and respond to cyber threats. However, users of traditional SIEM solutions regularly cite challenges around high costs, operational complexity, alert overload, and passive data storage. Manual setup and static parsing also reportedly hinder effective management of the increasing variety and volume of contemporary data sources. The newly-announced Agentic SIEM deploys agentic AI to automate and improve key tasks, acting independently to reduce the number of alerts and streamline the workload of security teams. The platform is designed from the outset to utilise AI-driven capabilities in detecting, learning from, and responding to threats with minimal human intervention. Integration and scale Agentic SIEM supports over 900 data sources from launch, with integration options not only for Trend's proprietary XDR security sensors but also for third-party telemetry. This aims to provide a more comprehensive view of the security environment. The solution also offers three-day onboarding for new log types, with an aim to reduce this further to three hours by 2026. Data retention features include up to seven years of archival storage and two years of analytics retention, supporting both compliance and threat hunting requirements. Agentic SIEM is built to complement Trend's digital twin technology, enabling proactive risk mitigation across sectors such as healthcare, supply chains, predictive maintenance, and smart infrastructure. Industry perspective "As the cybersecurity stack increasingly becomes AI driven, the security data layer must evolve to support data-hungry agentic capabilities, including infusing agentic AI into core SIEM functions. Trend Vision One Agentic SIEM enters the SIEM market at a pivotal time, leveraging Agentic AI from the ground up to drive speed, performance, and a new level of risk-driven, contextual insights to rapidly mitigate cyber threat activity." This observation from Dave Gruber, Principal Cybersecurity Analyst at ESG, reflects current industry expectations for greater automation and intelligence in responding to security challenges. Workload automation The system employs agentic AI to map and optimise data flows swiftly, automating tasks that previously took security teams weeks to configure and manage. Trend Micro states that this immediate reduction in manual effort allows security professionals to concentrate on strategic and analytical work instead of routine monitoring and response. "Agentic SIEM is a major stepping stone to our long-term vision for full, AI-driven SecOps. It's a future in which security teams will have more time to work on strategic tasks, safe in the knowledge that our agentic AI has their backs. Use cases According to Trend Micro, Agentic SIEM can facilitate a range of use cases including automated threat detection and response, streamlined compliance support, and enhanced incident investigation. By performing autonomous data analysis, correlating information from multiple sources, and retaining extensive historical data, the system aims to reduce investigation timeframes and improve accuracy. The combination of Agentic SIEM with digital twin technology is intended to bolster cyber resilience and compliance further. Trend Micro points to prospective benefits in environments where virtual models and real-time data integration can inform risk mitigation, such as in healthcare operations, supply chain security, smart building management and predictive maintenance scenarios.

Linux Foundation adopts AGNTCY to standardise agentic AI
The Linux Foundation has announced that it is welcoming the AGNTCY project, an open source initiative aimed at standardising foundational infrastructure for open multi-agent artificial intelligence (AI) systems. AGNTCY delivers core components required for discovery, secure messaging, and cross-platform collaboration among AI agents that originate from different companies and frameworks. The project has the backing of industry players including Cisco, Dell Technologies, Google Cloud, Oracle, and Red Hat, all of whom have joined as formative members under the Linux Foundation's open governance. Originally released as open source by Cisco in March 2025 with collaboration from LangChain and Galileo, AGNTCY now includes support from over 75 companies. Its infrastructure forms the basis for the so-called 'Internet of Agents' - an environment where AI agents from diverse origins are able to communicate, collaborate, and be discovered regardless of vendor or execution environment. The increasing adoption of AI agents across industries has led to concerns about fragmentation and the formation of closed silos, constraining agents' ability to communicate across platforms securely and efficiently. AGNTCY's infrastructure aims to address these issues by standardising secure identity, robust messaging, and comprehensive observability. This allows organisations and developers to manage AI agents with improved transparency, performance, and trust. Compatibility is a focus for AGNTCY, which is interoperable with the Agent2Agent (A2A) project, also part of the Linux Foundation, as well as Anthropic's Model Context Protocol (MCP). The project supports agent discovery through AGNTCY directories, enables observable environments using AGNTCY's software development kits (SDKs), and utilises the Secure Low Latency Interactive Messaging (SLIM) protocol for secure message transport. "The AGNTCY project lays groundwork for secure, interoperable collaboration among autonomous agents," said Jim Zemlin, executive director of the Linux Foundation. "We are pleased to welcome the AGNTCY project to the Linux Foundation to ensure its infrastructure remains open, neutral, and community-driven." The AGNTCY project's infrastructure offers several key functions for multi-agent environments. Agent discovery is facilitated using the Open Agent Schema Framework (OASF), allowing agents to identify and understand each other's capabilities. Agent identity is supported via cryptographically verifiable processes to ensure secure activity across organisational boundaries. The agent messaging component supports various communication modes, including human-in-the-loop and quantum-safe options via the SLIM protocol. Observability functionalities provide evaluation and debugging across complex, multi-vendor workflows. "Building the foundational infrastructure for the Internet of Agents requires community ownership, not vendor control," said Vijoy Pandey, general manager and senior vice president of Outshift by Cisco. "The Linux Foundation ensures this critical infrastructure remains neutral and accessible to everyone building multi-agent systems." The project is underpinned by real-world applications, including AI-driven continuous integration and deployment pipelines, multi-agent IT operations, and the automation of telecom networks. This underlines the diversity of use cases benefitting from AGNTCY's open source approach. Various leaders and members have shared their perspective on the announcement: "Interoperability is central to Dell's agentic AI vision. CEH Hall of Fame 2025 report shows ethical hackers impact
EC-Council has released the CEH Hall of Fame 2025 Industry Report, providing analysis on the career trajectories and global impact of the top certified ethical hackers. The CEH Hall of Fame 2025 Industry Report reviews data gathered from 481 cybersecurity professionals - ranging from entry-level analysts to CISOs - who have undertaken EC-Council's Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) credential. The report focuses on how the CEH certification has contributed to career advancement, enhanced industry recognition, improved hands-on proficiency, and broadened skills for cybersecurity practitioners worldwide. To select the Hall of Fame 2025 inductees, EC-Council started with candidates scoring at least 90% on the CEH certification exam. This pool was refined to 460 finalists from 93 countries, with selection based on leadership, contributions to the cybersecurity community, innovation in threat mitigation, and visible career progression. Of these, 100 professionals have been inducted into the Hall of Fame, representing what EC-Council describes as the vanguard of ethical hacking expertise. The report draws extensively on the professional experiences of these finalists and inductees. It quantifies the impact of CEH certification, stating that 98% of all surveyed ethical hackers credited the certification for a shift in their cybersecurity careers. Other statistics include 95% of participants reporting significant salary growth following their certification and 86% seeing increased job opportunities as a direct result of pursuing this training. Furthermore, 91% of respondents consider the credential to offer a competitive edge over other cybersecurity certifications. Highlighting the workplace value of ethical hacking credentials, the report states that 100% of Hall of Fame recipients experienced increased respect and recognition at work post-certification, with an equal percentage stating they would recommend the CEH programme to their peers. In terms of skills and practical application, the report shows that 99% of the Hall of Fame group found the programme's virtual labs played a critical role in building real-world hacking competencies, and 97% cited the CEH's effectiveness in addressing emerging security threats and trends. Notably, these professionals are contributing expertise at companies including Cisco, Microsoft, and Google. The findings also reference industry challenges, such as the projected cybersecurity talent shortage, which is expected to reach 4 million by 2026. By providing in-depth training across areas like network security, web application security, and AI-driven threat detection, EC-Council positions the CEH and related programmes as part of the solution to this skills gap. This year's Hall of Fame showcases the extraordinary caliber of cybersecurity professionals shaping the future of global digital defense. These inductees have elevated ethical hacking to a strategic discipline, where their expertise not only protects critical systems but actively drives organizational growth, resilience, and trust. Their leadership exemplifies how technical excellence, and forward-thinking are now essential to navigating the digital world with confidence.
